And when I thought my day couldn't possibly get any worse, it did. Right after I sat down in the cafeteria and started eating my lunch, that stupid Phyllis sat down beside me. ¨I can't believe you cried in the middle of class. You are a crybaby,¨ she says. ¨I wouldn't have done it if you could have remembered the sweater was yours. My birthday wouldn't be ruined!¨ I say. ¨I knew it was mine the entire time! Sylvia and I set this up weeks ago! We just wanted to see you embarrass yourself in front of everybody,¨ she replies. That's when I really start to get mad. I take a piece of my hamburger and throw it at her. The lunch lady rushes over, but she doesn't say anything. Phyllis takes the hamburger piece and throws it back at me. ¨Now, who started this?¨ asks the lunch lady. ¨Rachel did. I was just defending myself,¨ remarks Phyllis. I sit quietly and finish my lunch, trying not to cause any more trouble. …show more content…
Price and the lunch lady talking. Maybe she is talking about someone else I keep thinking. I thought they were never going to stop talking, but finally they did. After we got back to the classroom, Mrs. Price called me up to her desk. “Rachel, I cannot believe you started a food fight in the middle of the cafeteria!” she exclaims. I told her all about Phyllis and Sylvia’s plan to embarrass me, and what Phyllis had said about me. All of the sudden, her eyes began to water, and her mouth begins to quiver. She looks as she is going to cry. “Oh Rachel, I am so sorry for the way I treated you!” she says in the most sympathetic voice I had ever heard her use. That was surely the best part of my day. Phyllis and Sylvia both had to go to the principal’s office for the rest of the day! Maybe my birthday wasn’t all bad after
Carmen laughs and say. “I just told you why I have to go”, said Carmen. ”Why you treating Carmen like that”, said Brooklyn? This whole conflict turned into something it wasn’t. People who were in the park turned around and started looking and staring, and some even might have pulled out their phones. “ This is not called for”, said Carmen. The general manager over the whole park heard and saw the fuss and went over there to see what was going on. “ What seems to be the problem”, said general manager. “I have finals today, and Miss manager here is making me late”, said Carmen. “First, She was talking to me telling me that she was getting ready to go, so I can take her last hour and Ms. Manager came over to her with a mean look on her face; starting trouble”, said Brooklyn. “School come first Carmen, it’s okay go and take your finals, good luck baby girl”, said general manager. “ And for you manager, stop being mean to your co-workers loosen up a little bit ”, said general manager. Manager rolled her eyes and walked
Early that morning, newly hired park ranger, Jennifer Flores, stuffed a banana into the blender and mixed up a high energy chocolate drink. Her dark brown hair was pulled back into a ponytail and her face was clean and free of makeup. She was dressed in a black jogging outfit that hugged her body tightly and showed off her shape. She poured her drink into a glass and guzzled it down like she was in a beer chugging contest with her sorority sisters.
It was summer time, and twilight. We were sitting on the porch of the farm-house, on the summit of the hill, and "Aunt Rachel" was sitting respectfully below our level, on the steps, -- for she was our servant, and colored. She was of mighty frame and stature; she was sixty years old, but her eye was undimmed and her strength unabated. She was a cheerful, hearty soul, and it was no more trouble for her to laugh than it is for a bird to sing. She was under fire, now, as usual when the day was done. That is to say, she was being chaffed without mercy, and was enjoying it. She would let off peal after peal of laughter, and then sit with her face in her hands and shake with throes of enjoyment which she could no longer get breath enough to express.
about the subject; whereas Sally’s expression is in disagreement. When they go into a diner;
As I wandered through the cobblestoned streets of The Town, I realized something wasn’t quite right. The People were gathered around what seemed to be a wooden platform. Some had tears in their eyes, and some looked as if they might faint. My stomach churned. The People were always happy, celebrating and laughing, never as they are now. I went to find My Human, Meg, who had bright red hair, easily found. Meg had always been kind to me and my lot, taking it upon herself to feed and shelter us. She even let me sleep on her bed on especially cold nights. Most of The People were not so kind. They drowned our runts, or those who got too old.
I sit in my house with guilt rushing through my blood. How could I do this to Rachel? How could I trick her into marrying me? Why have I focused my life on money instead of love? Why have I betrayed her? She sits quietly. Eating two meals at once like a great white shark devouring a fish. She concentrates on every little thing she does. For just a second I focus on her. Then my mind clouds, and one image has appeared. Vanessa. As if she controlled my mind and altered what thoughts I had. I have been having an affair with Vanessa, Rachel’s neighbor, for a little while now. She is as beautiful as a diamond in the sunshine. Her jet black hair falls perfectly to her shoulders, and her bright green eyes seem as though they look into her soul. Her
The thunder clapped against the sky, sounding like thousands of galloping horses. There was no sign of human life except for the truck and luxury horse trailer that zoomed by. Hard rain hit the trailer, making loud thuds against it's rusted metal. A young teenager with brown curly hair, freckles, and blue eyes sat in the back seat of the red truck. The girl glanced at the camper/trailer behind them and sighed.
She runs home as fast as she cans, leaving a watery black trail behind her. As she runs up onto her doorstep, a strange looking figure walks slowly behind her. She slams open the door with giant grayish black stain on the living room rug. “O my gosh, honey what happened to you!” Yollies mother gasped. “My dress is ruined; ruined I tell you, it started to rain my hair got soaked and just if that wasn’t good enough, the dye on my dress washed away!” She cried. As her mom hears a knock on the door she opens it, and she asked,”hi young man, may I help you? Yollie turned around and saw it, he was Ernie a Castillo! With his black suit soaked his hair damp and the purple flower in his suit pocket, light purple flower petals flowing away with every drop of the rain. “Ernie what are you doing here!”she gasped. He had came back for her out of the love in his heart. He wanted Yollie to feel better after all her clothes got ruined.
Stacy don’t open the door." Timmy whispered in a frightened voice. "I won't sweetheart I wont." As I pushed my back against the wall broken glass had splattered above my head and all over me. As soon as I felt the strange man grabbing my hair I stood up, away from the dangerous guy. "What do you want? Don’t hurt these innocent children!" As I yelled in a tone that I had never yelled in before, the threatening man opened the door. As soon as I noticed he had opened the door I stood in front of the children's desk with my hands held apart one to the left, as one to the right. "Please stop!" I yelled in a frightened voice. "Move out the way lady!" As the perilous man pushed me to the side he picked up the desk. Sarah still curled up in a ball. I noticed him picking her up. "Mrs. Stacy please don’t let him take me! Stop I don’t like you dad!" I was in shocked to hear Sarah's words coming out of her mouth. "Don’t come near me lady!" As Sarah's dad was about to leave the room I threw a chair at her dad's back. "Put her down I said!" As I shouted to him, he had left me unconscious there sitting on the
She had a brace around her neck and one of her eyes was swollen shut. She couldn’t speak, everything hurt. Her owner had returned her. He said she was defective, and the agency blamed her for the beating. The woman chided her that she should have pleased him more. If she had tried harder he wouldn’t have beat her. Rachel didn’t even have the strength to cry.
Lunch mercifully arrived, and Lewis broke one of his self-imposed rules and let himself slouch. Over the summer, he had been accustomed to grabbing something from Sylvester's refrigerator or cabinet if even the thought of hunger passed through his mind. Now, Lewis had to wait four hours for a tray of food. It seemed like Sylvester was on the same page when he grabbed Lewis's arm and quickly dragged him toward the lunch line. Knowing Sylvester, Lewis got in line first to let the big guy know what the blondie was going to get. Sylvester never wanted to get the same thing since Lewis always shared. He grabbed a fruit salad, and whatever else that looked colorful.
Sarah-Alice was in the football field as she smiled happy to be back at Long Beach High after a long summer knowing how that right now this is a new year to start. She then saw the cheerleaders for the first time only to then say,"Alright I need you girls to start doing five laps and then some stretches so we can practice some routines before our Football team comes." She then saw her team start to do her laps while she took her coat only to then show her workout outfit since it was now eighty degrees out. Sarah-Alice then smiled as she ran with her team only to do some stretches until the girls were staring at the team. She then had her eyes caught on one certain god in human form. She knew on the back of his shirt said Winchester so she knew

“I was wrong for not getting the glasses. Gladys had told me to go get them the night before and I forgot because my husband had not come home that night until 30 minutes before I was due at work. It wasn’t until Gladys sent me upstairs that I remembered that I had not purchased the glasses for ICE,” Rebecca admitted. All was forgiven. Rebecca and Gladys would be going home -as soon as Racine, was done building her sister’s confidence.
