After high school there are several different options from the military to college. The most popular of these choices is going to college, but why do people pick college over going straight in to the work force? It is proven that having a college degree increases your average monthly income. No, money is not everything but it can contribute to your happiness. Having a college degree can also increase your chances of getting a better job. Yes, it is possible to go to work directly out of high school but it is almost impossible to earn enough to support a family. I personally want to get my college degree because it will give me the best opportunity to one day support my family.

I would like to attend college because I want to be able to demonstrate not only to myself but to my family that we can do what we set ourselves to do. One of the reasons why I want to attend college is that college will draw in new and vibrant colors to my life; new experiences! Experiences beyond my hometown.
