The reason I want to graduate is because I want to get out of high school. I want to go to college, get a full time job, and spend time with my brother and sister-in-law. I want to major in childcare when I finish high school. I want to get a full time job at a daycare center. I want to spend time with my brother and sister-in-law. “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams,” recited Eleanor Roosevelt. Why is it that some high schoolers want to graduate early? Are there any benefits to the advancement position at which some high schoolers would like to achieve by graduating early? The answer to that question is yes! There are so many great opportunities for those students who want to progress with life quicker and hopefully more accomplished. Early graduation can offer high school students and families a more stable and helpful financial environment. I attend a relatively small, private, Catholic high school in northern New Jersey called Don Bosco Prep. I am involved in a variety of activities including sports, music, and various clubs and organizations. My school encouraged me to grow academically, socially, culturally, and spiritually. Our school motto is “empowering young men for life”. I feel that my school has given me the tools to be an engaged student. The school promotes a brotherhood which has benefitted me personally. Whether a friendship forged from a study group or one formed with a teammate, each friendship brings different experiences to my life for which I am grateful.
I plan on going into work right after high school. The reason I want to go to work after high school is because my mom works at this business that pays very good money. And you only need a high school education to work there. This is a very good business and could make me have a good life for me and my future family. I also go there on weekend and help with the business whatever they ask me to do I do it and everyone at the job knows me and always say I will do a good job at the job.
High school literacy is linked to the high school dropout rate. While the high school dropout rates have declined over the past decade, the facts that influence this phenomenon continue to be consistent. There are multiple reasons for why students would drop out of high school. The following are just some of the reasons to why kids might dropout, including that they missed too many days, they thought they could not complete the course requirements, they didn’t feel safe, or even that they had to support their families (Doll, Eslami and Walters). A majority of students that dropout said that they were not motivated to work hard. They also said that if the teachers would have tried to push them harder they would have stayed in school. 70% of these students said that they believed that they could have graduated if they had tried (Azzam).

After more than twelve years of schooling why quit in high school? Your whole life has been built around school. Many older adults who have dropped out of highschool and regret making that decision. Students should stay in high school and graduate for a better chance to be accepted into college. Planning for their future is one of the most important things for students. If they continue to stay involved with the school and the community, their reputation will grow. Also, their hard work would be recognized through school activities. For example, community service is a way to show your dedication to your town. Students who decide to stay in high school will have a better education than those who drop out. I would like to enter higher education as soon as I get out of high school or else I may lose the determination to go to college all together. I’ve been fortunate enough to have my parents offer to let me live with them during college years and help me pay for college. I’d like to pursue a career in nursing at Bluefield State College after High School since they offer the classes I need and have expressed slight interest in me already. As fun as it would be to have my own private house or more realistically an apartment I believe that the financially sound choice would be continuing to live with my parents while I work on some kind of job during college. Id preferably like to work at a GameStop where my relatively empty pool of skills will
I have already exhibited the necessary behavior and maturity to further my education independently. I currently am expected by both my high school and community college administrations to attend online courses and excel within the classes. Within these classes I rarely communicate with my teacher aside from assigned topics, leaving me to properly complete the assignment by the deadline, with minimal help from others. Also, I feel that being ready for independent learning with minimal teacher interaction requires the student to display maturity and respect for their education, which I feel I have a tendency to exhibit more than my fellow peers. Furthermore, I feel that my attitude towards education and learning new, complex material has prepared me to advance my education on my own, in an environment that welcomes challenging academics.
School is a difficult thing that we all go through. As we progress through the school years, it becomes more and more difficult to handle. Waking up early every morning just to sit in a classroom for eight hours does not sit well with people. There are many individuals who are in school that reach their limit, the ones that are in college often question themselves about whether or not they have made the right decision to progress on to college. Those that are in high school do not feel like they can make it to their graduation day, this is where the idea of dropping out comes in. Students are often pressured to drop out of college or even high school because of the stress that they are receiving. Will I be judged for dropping out? What will my family think of me? How can I make it in society being a
To evolve into the historian I desire, a master’s degree in History from the University of Texas at San Antonio, I believe, provides the best opportunity to advance both my personal and professional goals. I view myself as a lifelong learner and the desire to continue adding to my knowledge. I love to challenge myself academically and believe a graduate education provides an avenue for continued learning and challenges. My original plan did not include applying to graduate school, but events within the past semesters at my current university introduced me to a new array of possibilities.
Even though it would be nice to get out early, even though it would be nice to go out to lunch, even though it would be nice to take a nap, I acquiesced to stay in school for five periods.
When I have a goal in mind, I will stop at nothing to achieve it. Through hard work and dedication, I plan to achieve every educational and career goal I have. One of my many goals is to graduate college. I plan to work towards a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. After graduation, I would like to attend Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas, to obtain a Master of Theology. I feel called to full-time Christian Ministry, so having a business degree as well as a theology degree will help me be well rounded. Many people ask, “Why are you getting a degree in finance if you want to be a preacher?” Well, churches today are run like businesses. They have their offerings from the congregation, a pay roll for
Throughout high school, students yearn to graduate and start school at the college of their choice. The students want to make it past high school and to college, but once they look at the expansive options available the daunting feeling of indecision becomes present. One of the decisions that offers many different options during college is where the students live; dorms, on campus apartments, off campus apartments, and living at home are the four main options. Each option contains both positive and negative factors, which can make it hard to decide. Every student is different and must consider what is important to them when they are choosing where they want to live during college. To decide, each student might want to look at key factors that
