As many scientists over the years have been observing, the universe is continuously expanding. The galaxy's velocity is proportional to its distance. Also, that galaxies that are 3 times as far from us move 3 times as fast too! Going back to the expansion part, the universe is just not expanding in one direction, but in every direction there exists! This observation proves that it has taken the equivalent amount of time to move from a common starting position to its current position And since the universe has been continuously expanding there are more and more clusters of galaxies, this. The phenomenon of the galaxies, which are moving farther away from each other, is commonly known as the Red Shift. As light from the distant galaxies come on earth there is a significant increase of space between earth and the galaxy, which leads to wavelengths being stretched.
In addition to understanding the velocity of galaxies emanating from a single point, there is further evidence of the big bang. Somewhere in the 1900s, two astronomers seemed to detect microwaves from outer space and surprisingly discovered an odd noise. This unique type of voice was not just from one location, but it came from all directions at once. At first, it was believed that they were extraterrestrial noises but after a few years of research Later it was found out that those

These common particles are commonly known as baryons and they consist of photons, neutrinos, electrons, and quarks would become the base of matter and human life as we know it. During the baryon genesis period, there existed no heavy particles such as protons or even neutrons since the intense heat was at work which caused no heavy but light particles to form. At that time, there was only a large, so-called infinite quark soup and gradually, the universe began to expand, scientists have begun to more understand what exactly happened in those
Everything makes sense, but how to prove such a beginning? In the 1960s, scientists realized that such a hot and violent beginning must have left a vast wave of heat that can still be traced in small amounts. Not long after this realization, two Bell scientists announced that they had discovered this heat wave, called the cosmic background radiation. They both received the Nobel Prize in 1978 for their findings. These first findings, however, had a few hitches. The cosmic background radiation was found to be fairly smooth and even. It was hard for scientists to figure out how stars and galaxies grouped together with such an even distribution. Once again, with the advance of technology and the challenge of a good problem, scientists went to work. During a press conference in 1992, George Smoot and a few other colleagues announced that they had found these temperature ripples in the cosmic background radiation. So there you have it! The origin of
The light from distant stars moving rapidly away from us is shifted toward the red end of the spectrum.
I am here to explain an ultrasound, so that way you are not nervous. First, there are different types of sound waves, and how they travel. There are transverse, longitudinal, and surface waves. The transverse waves are a mechanical wave which means that the wave travels like an S- wave sideways. Longitudinal waves travel parallel to the direction the wave travels. When the longitudinal wave travels it compresses through the particles in the medium that it passes through. Longitudinal waves are like contractions because they can compress together really high, and or low which could make the pain hurt more, or hurt very little. Surface waves move in circular motions around the medium. In an ultrasound you can see your baby move around in your
In the book The Wave by Walter Mosley the crank caller that haunts Errol Porter nightly sounds a lot like his deceased father who died a long time ago when he was small. Enough so that one day Errol goes to the cemetery one night in response to the to the one called the "Caller". He finds a man that does indeed resemble his father, except this man is much younger. All of the stories the the caller has told Errol Porter has match to the ones of his Father, but how can Errol’s father rise from the dead and turn back the clock?
Red-shifted light happens when other electromagnetic radiation in an object increases in wavelength. The light from different galaxies is red-shifted, this tells us that the galaxies are moving away from us and the further
2009 Mami Zoe Taylor and her brother Zack Taylor are in Miami and they are just having lunch. Zoe is a nice and kind girl. She has brown curly hair sometime in braids and she is 16. Zack is one of the nicest brother, I met. He loves to play video games a lot , he is only 11. When they finished lunch, they heard a noise like someone was banging on a wall or something like that. Store when they got up and payed the bill and went to the boom store. The boom store is a smooth jazz place with a rock and roll section, it has many musical instruments that Zoe and Zack like. Zoe loves to play the violin so she tries the violin and she likes it. So they went back home and ask her mom and dad if she and get the violin and they said “yes you can Zoe.” Her mom said and when she Said yes they heard that rumbling noise again. But it was the food in the oven.
Whether or not you realize it, there is energy all around us. This energy changes and influences the way the world works. When someone tells you to think of energy, the first thing that likely comes to mind is electricity or heat, as that is what we commonly see and hear about. If you are asked to think of a powerful kind of energy, you may think of radiation or fire, as they can kill people and destroy forests. Although these may be the most obvious kinds of energy, there is another kind of energy that can be both more helpful and more dangerous; shock waves. These waves surround us, yet we have only just began to explore their many uses. Shock waves can be used by animals and humans for both utility and offense.
Q- waves are a sign of previous myocardial infarction. The Q wave is defined as the first downward deflection after the P wave. It may be present and it can be absent in a normal ECG. The Q wave represents the depolarization of the interventricular septum. Never to be considered abnormal if it is missing from any particular lead.The QRS complex is a name for the combination of three of the graphical deflections seen on a typical electrocardiogram.
The universe is approximately 13.77 billion years old (1). There are two methods which researchers use to determine the age of the universe: observing the oldest stars; and using the Hubble’s constant (1). Observing the star does not mean going outside and looking up in the sky. Using a telescope, researchers can look beyond the human eyes to see a more desirable view of reality in space. Thus, researchers can gather information and determine where the global cluster of stars is located in the universe. Why does it have to be in a cluster? Stars that stay closer to each other indicate that they were formed at the same time (1). The star’s brightness and mass help determine its age (1). A star burns hydrogen as fuel to preserve its brightness;
The only difference is that instead of sound waves, it is light waves that are moving away. In 1912 when Vesto Slipher discovered that all objects in the sky were moving away from Earth. (Cain). Back in 1912, it it was thought that these objects were in the Milky Way, over a century later, humanity knows that these objects are galaxies and they are thousands/millions of light years away. Twelve years later in 1924, Edwin Hubble discovered that these stars were actually outside the galaxy.
Hubble law can be interpreted as universe is expanding in all direction with a constant speed. Furthermore, Hubble’s law also contains an equation which is “linear relation between velocity and distance, written as v = Hd in modern notation” (Osterbrock). This equation can relates to the Law of Red Shifts, which is the relation between velocity and distance, as velocity increases distance also increases. Researcher also know “cosmological principle … very simple postulate that, on the grand scale, the universe will appear much the same from whatever position it may be explored … there is no favor position in the universe, no center, no boundaries” (Hubble). Cosmological principle can be interpreted as that no matter where the observer is located, they will see than same universe expansion as the observer on earth. Hubble has collected few data on the velocity of the nebulae, “the nebulae are found to be drifting about in space at average speeds of the order of 150 miles per second. Such speeds, of course, are minute fractions of the velocity of light” (Hubble). This data shows how fast nebulae are traveling in the universe in all direction. Furthermore, recent research have discovered something called the dark energy, and the result of the discovery has shown that dark energy has an effect on
We can then determine how far away the galaxy is by observing the brightness of the stars. If a galaxy is too far away for us to distinguish individual stars, astronomers can use SuperNovas. We know from experience how much light output a SuperNovae emits, so we can determine how far away the galaxies are. Supernovae’s can be used to measure the distance to galaxies as far as 10 billion light years away.
The Ocean forms a big part of our planet. The Ocean covers the 71 percent of our planet, just like that. There is something called “Ocean Currents”. The Ocean Currents is a continuous, directed movement of seawater. The Ocean Currents are there like it is in the ocean.
The grand forces of the universe create magnificent galaxies according to “Your Guide to Galaxies” by ABC Science Online. Galaxies are giant clouds of stars, glowing with the power of many suns as they split the lonely darkness of the surrounding void. The forces keeping these awesome structures together uniquely affect the surrounding space as it creates many interesting events like “galactic cannibalism”, which is when smaller galaxies get sucked into bigger ones. Galaxies are classified into elliptical galaxies, spiral galaxies, lenticular galaxies, and irregular galaxies; each have their own sub-groups. We might as well enjoy the beauty and complexity the universe has to show us, spinning through a great cloud of stars and gas.
in 1929 Edwin Hubble discovered this law based on a study of the light received from the far away galaxies. He observed that the colours, emitted by the stars in the galaxies do not have exactly the same wavelengths observed in the laboratory, rather they are shifted to longer wavelengths, toward the red end of the spectrum. Evidence to support this theory is the fact that the universe is expanding, proven with something called red shift. Also something called cosmic microwave background radiation. And lastly the abundance of different elements in the universe. The instruments used in helping to prove this theory were spectroscopes and telescopes. Red shift helps to support the big bang theory because it states that The other galaxies are moving away from
