After going to this performance there were a few moments that stood out to me as powerful. They did not necessarily move me at all since I did not particularly agree with this performance but I can see how they would be powerful to those who do agree with this lifestyle. The moment was when he first came out and started telling the story of the homeland security and how he had been there many times and this time he was there for a good reason and walked in instead of getting dragged in. I’m sure this was very powerful to those who agree with this lifestyle.
This performance was a very basic performance with not many elements or a plot in my opinion. The main and only performer was Tim Miller. Tim Miller was the only performer and thus

Most of the audience laughed at this moment while my reaction was quite the opposite. I did not find this moment funny at all, I actually found it quite disappointing. I did not have a physical reaction but I did have an emotional one. I was disappointed in the audience and the performer in this moment of the performance. This moment appealed to me because it showed me the culture he was trying to promote. What I interpreted in this moment was a performer who did not appreciative living in this country, although he still chooses to live in this country. This performer spent much of the time complaining about this country and how everything was wrong, yet he still lives in the country and this just doesn’t make sense to me. He was trying to promote this view to the audience and to my disappointment, much of the audience laughed. If this type of culture of not respecting the authority of this land and appreciating the things we do have in this land is going to continue to be promoted, this country is going to be in trouble in the near future. That is why this moment provided me with much

Introduction: Throughout the book of Into The Wild Chris McCandless is known to be a wacko reckless idiot, and is also known to be courageous and heroic. However does a courageous person go out into the wilderness knowing that the outcome will be fatal? People viewed him from different perspectives and also have broad range of opinions of this young man. Some deemed him to be incredibly dim-witted or a man that simply just followed his heart. Evidence shows that Chris McCandless is actually a mix of both. The first opinion that described McCandless was brainless, idiotic, and extremely foolish. Many passages from Into The Wild can support this outlook.
This film focuses on being a confident and decisive person in life, through passionate and informed topics. Public speaking is the process of speaking to a group of people in a structured, deliberate manner intended to inform, influence, or entertain the listeners.¹ After watching this film it does strike a cord of wanting to be able to reach out to others and share my own opinions in a strong, confident manner. To inspire others on something I may be passionate about in life, to share a different aspect of life that others have not lived. I can't say exactly how much this film has impacted my views on public speaking although the film itself
“JAZZ” is a documentary by Ken Burns released 2001 that focuses on the creation and development of jazz, America’s “greatest cultural achievement.” The first episodes entitled, “Gumbo, Beginnings to 1917” and “The Gift (1917-1924), explain the early growth of jazz as it originates in New Orleans and its expands to Chicago and New York during the Jazz Age. In assessing the first two episodes of Ken Burns' 2001 documentary, "JAZZ," this essay will explore the history of jazz, the music's racial implications, and it's impact on society. In doing so, attention will also be given to the structure of the documentary, and the effectiveness of documentary film in retelling the past.
Despite his understanding that he would spend the rest of his sentence in Sheridan, Chris Williams was moved to SeaTac Federal Prison in Washington. This is a higher security prison than the satellite camp. A man who’s only crime was growing a few plants, is now spending his days with violent criminals such as murderers and sex offenders. Many of his belongings were not allowed in SeaTac resulting in things getting shipped back home or thrown away. The process of being transferred between prisons is degrading on many levels.
Jeff Emig is an American former professional motocross racer with 4 major titles for Yamaha and Kawasaki. He was one of the very best in the motocross history and a top AMA Motocross and Supercross riders of the 1990s. Emig is the six-time member of the U.S. Motocross des National team. He is known for his rivalry with fellow rider Jeremy McGrath in the 1990s when they were two of the best in the sport.
The third act was lovely Eli Womble. He is not only a music major, but also on the soccer team. He was not alone and with him on stage were his very good friends. Firstly, he gave a shout out to his mother and girlfriend who sat on the front row. They played two songs clearly Womble had the most fans in the audience. There were a lot of soccer players in the audience who sung along with his song and clearly enjoyed their teammate talents. His teammate, Catawba soccer defense player Jared Bieber said, “He just gets better and better every time I hear him play, he is going to be a superstar.”
But the way he told the story really helped the audience to connect to their own situation. He went into very deep details that the story came to life, and it feels like something that is happening every day in our life. And if “we”, the audience, have their own American dreams, if they are willing to work hard for it, their dreams would come true.
In Tim Miller's "Rooted" the only performer was Tim Miller himself. The performance was centered on his struggles as a gay man as well as his husband's struggles on trying to immigrate here legally from Australia, so they could live together as a family. This performance was very interesting in the way that it felt. I didn’t particularly love this performance in terms of what he said, I am not a gay man and I have never had to immigrate to another country, but I loved the way he interacted with the audience. He occasionally moved around the stage, but for the most part he stayed around the front in one area. Tim Miller made it feel like a very intimate setting. He made me feel like he was an old friend telling me of his adventures in trying to get the Department of Homeland Security to recognize his husband’s need for a green card, so they can be together instead of on different sides of the globe.
In developing my report there were a few limitations. One is that there was no other suspect. Second is that the evidence is limited. Third is that everyone close to Timmons is adamant that he did not commit the crimes. I would have liked to have been able to review other possible suspects and the evidence against those individuals.
Reed wants people to know that, despite his craziness, he truly cares for his students and their futures.
There was no theme to the music that was played. The concert involved different genres of jazz, including Latin, contemporary, big band, and Dixieland. I felt that there was a good mix of songs and it did not affect the concert since there was no theme.
I also think the choreography with the singing was very well planed out because it made sense and helped tell the story very well it also helped keep the audience intrigued. I Think the environment of the theater was good because I didn't not notice any phones in use also everyone was quiet and respectful. The only issue was the play is was very long and they waited to long for a intermission and the room is full of very small children, so they started to get a little antsy and that was a little
As a leader in their industry, regarding environmentally conscious manufacturers, Herman-Miller felt they could be even more proactive by following in the footsteps of a few of the most successful manufacturers in the world, such as Nike, by adopting the Cradle-to-Cradle (C2C) sustainable practice strategy. Herman-Miller’s Mirra Chair project, to manufacture the first highly engineered Cradle-to-Cradle (C2C) compliant product, has the potential to elevate their reputation as Green manufacture leaders, but the project would not come without it’s costs. The focus of the Mirra Chair project lies primarily in the decision to use PVC in the armrests of the chair or to replace the PVC with TPU, an environmentally friendlier
Sooner or later all companies will be pushed to make their products and processes more sustainable. By realizing such trends today, Herman Miller makes its investments right now in order to secure high pay offs in future.
