Fortunately for me, while I was training in Hypnotherapy and NLP I met a lady called Tricia Courtney-Dickens who introduced me to Reiki. Her enthusiasm for this ancient art of healing was infectious. I decided to enrol in her next Reiki course to study the first degree. That weekend workshop changed my perceptions of holis- tic healing. Reiki put me in touch with my natural abilities to heal myself and oth- ers; I was truly amazed by Reiki’s subtle yet profound power.
In When We Fight, We Win by Greg Jobin-Leeds it says that “comparison can block compassion both for others and for ourselves.” I agree with such statement; I think that listening is a skill you learn throughout time. One can pretend to listen without really getting anything out of the conversation that one is having with that other person. In the Compassionate Listening workshop, I got to do it with Rachel Kurland and I sit and listened to her talking about the moment her friend treason her. I tried to understand her plight, why would she not cut that friendship off, I understood she loved her friend, however, I could not resist bringing my biases to our conversation. I asked myself, why is Rachel, such a good, loving, and smart person,

Reflection is a major factor in "developing self-awareness" to improve services provided to everyone around me, this is to develop my own understanding in realising the good and bad made previously. Moving forward with a better understanding, as well as rectifying the mistake whilst recognizing the good points, (Horton-Deutsch and Sherwood, 2008).
riting 101 was the second college course I have taken. Before I started taking college classes, I had not attended any type of academic classes sine I graduated high school in 2012. Going into this course, I thought I was not going to benefit very much from it but I was wrong. I had forgotten the majority of what I learned in high school. This writing course not only helped me to refresh my writing skills, but also taught me new things that I know will be helpful as I continue my education. When I realized I had to take this class I thought it would be easy for me. I soon realized that even though I had taken advanced classes in high school, in many ways I was not prepared for college level writing.
Mind, body and spirit therapies aren't just the latest health craze; a matter of fact there are several healing arts schools and even conventional colleges that have begun offering integrative medicine programs to keep up with the demand for natural and holistic healthcare.
This semester I learned a lot about writing in English 151. It has been a roller coaster ride with these essays for me this semester. I learned step by step how to write a good essay and how to have your readers be engaged in what you’re trying to tell them. Each essay I did has taught me something valuable I can take to the next level of English. I feel as if as the semester went by I did not take my writing that seriously and that reflected in my grades I received in each essay. It made me a better student and writer and it will reflect next semester. In this essay, I will reflect on what I learned throughout this semester that you should apply in your writing when you begin English 151.

Biofield therapies have a good safety record; for example, reiki has been found to have no adverse effects in most of the studies. There are no reports of morbidity or mortality due to biofield therapies. With resources generally scarce in end-of-life care, interventions that are cost-effective, safe, and easy to implement are necessary. Reiki is noninvasive, can be readily learned, requires no treatment, and can be delivered in any setting. Both health care providers and caregivers can be taught reiki (Henneghan & Schnyer, 2015, p. 97). Reiki has been cited as being easy to learn, inexpensive, noninvasive, and associated with pain reduction and relaxation (Henneghan & Schnyer, 2015, p.
Reiki is an ancient healing art that has recently been re-discovered in Japan. With the resurrection of Reiki in this age of mass and almost instantaneous communication, word of its power is quickly gaining the attention of the mainstream world. The mode of transmission of Reiki energy from a Reiki practitioner to a recipient was originally believed, by those interested in this art, to be limited by physical proximity. The Reiki practitioner would place their hands gently on, or a few inches above the Reiki recipient's body. Upon further exploration of the potential of Reiki, "sending" the energy to the recipient or situation has proven to be just as beneficial as Reiki "hands-on" sessions. In fact, those who are too busy to carve out the time for a Reiki session can now go about their business while receiving the energy. Reiki Masters, such as myself, have directed Reiki energy to boardrooms, pets, surgical procedures, courtrooms, business offices, plants and even sporting events. Reiki distance energy

I was first introduced to the holistic model of healing soon after I graduated from high school. I worked as an office manager of a holistic health clinic in Oregon. This clinic, provided nutritional counseling, massage, chiropractic care, and a therapist. It also referred clients to a nearby trainer, to develop an appropriate exercise program. The clinic’s model is that we are all responsible for our own health and that there is no pill that I could take to give me good

Reflexology is an ancient method of healing that originated in Egypt and the Orient. More than four thousand years ago, man discovered this treatment for imbalance, and recorded their discovery in drawings on cave walls. It is suggested that reflexology evolved from acupuncture and acupressure. Reflexology flourished in the United Kingdom in the nineteenth
