The claim of this essay is about the complicated relationship between Elia Kazan and Arthur Miller If someone was asked to give information about the Red Scare they had to be truthful in the court. Arthur Miller wrote The Crucible, and Elia Kazan was a film director. Kazan made a film "On the Waterfront" he wanted to combine the two recent films together. It was a story about a man and his friend, Kazan wanted to take part in his own play as the leading role. It was one of the top rated film of its time after watching it people could have changed their whole aspect of how they looked at the film. Arthur Miller was born on October 17, 1915 in New York City. Arthur wrote several screenplays and was noted for his work on The Misfits. Elia Kazan was born in Turkey on September 7, 1909 him and his parents later moved to the United States.
In this moment no one was close to film director Kazan, he has filmed/produced 2 of Arthur’s plays. Miller came with the idea to write the play about The Crucible and he wanted Elia to help him on it. (columbia.edu)
When Miller and Kazan started working on the film, they got really close. They even shared Marilyn Monroe. They worked together on other plays as in “The Hook” and “After the Fall.” The Red Scars started to repeat history again. Arthur Miller fell in love with Marilyn. Monroe was actually the one to thank for the two’s infamous decisions . All three of them were at a party when Marilyn forced the two men to shake hands. After they got over their differences they were once again inseparable. They could have continued working together in the future, but it would have been hard for them to do so because they kept getting bashed for everything they did.
