Ask anyone what friendship is and you’re sure to get different answers. Some may claim that the quality of any friendship depends on how long you have known each other; others may advocate that it has something to do with what the other person has done for them in the years that they have known each other. If you had asked me a few years ago what I thought friendship meant, I probably would have given you a definition similar to the ones that I mentioned. However, I have come to realize that friendship is about much more than general statements and ambiguous implications. It is about something deep, something rooted within everyone. My newfound definition of Friendship only came about a few days ago, as a result of something that happened to my best friend. Her grandfather had a heart attack and she texted the news in a group chat that consists of our four closest friends. Almost immediately, everyone responded with texts to console my friend. Messages like, “I’m so sorry,” and, “I hope he’s okay,” flooded my inbox. I asked her separately if she wanted to call me and talk about what had happened, but she said that she was okay for now. Still, I told her to call me if she needed anything. Knowing that she was all right, I began thinking about what had just happened. Something changed my friend’s world and everyone leaped on the opportunity to make her feel better and tried to offer her words of sympathy. This eventually led me to think about when the six of us
Helen Keller once stated that “Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light.” Friendship can be defined in many different ways. For example a four year old might say that a friend is the other boy that gave him a cookie. While an adult says someone to talk and relate to when they need it. They are also formed in a plethora of ways. For instance, the two four year olds could grow up staying friends, or you meet some random person in the supermarket and start talking, or even through another friend. Friends are part of what makes life fun, being able to enjoy the joyous times with another person, and lean on them in the challenging times.
2. Friendship is many things to many people. Friendship is when friends have each other's back. It's also, when friends are honest, loyal, loving, and caring
feeling. Friends, on the other hand, are defined as people whom one knows well and is fond of.
A Friendship is made up by caring for someone special to you, It’s looking out for them, hanging out with them, and trusting them.
In “Friendship in an Age of Economics” by Todd May, friendship is defined as different types of relationships. Todd May starts the article off with a story of him being in the hospital. A friend of his had come by and sat with him for some time. May then goes into the different types of relationships and friendships. He finishes off the article with this quote, “To be able to sit by the bed of another, watching him sleep, waiting for nothing else, is to understand where else we might be”. This quote is very meaningful because it reflects on one of the true meanings of friendship. You should be able to be with that person regardless of the situation, you should always be there for your friend, and supporting
Friendship is relationship of mutual affection between people. Friendship is relationship has been studied in academic fields such as communication , sociology and social. This message gave me a eye opener to everything and always have their back through everything.
What is friendship to you? Friendship is always doing whats right for your friend even though it might hurt. In of Mice & Men there is alot examples of what true friendship is. the theme John Steinbeck was trying to play out in of Mice & Men is that true friends do whats right.
Friendship, in my personal opinion, is a connection made with someone who will understand, forgive, and make memories, the good and the bad. Having the experience and joy of a genuine friendship is something every person needs to have in their lives. In Of Mice and Men, John Steinbeck interprets friendship
Friendship is having a conversation with someone and nobody speaks a word, but each person understands one another perfectly fine. Friendship is countless hangouts and sleepovers. Friendship is putting someone else before yourself. Friendship is listening to the other person because they know you as well as you know yourself. Friendship is giving up the last drop of ketchup and not even being upset about it.
Friendship is a loving relationship between a human and another human or animal. They are based on mutual honest respect in between two or more individuals. Human friendships are the most common and they are considered as one of the most valuable things in life. If you try to live your life without any friends or not talking to anybody, you will go crazy, and you will never experience what a wonderful feeling it is to have someone beside you that you can trust with anything, have fun with, and know that this person is special for you. In a friendship you are comfortable with the other person and you want to spend time with them. Having a friend is always good because you have someone to rely on and you have companionship.
We have certain things we look for in a person. When we meet them, we have an instinct that tells us whether we will be able to get along with them or not. In the article the basic definition of friendship is defined as “the form of connection in terms of which all others are understood, against which they are all measured, into which they have all dissolved.” I agree with this definition because friendships are connections we form with other people. This is the basic definition of a friendship. As we grow up and become mature we decide what we look for in a person to call them our friends. Friends can be like a second family. A family we choose. In my opinion the first thing we pay attention to in a person when we meet them is their personality. The friends we are closer to we tend to know more about and we consider them our second family. Additionally, the definition of a friendship was taken more as a precious and sacred thing. Deresiewicz states in his article “In medieval society, friendship entailed specific expectation and obligations, often formalized in oaths.” Friendships were oaths in medieval society. Today friendships are not seen as oaths. We tend to just have our friends, and we can “unfriend” them if they do something we don’t like. We still look for truth in friendships, but in the past friendship had to be worked for. The way friendship is viewed has changed over
Friendship: a close association between two people marked by feelings of care, respect, admiration, concern, love, or like. Friends are there to support us and can provide an unfiltered view of our actions when we ask them. They heal us through difficult times and share our joy during fun adventures. Being social is vitally important to our mental health, so we don’t end up in a depressed state. Many people assume they have “friends”, but a true friendship are those who take into consideration the obligations and responsibilities of one seriously. In an interview with Katie Couric and Irene Levine, most friendships don’t make it past seven years, which means that those that pass that are holding on to a true friendship. Having

One of the most marvelous types of relationships that anyone can have is Friendship. Friendship is not simply a "relationship", knowing someone, conversing with that person, or dealing with that person in business, school, or in casual acquaintance.
