1. Narrator- Later that evening
2. Friend- There’s seem to be something irking you, what’s going on?
3. Green Lightning- I feel conflicted. On one hand I want to be a good citizen and follow Chief Robert’s instructions to stop Devil Flame’s plan, but I don’t want to harm Maxwell since he is innocent in all of this.
4. Friend- That is quite a conundrum. Chief Robert is a good person and I know that his intentions are good, but I think harming Maxwell is a poor choice. He is innocent in all of this, and harming him won’t do any good for him or his sick brother that he has to take care of.
5. Green Lightning- Right, Maxwell was put into an unlucky situation where he has no choice. I just can’t harm someone willy nilly; especially if that person isn’t a villain.
6. Friend- I agree, it is not Maxwell fault that the Devil Flame is forcing him to do these crimes. So if I was you, I would call Chief Roberts and tell him that I couldn’t go through with his plan, and that we will find another way to stop the Devil Flame another time.
7. Green Lightning- I think you are right, I will go do that. I cannot

I am the Assistant Deputy In Charge of the high threat capital murder case of U.S. vs. Ricky Fackrell and Christopher Cramer currently underway in Beaumont, TX. Both defendants are federal inmates and members of the violent prison gang Soldiers of Aryan Culture. These defendants are accused of stabbing another inmate at least 68 times, inflicting mortal wounds to the victim. During the course of this trial, both inmates have made spontaneous outbursts during the trial and veiled threats towards prosecutors and prosecution witnesses. These defendants are considered extremely violent, as defendant Fackrell has an additional murder charge pending, where he is accused of stomping the head of another inmate, causing that inmate to enter a vegetative
Any man can withstand adversity; if you want to test his character, give him power.
"A hero ventures forth from the world of common day into a region of supernatural wonder: fabulous forces are there encountered and a decisive victory is won: the hero comes back from this mysterious adventure with the power to bestow boons on his fellow men."
On Saturday, September 12, 2015, I was assigned to the 6 Northwest as the security officer. At approximately 0500 hours while breakfast trays were being distributed in pod 100, an inmate, later identified as Kimmie Hawkins became insolent and advised me to get out of the pod. I immediately asked him whom he was talking to and simultaneously walked over to him to view his armband. As I reached for Inmate Hawkins’s left wrist, he snatched away from me, got in a boxing stance, and began bouncing rhythmically on his toes. Therefore, I retrieved my T.A.S.E.R. from its holster and gave Inmate Hawkins loud verbal commands to get on the floor. However, he refused to follow my orders; therefore, I pushed him toward the wall and continued to instruct
As many people know, sports are dangerous. However, most coaches and spectators say things like, “tough it out” or “no pain no gain” to these players. But if a player plays with
Once upon a time,in a land far away, there was a man, but not just any ordinary man,no,he had super powers. Ones that only appear in the fairytale dreams of the young and were once told by the ones who wished to be more than just mortal. He was a hero. He'd fly across the world with his long cape and save his citizens. He was the greatest role model the world had ever seen. Some would say he's the most handsome man they'd ever seen.Um, no.
In everyone’s life, we experience fear. It is an emotion which seizes everyone’s attention and actions. It can cause a person to perform something they never imagined doing. Yet, after constant submission to the same feeling of fear, one becomes desensitized to it. The same chemical reactions in someone's head which caused their heart to race and mind to blank no longer has those same effects. It leads a person to wonder how they can survive past this dreadful feeling. Yet, there are people who stand in the face of fear and experience these feelings so no one else has to, heros. One of the main traits of a hero is standing resilient in the face of fear and the adversity which accompanies it.
In an act of selfishness, Sheriff Tom Tate attacked the first lead presented to him, Walter McMillan, who had been demonized in the community for having an inter-racial affair. Tate disregarded irrefutable evidence of McMillan’s innocence and proceeded to fabricate evidence to
As it is said by Homer author of The Odyssey.” A small rock, can hold back a big wave”. When someone with powers or no powers faces a problem bigger than them, there will always be this fear in the back of your head, this little piece of worry inside of you . Your have the choice to stand up and fight or turn your back and run. Heros will always look at the problem and face it head on. Standing up to something big when the odds are against you is what can make a
These three incidents of sports illustrates that injuries can be unpleasant in any sports given and athletes have great amount of risks while they continue their game in the field, in order to amuse their viewers (Bird 91). Apart from the examples mentioned above, there are several small and large accidents that have occurred in the past and they have made the life of sportsmen bitter and even their future uncertain, with respect to their ability to work.
In times of peril, a hero rises to protect those who cannot protect themselves. Movies tell us heroes are from a different world, wear a suit of armor/cape, or wield superhuman abilities; however, real-life heroes do not fit that mold. In reality, heroes, come in many forms and need little more than courage and boldness to do what is right when no one else will.
Heroes are prevalent in everyone’s life. Whether someone’s hero is a living person or a fabled character from a movie, everybody has come into contact with some sort of hero. In fact, the concept of heroes has existed for hundreds of years, dating all the way back to Ancient Greece. Over time, heroes have drastically changed. As society has evolved, our heroes have evolved with it. Their goals and motivations have changed to coincide with the views of modern society. Modern day heroes have less selfish motives, better qualities, and are portrayed differently than ancient heroes.
Has there ever been a point in your life that you wished you could be a superhero or superhuman? Most, if not all, people’s answer to that question would be a resounding “yes,” including mine. Over the years, more TV shows and movies have begun to incorporate what we would consider to be our “heroes” into them. These shows, or movies, consist of a hero, or heroes, that are typically aided by friends and a team that help them fight evil; two examples of this are Arrow and The Flash. Hero shows, or movies, can be a quite broad category, but it can be broken into smaller categories like superhuman heroes, mortal heroes, dark heroes, or otherworldly heroes. The Flash is a superhuman hero while Green Arrow is a mortal, but dark hero. The two
