I am typing this paper over Michelangelo, one of the most famous artist ever! He had one of the greatest paintings called The Sixteen Chapels. I am going to tell you about the life he went through. Michelangelo was born on March 6, 1475 in Caprease, Italy. His father is Leonardo Di Buonarrota Simoni.

The Renaissance was a period in history following the Middle Ages in which a “rebirth” occurred. This rebirth refers to the increase of interest and emphasis on culture and learning that characterised this era. Art, music, philosophy and other aspects of European culture were embraced and strived in this period, which was unlike the Middle Ages that had just come to an end. This created a clear contrast between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance period. It started as a cultural movement in Italy and then spread to the rest of Europe rather quickly, due to the creation of the printing press. Raffaello Sanzio, known as Raphael, was an Italian painter and architect born in the mountain town of Urbino. In his early years, Raphael was trained by his father Giovanni Santi, a court painter and versifier, allowing him to gain a wide education in the arts, literature, and social skills. This enabled Raphael to move easily amongst the higher circles of court society and this helped him gain recognition. “His career falls naturally into three phases and three styles, first described by Giorgio Vasari: his early years in Umbria, then a period of about four years (from 1504-1508) absorbing the artistic traditions of Florence, followed by his last hectic and triumphant twelve years in Rome, working for two Popes and their close associates.” (Raphael Biography)

The Renaissance was a rebirth of the ideas of ancient Greece and Rome that began in the City States of Italy during the 14th century. The cultural resurgence began a new style of living in Europe after the horrors of the black death, and is seen as the beginning of the culture of the modern world. As Wassace K. Ferguson put in his book The Renaissance, the Italian artists grew tired of the darkness of Medieval Times and began to turn to the brighter times found in the classical ages (Doc 7). The Renaissance served as the evolutionary bridge between the Middle Ages and the 17th century through art, education, and religion by bringing a rebirth of the ancient Greek and Roman classics that would later define the world’s culture, while continuing the underlying beliefs of Medieval Times.

Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni, known as Michelangelo, was born in March 6, 1475, Caprese Michelangelo, Italy. His father`s name was Leonardo di Buonarroti Simoni and his mother`s name was Francesca Neri. Together they had five children, one of the son was Michelangelo and they returned to Florence when he was just an infant. Michelangelo lived almost all his life in Rome, where he died in 1564, with 88 years old.This important figure was an italian sculptor, painter, architect, poet, and engineer of the High Renaissance. Since his mother got sick, he was placed with a family of stonecutters. He was more interested about watching the painters nearby the church, and drawing what he saw there than with the school. The influences of any era is evident through artwork and architecture. During the Middle Ages the main influence was the church, this is evident through the focus on biblical and religious symbols. During the Renaissance the main focus was the study of people. This is shown through the increase in self portraits and classical antiquity-inspired buildings. The change between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance is best shown through the art and architecture, demonstrated specifically through an emphasis on religion and classical antiquity, both suggesting a clear cultural change. The culture of both of these eras was greatly shaped by the studies of humanism and theology.

Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni was a famous painter, sculptor, architect and poet. He was nicknamed Father and Master of All Arts because he was skilled in all areas of art. Born March 6, 1475, in Caprese Italy, Michelangelo’s parents were Leonardo di Buonarrota Simoni and Francecsa Neri. He was raised in a family whose finical outcome and career choice was banking. He was the second of five sons but as an infant was given to another family since his mother was too ill to nurse him. The woman who nursed him came from a stonecutter family, he later admitted, “With my wet nurse’s milk, I sucked in the hammer and chisels I use for my statues.”

He’s family mean of living was due to a banking business. Michelangelo didn’t show interest in the family’s business or school in general. What makes Michelangelo special, is that he was the first artist to be recognized during his life, not post death, including his biography was published when he was still living. Michelangelo created art work with blends of, psychology, physical realism and passion which was a breath of fresh art. This help him be commissioned by some of the wealthiest of men during the Renaissance.

The boy born on April 26, 1483 in Urbino Italy became a Renaissance sensation through his “Madonnas,” and other oil paintings. In 1514, Pope Julius II gave Raphael the opportunity to be his chief architect, and later on in life created the great painting we know today as the Sistine Madonna. Raphael was an extremely influential man of the era through his early life, architecture and paintings.

Michelangelo Buonarroti was born on Mar 6, 1475, in a small village of Caprese. He grew up in Florence, a center of the early Rebirth movement . His dad sent him to school with hopes that he would become a great educated somebody . But Michelangelo was more fascinated with nontextual matter . His menage members were unhappy that he wanted to be an artist. However, in 1488 they finally agreed to let him subject art. At the age of 13 , he became an artist\'s inexperienced proletarian to Ghirlandaio, where he learned the art of adhesive plaster picture painting. Even though Michelangelo was 13, he was highly skilled.
