Have you ever been fishing? I have! Fishing is one of my favorite things to do at this stage in my life. I have only recently got into fishing. I’m going to talk about how, why, and when I started this hobby. Also if you’re interested in trying fishing I’ll tell you what you can do to give it a try for yourself. Just like everything it has its ups and downs, but I hope this at least gets you interested in fishing like it did for me. You can never go wrong trying something new and seeing if you like it. I haven’t always been interested in fishing. When I was younger, I never enjoyed fishing because it requires lots of patience’s, which being the young, immature kid I was I didn’t have any. As I got older I tried it more and more and started to fall in love with it, at first I didn’t take it seriously but started to practice and get better. I found myself fishing almost every day because there was no feeling that could compare to a fish jumping on my line. I decided I wanted to try and compete with it. Anyone that knows me knows that if I want something I will go for it, so that’s what I did. I went to …show more content…
Just like everything it has its ups and downs. I decided to participate in a local tournament and I was fishing with one of my coaches from my high school team. We took off early in the morning and pulled up to our first fishing hole, the lake was like glass, and I could see my reflection in the water. About five minutes into fishing my partner yells “FISH ON” and that was my sign to grab the net to make sure we got the fish in the boat. I set my pole down on the back of the boat and grabbed the net. I sprinted to the front of the boat an as soon as I netted his fish, I turn around and see my three hundred dollar pole shoot off the back of the boat in about 70 feet of Ozark lake water. Of course I was upset but I knew everything didn’t always go well. The bright side was we caught a fish that would help us in the
Fishing to some people may just be fishing. But fishing to the people who have read A River Runs through It some time in their life, is a gift. Whether fishermen use bait, worms, or George's flies it is that much sweeter to catch some trout with a brother under one arm and a father on the other.
This is my essay on why I love fishing. I love to fish because of many things including the rush you get when fish a is on the other end of your line and many other things I will include in this essay. FIshing is used all over the word some do it to survive and some fish for the thrill of it and some for competition. Fishing has many factors from the bait and tackle you use to the temperature and conditions that day. When you go fishing you could be fishing for fish all the way from small perch, sunfish, or rock bass all the way up to the enormous muskie or catfish. The main place I like to fish is the river because it is bigger and more open and don't have to worry about getting stuck as much. I also like fishing in the river because there
In recent years his interest has turned toward deep sea fishing. While bay fishing is fun and relaxing, there is nothing like being off shore with no land in sight. The water is so crystal clear making it easy to view the sea life; such as sea turtles, whales, giant sunfish and porpoises. There is a lot of down time on the boat when everyone on board is carrying on and telling jokes and stories. But when that rod goes down and the reel starts screaming, it gets crazy. We have to make sure the hook is set and move other lines out of the way, which can get tricky if we have hooked more than one. You can feel the excitement. Reeling in a fish can take hours making my arms ache. There is nothing like watching a marlin dance and jump across the water or eating fresh tuna, sushi style, on the back of the
Going to the lake to fish is a great way to start your day. It is so peaceful out there, but some days it is not because of bass fishing has tournaments and it can be really stressful. Bass fishing is a popular sport, but some things can be controversial.
There are so many things to do in Austin that sometimes the simplest of pleasures are overlooked. However, if you want good, quality bass, there are several area lakes that can produce the results you desire. Here are just a few, along with suggestions on how and when to fish each one for best results.
Some people consider bass fishing a sport, but for most fishermen it’s a lifestyle. People have been bass fishing since the beginning of time for different reasons. Bass fishing has evolved over the years from using a sapling and some string to the high tech rod and reel technology, as well as sonar fish-finders. For modern day fisherman fishing is a lifestyle that may require a wealth of money depending on what kind of bass fishing someone wants to do. People will less wealth just fish from the bank, but for the luckier individuals that are able to own a boat, fishing is easier, and more fun. Since the beginning of time people have been using real worms for bait, but now with the advancement of technology you can use baits that have a

Ever since my passion began in the 7th grade, the amazing people I have come across, stories I have heard, and memories I have made fishing are innumerable. A few of the many guys I have met fishing have become valuable mentors to me, which of whom I have bonded with and become closer to. I have shared lots of experiences by spending time and traveling with these men, shaping me as a person. As humans, we learn so much from one another, and through fishing I have learned not only many old traditions and modern fishing methods, but life skills that I use in my day-to-day
Chris Cash has a huge passion for fishing. Catching fish is a great way to unwind from a busy schedule. When I come it fishing, let’s just say I am hooked like a large mouth bass is hooked to my line. Ever since I was a boy and my dad took me and my brother fishing, I could never get enough of it. Every time I would come home from school, I would ask my dad “when are we going fishing” and he would always say “boy there more than just fishing” but being a young boy fishing was the only thing I would want to do. The older I got, the worse I got about fishing, I would always want the new rod or gear that just came. I have been to fishing shows and watch fishing on the TV and I always wanted to be just like the man I show be able to catch the big trophy winners.
That can be a great adventure, much more so than just fishing your local lake or
Fishing is an activity I have enjoyed doing ever since I was a little kid. In fact, one of my first fishing voyages was with my grandpa when I was about eight years old. He was an avid fisherman who went fishing almost every day and knew everything there was to know about fishing. Grandpa got me hooked on fishing. After Grandpa died, my dad picked up where Grandpa left off. We had a pontoon, and Dad took my brothers and me fishing whenever we had the chance. To this day, I still love fishing just as much as I had on my first fishing trip with my grandpa. Many people enjoy hobbies that are relaxing and peaceful, and others prefer exhilarating activities that never have a dull moment. I enjoy fishing because it has some of both.
The early morning breeze and feeling of nature that surround when I’m out on the water fishing is something I’m passionate for, and makes me who I am. It’s as though life around me stops and my only focus is trying to catch a fish. It’s something I could do all day and often do, and something I love to do with my friends, family, and even on my own. Fishing has affected me as a person. It requires patience because there are times when you might have to wait hours before your first bite. Along with patience comes determination, which is important because there are thousands of different ways to catch a fish. On one day a certain technique might work but on a different day I’ll have to look through my repertoire and figure out what is working
In Conclusion when you go fishing out on a river or lake remember to bring the right fishing equipment. Stink bait works best on catfish if that's what you're going to catch. But if you're going for bass ten frog poppers or flys work best. Carp like shrimp dipped in tobacco if you're fishing for carp. Now that you know what to use and make sure you have the right gear have a nice time fishing the next time you
Those who are young with energy and risk takers, revel in a hearty chase. This so happens to occur in human nature, something unreachable seemingly captivate our attention, and in turn shadows us even more to grab at it. I know what we saw in each other in those numbered days. A sudden exhilaration for the opposite, with each passing day, we grew more intrigued by each other's mere presence and actions. Fishing was a trigger of our emotions, a connection surpassing physical attention, or mental attention. It was a unification of two souls borne from one
