AUSTRALIAN CAMELS Australia is known for their exotic animals, but one factor that has affected their beauty was the feral camels. The feral camels had caused much damage towards the native systems and land. Most natural resources, such as waterholes were ruined by them. Today, Australian camels make up the largest
Rat infestations have swarmed throughout the world, looking for food, and spreading diseases, so of course people attempt to get rid of them. First off, they spread disease. It states in Source 1, “Around 60% of the rodents carry Weil's disease...” This quote states that the majority of all rodents, have Weil’s disease. That means that if you see a rat, it is probably infected with disease. This is incredibly dangerous for people walking the street, or someone without a home. That person who does not have a home, could get a disease very easily. The rats can carry disease and they can spread that disease, it even states in Source 4, “It was this rat which ushered in the Black Plague.” In this piece, they are speaking of Black Rats. These rats were probably one of the unlucky 60%, or it was a carrier something that was on them.

The largest of these rodents, the Josephoartigasia monesi, could weigh up to 2,200 pounds, about 17 times the size of the 130 pound capybara. This rodent was believed to have travelled from Africa to South America and may be an ancestor to Caviomorpha, which includes a variety of rodents ranging from porcupines, spiny rats, chinchillas, guinea pigs, and capybaras. Capybaras are close relatives to cavies, a member of the same order. Cavies, are much smaller than capybaras, eat a larger variety of plants, and inhabit a diverse group of environments. It’s believed that cavies and capybaras, as members of Caviidae, began diversifying anywhere from 17 mya to 18.8 mya. The capybara kept the large size of ancestors and specialized while cavies shrunk and expanded in range. The capybaras specialization, unfortunately, may cause a

We wake up at the most randomest times usually really late at night, most men are exhausted but fully awake due to fear. All we see are lights flashing all around us and loud booming noises coming closer and closer to where we keep shelter. You could even see the pale faces of each inexperienced soldier in the pitch black night. Most times they are vomiting when they kill one the soldiers from the other side because they didn’t realize how truly horrible war is. When we cross no man’s land you have to keep your head up because of all the dead bodies and wounded soldiers we couldn’t save are there.
Pack rats get their name because they love finding and collecting random objects, which they use to build their nests. But the tiny rodents pack more than just random objects — they pack a serious punch. If you have pack rats in your garden, you need to get rid of them before you become a victim of their nefarious ways.
