I envision the AAC role being a critical driver of the OSE’s strategic priorities to build community and connect with a variety of student demographics by organizing events that attract a variety of students. I would do this by getting to know the students as well as encourage the Student Activities Team to share their interests and get to know the interests of the students and community. Along with gathering the interests, of the students and the overall St. Jerome’s community, we would to run events to cater to those interests to promote community building through building various relationships due to the events the Student Activities Team runs. From my perspective the role of an AAC is more of a behind the scenes job. An AAC is in charge of making sure things get done. 2. I was the activities director and as activities director, I executed and supervised extracurricular activities, programs, and field trips. I created and designed promotional materials for all activities, wrote and published school newsletters, and managed social media content. Being an adolescent in this position, gave me a better insight on what the students desired and I, in turn, gave the students a greater experience in that area. I will take that drive, determination, and experience, and everything I learned from it and apply it to my schoolwork and my overall college
My education and past experience lead me to believe that working, as a Policy Associate in your organization would allow me to apply my rigorous analytical training to generate thoughtful and impactful energy for seamless internal support and external social/political progress.
1. Describe the qualities, skills, talents, and experiences of a good health care practitioner. How do you exhibit them?
I want to be involved in PSAC so I can help the student experience by creating a more spirited student body and bring together the diverse community we have at Hinsdale South. I believe we should create more events to help school spirit such as Holi Days, as it brings in culture and it can be such a great event if our student body came together. Through PSAC, I can provide original ideas for our Principal so we make this year and following years a memorable experience for students and staff at Hinsdale South.
I participate in Student Leadership Team at C-Tec. I volunteered at multiple community events such as our annual open house and our schools’ evening of exploration. One of our most important duties is to host student run tours and other events to peak new students’ interest in attending C-Tec. Without our service younger students would never get to experience the unique qualities of C-Tec. I currently have obtained 25 volunteer
Personal statement: What leadership and service qualities do you have which you feel would make you an excellent addition to the University Marshals? How do you serve as a leader?
Rationale behind question: A successful candidate in this position will need to make strategically and ethically sound decisions in limited amount a time. The candidate will have to quickly evaluate given situations and consider the long-term impact it has on the organization and its community partnerships. An acceptable answer to such a question will involve the applicant clearly expressing how she managed multiple responsibilities, how she overcame any obstacles, and what was the result of her efforts.
