As an Immigrant child, I had a conclusion that all immigrant parents come to America for a better education for their kids. They wanted to give them the opportunity to have a better life that they never had. In American the first thing that I notice was that the airport, weather, and the school are all very different.

The United State of America has been a place of opportunities where one can easily achieve his or her dreams. Critiques have shown that even a few who are brought up from a poor family have to turn out becoming great people on earth. It is a country that was built by immigrants. When?” Those were the questions I did to my mom almost every day after getting home from school. Fourteen years ago that my parents brought me to this country offering a better life with better opportunities than where I was born. I was seven years old when came to the United States, but I still remember the happiness I felt when I first step in this country. Throughout the years, I have realize that not everything is easy and simple as I imagined. My parents worked in the fields because of the lack of a social security and not knowing how to speak English. Many Americans do not know how hard it is the life of an immigrant, they should have a consideration for us and not just blame us for the deviance of the United States.

The majority of American children grow up learning that Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1492. There is little room for argument against the idea that the United States is a nation founded on immigration. However, there are some Americans who contend to the idea that new immigrants should not be allowed into United States and should receive no help adapting to their new culture. When people travel to the United States, the majority choose to bring their children with them. These children leave their homes and must come face to face with their new surroundings. If children are rejected at the border, what does that say about American citizens? How the children are treated by their peers can have a considerable impact on their likelihood of success. If nearly 44 million foreign-born people live in the United States 22 percent of those people are children, that leaves with America nearly 10 million immigrant children who may need assistance while trying to go through school. Immigrant children are typically described as those who have at least one foreign-born parent. These children deserve the same opportunities to succeed as the typical American born children. With assistance, immigrant children are likely to graduate high school and even move forward with college. If American citizens wish to make the United States a better place, they must move forward with helping the immigrant children.

Those two goals are a better opportunity for employment and education. Which in turn, accomplishing either one of these goals will provide a higher quality of life and a sense of importance for themselves and their family. However, Americans view the immigrants differently from what they are. Some Americans view the immigrants with different stereotypes such as being lazy system abusers, dangerous criminals, and job thieves, just to name a few. However, these stereotypes are not true and does not represent the majority of immigrant. In actuality, immigrants are very disciplined, hard workers whom are also highly motivated opportunity chasers, where in these ways they should and need to be viewed by Americans.

In the early 1880’s immigrants started to come over to the United States. Immigrants came into the United States for job opportunities, and a better life for there families. Immigrants come from all over the world, such as chinese, Italian, and Russian immigrants. The experiences of Chinese immigrants differed from immigrants from Italy, and Russia. Their experiences differed, because of how they came over to America, where they lived, and jobs.

People are always uneasy with what they don’t know, and immigrants carry with them different cultures, languages, and the unknown. During the late 1900s and early 2000s, America was dealing with a large influx of immigrants. In America from 1880 to 1925, immigrants were viewed through a lens of racial prejudice and seen as either sources of work or of crime.

        Ever since the United States was founded, immigrants have been arriving on its soil.  The first white inhabitants of the U.S. were immigrants from Europe.  They came for many reasons, such as religion and opportunity.  As the country grew and became more prosperous, it became more enticing to foreigners looking for opportunity.  This continued into the 20th century and finally during the 1920’s, the United States began to restrict immigrants from coming to their country, mostly for cultural and economic reasons.  Even the immigrants that were allowed in during the 20’s faced many hardships such as religious persecution, racism, and xenia phobia.  One of the major groups of immigrants during that

Migrating to the United States is something that has been a controversial topic, dating back many years ago. It has also been an issue for other races when deciding to come to the U.S. People have been harassed, and judged based on the color of their skin, or for what they believe in. During and after World War I, the U.S. became more accepting of immigrants coming here, but they have never been treated like full-fledged Americans and still are not to this day.

Many immigrants came to America seeking freedom, jobs, and land while others were running from famine and war. While immigrants ran from the problems of their native land, they were running into new problems in America. Americans feared the immigrants would take their jobs or have the right to vote. This fear caused discrimination against the immigrants due to their diverse backgrounds from Germany, Ireland, and China. Immigrants that came to America faced the hardship of discrimination because they did not only stand out with their culture but also because Americans didn’t necessarily want them in America.

My ideas and thoughts about Africa had been changed after I listened to Adichie’s speech. The way she described the danger of a single story was very inspiring to me, and I could relate many of the experiences I had to her story. I was born in Pakistan and moved to the U.S. in 2007. So during the year we had to work on many things as partners, and we got along great we had many things in common and at the end of the year we became pretty good friends. At the beginning he probably heard some things about my country and he just assumed that I was the person he heard from those stories, and after meeting me he had a different understanding of it. Soon after the year ended my dad found a better job in California so we moved here. I lived in Alameda and went to wood middle. The school I went to was very diverse and this time I wasn’t the only Muslim

It appears to be nowadays due to the modeling industry and social media they have portrayed a single story of the ideal body that has been affecting young women making them self-conscious pushing them into having a lower self-esteem about their body. It has influenced more eating disorders such has bulimia and anorexia but not only that it has also pushed into getting cosmetic surgery and body surgery to fix their flaws. Women want to perceive the perfect body they are willing to fix their flaws not realizing on how they naturally are is what makes them beautiful.
