REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDIES This chapter presents the review of related literature and studies. It contains a review of books and studies on the subject matter conducted here and abroad and their relation to the present research. The researcher looked for a number of foreign and local studies and some related literatures that have either direct or indirect bearing to the study.

As a result of these contacts and discussions, the Program Leader will, with the combined judgment of those acquainted with the student’s performance, decide whether or not further action should be taken at this time, and if so, will establish what the appropriate steps are, given the conditions of concern. In cases where student performance is deficient, the student should be informed (by the persons stipulated above) about the nature of the deficiency, should be encouraged to state his or her views of the situation, and, except in extreme or dangerous circumstances, given an opportunity to improve.
Formal Proceedings:
To be implemented when Denial of a Privilege is contemplated 1. When a concern reaches a point at which the denial of a privilege is contemplated (for example, denying a practicum or internship placement), formal procedures must be initiated. At that point, the Program Leader will form a
committee of three faculty members--one member being outside the Department--to discuss the perceived problems. Ordinarily this committee will include those persons most directly involved with the student as well as one or more persons who will, by virtue of their previous experience in these kinds of proceedings, be able to provide continuity. If necessary, the Program Leader will be designated to act to ensure that the student understands the process. This committee will
In response to the question set, I will go into detail of the study, consisting of the background, main hypotheses, as well the aims, procedure and results gathered from the study; explaining the four research methods chosen to investigate,
The paper will begin with a Review of the Research. This section will summarize all the information gathered for this paper. Here the background will be given and the foundation laid for the rest of the report. Next will be the Application of the Research. This is
The findings of this study may further contribute to the body of knowledge which may serve as bases for further research.
Although the amount of research conducted is valid to the nature of the source, it is insufficient for in-depth study purposes. There are no official studies or other valid sources used in this article and a bibliography, naturally, is not provided.
The results from this where significant in that all students during their baseline evaluation, it was below an expected level, however it was quite clear that during this process there was a big improvement , their report cards show a vast improvement with scores varying from D to C, D to B and B to A,
This study sought to answer three research questions. Although the questions have been presented in previous chapters, they are worth presenting again.
Following the introduction, the authors continue into a review of literature in which the cited sources addressed relevance to the study’s variables. The review of literature consisted mainly of primary and current sources, with no citations preceding the article by five years. It is within this section of the article where the authors chose to further discuss the previous research conducted on the variables and how the variables have
Response to Intervention was created to intercept the struggling performance of student at the risk of academic and/or behavioral failure. Through early detection of specific skills deficiencies, students are identified and immediate assessments are administered. Diagnosis of these deficient skills allows teachers to structure instruction to meet the specific needs of students. Strategic plans are developed to target skills deficiency and an alternative instructional plan is created.
In this section, there are two main articles selected that will be further analyze by providing a concise description of the articles, which include the purpose of the article, questions of the authors address, key findings and their conclusion.
The order in which this thesis is organized is presented in this section. This thesis is divided into five main section: the first chapter as the Introduction; the second chapter as the Literature review; the third chapter as the Research Methodology; the fourth chapter as the Data Analysis and Recommendation; the fifth and last part as the Conclusion – all together amounting to five
A total of 35 sources were used throughout the article. Of the 35 sources, 27 of them were written in the last 10 years, which
The purpose of this review is to narrate and provide the details of published academic studies about the
Which consist of weekly grade (WG) reports, student teacher conferences, developing goals & strategies, follow up conferences, and lastly adjustments to goals and strategies (Sebag, 2010). In the first stage, the “weekly grade reports”, the “student and teacher completes daily conduct forms that address major areas of concern for the student” (Sebag, 2010, p, 24). Each conduct concern will be addressed as a domain, and the students can either loose or gain points from each domain (Sebag, 2010). The second stage, “student teacher conferences”, involves the student using the WG report results to discuss the areas in which the student improved and the areas in which the student still needs work (Sebag, 2010). “Developing goals & strategies” is like the second part of stage two. In this step the student uses the weekly grade report results to come up with goals that will tackle the greatest areas of behavior challenges (Sebag, 2010). Next is the “follow up conference stage”, where students reflect on how they did with the goals that were set in the previous step. In the final stage, adjustment(s) to goals and strategies, the student makes the necessary adjustments to the goals that were made in step three for further improvement (Sebag,
A review of the literature provides more detailed information on the chosen topic. Its purpose is to give the researcher knowledge that will form the foundation for his or her study and therefore, the information must be related to the topic. Not only does it provide basic information on the variables in the topic but also covers various relatable studies conducted in the past; how, where they were conducted, and the conclusions that the researcher(s) came to. Literature can be obtained from a wide variety of sources; newspapers, journals, databases, books, encyclopedias, digital sources, and much more. Information obtained in this section helps the researcher understand the magnitude of the problem defined in the first stage, recognize any consequences and gaps that other researchers may have not filled, and identify potential strategies to combat the problem. It serves as a secondary source of information. Based on
