Every person has his own philosophy which ultimately guides him through each day. If a person believes in basic moralities, such as not lying, cheating or stealing, then his actions will project his beliefs. If one does not agree with these moralities then his actions will oppose the actions of those who do. People?s philosophies are often guided by how they were raised as children and how their mind processes information. Situations and events, positive or negative, can change how a person sees the world which affects the philosophy that they live by. A Christian?s philosophy is found in the Bible. The Bible is the Word of God which reveals how man came into existence, man?s purpose on earth and even some of God?s plan for the future. The Bible is God?s primary tool that He uses to show His love and guide a Christian through his life. All religions have some sort of god or figure that is worshipped. Out of all the false gods, none can compare to the God of the Bible. He is the one

A legion of God?s angels became prideful of God and allowed that pride to consume them. Their desire to be like God in power and authority caused them to fall away from Him. Ultimately forcing God to cast the rebellious angels out of Heaven. Satan, a fallen angel, came to the earth in the form of a serpent and tempted Adam and Eve in the same way he was tempted. God Specifically told Adam and Eve not to eat of the tree in the middle of the garden (Genesis 3:3), but Satan told them that if they were to eat of the tree they would be like God. Adam and Eve?s desire to be like God caused them to eat the fruit of the tree in which they were commanded not to. Romans 5:12 says ?just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men? (NKJV). Because Adam gave into temptation, he became a bondservant to sin and caused all men to be liable to the punishment of death (?I. The Origin of
The story of Adam and Eve is simple. God created man and gave him a wife and all the animals, along with the Garden of Eden. The only rule was that they could not eat the fruit from the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil or the tree of Life (Genesis 2:8-3:24). Eve, tempted by evil, ate from the tree anyway and let her husband eat from it too.
However, evil soon entered the garden in the form of a serpent. One day when Eve was walking in the garden she encountered the evil serpent who encouraged her to take a fruit from one of God’s forbidden fruit trees. The serpent succeeded in deceiving Eve to take a fruit; she then ate the fruit and shared it with Adam. Then God became angry with Adam and Eve for betraying Him. To punish Adam and Eve, he ejected them from the garden and subjecting them to mortality, painful childbirth, sin and shame.
Carnegie came from humble beginnings, but through his extraordinary vision he would become the richest man on the planet and would display idealized influence and inspirational motivation through his philanthropic endeavors, inspiring the nation’s richest to give to charities through the use of foundations. Carnegie was born in Scotland and moved to U.S with his family in 1848 when he was 12 years old. His father attempted to start a weaving business in America, but failed, leaving Carnegie to work in a mill for $1.20 a week (Goldin, 1988, p. 13). Carnegie would go to on to build a fortune worth almost $450 million by making investments and building a technologically advanced steel making process at a time when the U.S was using steel
Dr. Henderson said, “A worldview contains a person’s answers to the most important questions in life.”[3] Christians are given the answers to those questions through the Word of God. We believe that the Word of God is authoritative. Dr. Henderson said, “The Bible is the Word of God, as Scripture, as what has been written down, as the Holy Spirit enabled and guided holy people to write it.”[4] As a Christian, I should seek to apply the Word of God to every aspect of my life.
As Adam and Eve ate the fruit, they became naked and god cursed them by banishing them from the Garden of Eden and placing a guard around the Tree of Life. The serpent is pre-existent evil and is considered a proto, a type of Satan (devil).
God told Adam and Eve in the beginning that they would die on the day they ate from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. One death was immediate; this was that they were spiritually separated from God. However, their physical bodies continued to live, but they would not live forever as God apparently intended. They would become old, sick and die. All three (Adam, Eve and the serpent) were put out of the guard and the curse came not only on them but on the whole world. They no longer had a personal communion with God.
It is a pleasure to read your post. From a Christian point of view, the Bible is the word of God,2 Timothy 3:16-17, Paul asserted that the Bible equips for good work, is beneficial for correction, rebuke and training in righteousness. God’s word gives the view of life and His absolute standards. The Bible is not irrelevant to ethics but, instead, it is the foundation for ethics.
Christian beliefs are that there is one God, who created the world, and many stories behind his power recorded in the bible. The bible helped set the many different morals of Christianity such as glory, honoring heroes, family, and many more. The Bible also says what is considered evil, such as greed or murder, which increased in many of the Anglo-Saxons over decades. In Beowulf , these values are being taught through
Its scriptures are used as the declaration of God’s word. The bible scriptures give clear guidance for most of one’s decision making. No one has to spend a lot of time brooding if God would be satisfied with the choice that he or she will make about career or any type of decisions. The confusion comes when one can not perceive a direction from the biblical scriptures that is God’s word (Barnes, 2010). Biblical scriptures give one strength, understanding and confirmation for most problems, decisions, faith, a repetition of history, understanding of today’s time, and predictions. The bible gives a universal standard for ethical behavior (McMinn, 1996). Horton (2009) suggests that people who support biblical understanding for spiritual discernment the root of their decision making should be based on biblical standards because the bible is sound, reliable and it is God’s holy word.
The Genesis myth is a story in which God establishes a garden named Eden and creates human beings to live and enjoy it, Adam and Eve were the first, In this Myth there was a heaven in which God had also created and he was there with all his angels. Lucifer was one of the most beautiful angels God had created and Lucifer was also known as the “Angel of Light”. One day Lucifer started becoming jealous of God and wanted to become like him or even more powerful than him. He started to explain his thoughts and feelings to the other angels and a lot of them started agreeing with him. When God found out what Lucifer was up to, he vanished Lucifer along with all the other angel who didn’t listen to him and sent them all to hell.
With this class being my first formal encounter with Philosophy, I have learned a great deal from reading Foreman's Prelude to Philosophy. In Chapter Three, Foreman asks the question what role the Bible plays in doing philosophy especially for Christians, who take the Scriptures seriously. Many points are discussed for both extremes. On one side, you should leave the Bible out completely. To leave the Bible out would mean that we would approach philosophy with no position, neutral. It is the only way that we could maintain an open mind. Once you have done all your research, on all possible views, then you can establish your side or worldview. One problem with this stance is the difficulty for us to put away our personal biases. On the
an archangel who walked with God among the stones of fire. Lucifer, aware of his own beauty wanted to be worshiped as God. So he led a rebellion in heaven, and 1/3rd of the angels in heaven followed him. the pre-Adamic world had also fallen and had evil continually in their hearts. The people and creatures on earth followed after Lucifer. The world was full of darkness and misery. Full of destruction, death, ignorance, sorrow, wickedness, and obscurity, and would not repent. God cast out Lucifer, judged the world with catastrophic effects, killing every living thing. This ended the preadamic race. The earth bears the scars of this fall and holds the ruins of a pre-existing world. Fossils of
We were meant to just guard Eden, protect the humans, from each other for in Eden were things that would destroy the humans and in return the humans would destroy Eden and all that was created for them to live. The only rule they had was to not eat from the Tree of Knowledge and for a while all was peaceful and perfect, until one day we found Eve at the base of the tree with the forbidden fruit in her hand. As the others took Adam and Eve out of Eden and to the feet of Father I saw a snake crawling across the ground. When the snake saw me he changed into Lucifer, Fathers favorite and most beautiful angel, and then he grinned at me.
In this poem, the words that the poet used to describe about the poem is clear, and easily to understand, but some of the words have a deeper meaning. She expresses her emotion and feeling in the poem by the words that she use. She make the readers to understand about a situation in her life. In Adam's case, Satan in the form of a serpent persuaded him to bit the apple.
