Ricky Carmichael competed in motocross from 1984 to 2007 and supercross from 2002 to 2007. Between the ages of five and sixteen he won sixty-seven amateur championship awards. When he began racing professionally he won American Motocross Association (AMA) 125cc championships in 1997, twice in 1998, and in 1999. After he advanced to the 250cc class in 2000, Carmichael attained the title of AMA Motocross champion with two perfect seasons of twenty-four wins in 2002 and 2004 until 2007 where he entered stock car racing. In 1999 Ricky attempted to compete in AMA Supercross but crashed hard in the first race of the season in Anaheim.

Montel Williams had to deal with something pretty surprising today as he was detained at the airport for having medical marijuana on him. Montel didn't have all of the proper paperwork with him to prove it was medical, and it held him up a bit. Us Magazine shared the news about what happened to Montel Williams. The field of voicework is a manifold craft, comprised of such occupations as narrator, voice actor, and radio announcer. These occupations vary in their responsibilities and purposes, yet all share a common component that lies central to their accomplishment. Voice. In particular, a warm and confident voice. In the year of 2011 one such voice was found in a most unlikely place. It was in January of that year that a seemingly innocuous video was filmed and posted on the internet. The subject of that video was one Ted Williams who, at the time, was bereft of a home. Williams was possessed of a noticeably deep and striking voice which soon led to an explosion of popularity centered around the video itself. With this popularity came a recognition of talent, and soon enough he had found himself afloat in a proverbial sea of opportunity.

Robin Williams was one of the greatest actors that ever lived. He always thought positive things, “No matter what people tell you, words and ideas can change the world”. People think that smoking pot will turn you into a couch potato with blood shot eyes munching down on a bag of chips the rest of your life. Is it surprising that top paid professional athletes use this drug on a regular basis as relief from pain and stress? Sports leagues hand out opioids like candy and athletes have been prescribed massive amounts to mask the excruciating pain they experience daily. Marijuana should be legalized in professional sports because it is safer than opioids, can enhance performance and provides physical and mental health benefits.

Washington argued that Roger Goodell, the Commissioner of the NFL needs to take active steps and lead other sports in terms of regulating and legalizing the use of medical marijuana. Goodell takes the approach of following medical advice, but Washington believes that the NFL needs to lead the way, rather than follow.

In this essay I will be giving reasons and evidence for the use of medical marijuana to get taken off the ban list for the NBA and NFL. I will go in depth on why this could help athletes take the edge off and much more. there are plenty of reasons such as it can treat glaucoma,it can help control epileptic seizures and a chemical found in it and many more reasons.now lets get focused on why it should be taken off the ban list for athletes a major reason is it can help recovery go a lot faster. “This pain is never going away. That’s not the only source advocating for medical marijuana there are many more retired nfl players that use it that we will get into later.in summary of the introduction there are many reasons why it should be taken off the ban list and I will go into more depth in the rest of this essay.

Although, I did not come out directly and say what was going on with me from a personal perspective, this was an uphill battle for me. Over the past year I have been in and out of work quite frequently secondary to a back surgery that had gone wrong and constantly hurt 24/7. When all is said and done, it was not the easiest thing to concentrate while hurting, however, my family, friends and you gave me the courage to keep pressing. Most times when I tried to grasp the material during multiple episodes of pain, the end result was not what I expected, but I reamin positive.

Playing professional football in the National Football League can be an extremely violent and dangerous profession. Every play, physically gifted and skilled athletes collide during practices and games resulting in many injures. Players are often prescribed painkillers such Percocets and Vicodin to deal with the pain, however they can become very addicting. Due to painkillers high risk of substance abuse by NFL players the league has since looked into other remedies for concussions and injuries, such as marijuana. However, should the NFL allow this drug for recreational uses though it has named illegal in 43 states.
