Roles In Romeo And Juliet

In the play “Romeo & Juliet” shakespeare portrayed all aspects of love throughout different characters. Each character carries its own meaning of love which is what makes this play unique. Romeo,Nurse, and Tybalt all represent divergent love.The word Love can come in all sorts of ways which is why it is such a diverse word. Love is a powerful term that can be portrayed as deep affection, devotion, and even heartbreak.

Romeo is very dramatic and obsessed with love. In the beginning he is obsessed with being in love, it doesn't seem like he loves Rosaline, he just wants to be in love with someone. But by the end of the book I think he might actually love Juliet.

When Juliet finds out that Tybalt has been killed and Romeo is in exile, for killing Tybalt, Juliet feels both passionate about Romeo and disappointed in both Romeo and herself, which reveal her inner struggle. In Act 3, Juliet’s Nurse comes back with this news that Tybalt is dead and that Romeo is such an awful person for killing him. Juliet fights back at the Nurse, and herself, for speaking bad about Romeo. She claims, ““Shall I speak ill of him that is my husband? Ah, poor my lord, what tongue shall smooth thy name, When I, thy three hours' wife, have mangled it? But wherefore, villain, didst thou kill my cousin? That villain cousin would have killed my husband.” (3.2.99-101). This shows that Juliet is passionate about Romeo, because first of all, she says that she was wrong to say bad things about her husband.

Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare has many conflicts concerning the adults and children of the play. The fault of the numerous conflicts throughout Romeo and Juliet is clearly to blame of the parents and adult figures in the play, clearly shown through the adults forcing the children into unideal circumstances, and the adults attempting to make the problems that were created better. The children although histrionic, were prompted towards bad decisions and convinced towards erroneous plans.

In “The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet” the younger generation, Romeo, Juliet, and Paris, and the older generation, Nurse, Capulets, and Friar, both had similarities and differences which had caused the end. They had a similar opinion on things going on and different opinions ones others. In the tragedy, the main characters died which was influenced by the older generations because they have similar and different opinions which all led the younger ones to death.

Sampson and Gregory are itching for a fight as they both believe that they have just as much right to defend the name ‘capulet’ as any other member of the family. So there is also this love for the name and for the fight as though they are children awaiting

In society there are individuals that are closer to others; like friends and family, and then there are also people that we notice are there, we know of them, but we don't actually know them. Those are called peripheral people. Usually people think that the peripheral individuals will not impact the as much, but in reality they actually have the most impact. In different literatures people face different objects and people that affect them, called the minor characters. They either can leave a positive or a negative effect depending on the situation, but the truth is that everyone's actions make a difference no matter how involved or not.

Juliet is not unlike the typical young women constantly struggling to find happiness and acceptance from those who are closest to her. Young Juliet must confront the harsh reality that exists between her and those who profess to be her friends and family, which is they failed to support her, love her, and lift her up with she needed it most. In the timeless book, “Romeo & Juliet” William Shakespeare writes a moving story about the betrayal, disappointment, love, and eventual death of Romeo and Juliet. No reader can truly appreciate and understand the level of Juliet’s struggles without first understanding the roles the Lord Capulet, Friar Lawrence and Romeo, their betrayal and their role in her faithful decision.

Juliet is to be married as “The valiant Paris seeks [her] for his love”(686) and Romeo feels depressed. Juliet doesn’t truly want to be married to Paris and when Romeo comes along and says he loves her, Juliet uses this as an excuse to be ineligible to Paris. Moments before he saw Juliet, Romeo claimed that he was deeply in love with Rosaline, although when presented with someone who he deemed as more beautiful he’s questions if, "[his] heart [did] love till now?...For [he feels he has] ne'er saw true beauty till this night" (pg 692). If he had truly been in love with Rosaline then seeing another girl wouldn't have changed his mind, but as he is so young he isn't able to understand that what he felt for both, Juliet and Rosaline was lust. Romeo’s misinterpretation of what love is shows a lot in this play. He attends the Capulet’s party just so that he could see Rosaline not to see Juliet. Rosaline is aware of Romeos ‘feelings’ towards her and spurns his advances, yet Romeo takes this rejection as encouragement and continues to attempt to woo her.
