I am Ryan Rucker and I am responsible, and my responsibility comes from my father, who has taught me that part of being responsible is the capability of being able to maintain healthy relationships with anyone initially, and having a high moral caliber. Personally, I give credit to my father for showing me how to be responsible and instructing me on the overall importance of being responsible. From a very young age, I've been taught and shown by my father that being responsible is something that you are obligated to do. Not only is it important because it is something you should do, but because it shows others that you will do the right thing when given the opportunity to do the wrong thing. In addition, the ability of being able to take …show more content…
When you first meet someone it is your responsibility to make a good first impression. Of course this is your choice, but if you chose to take the initiative and have responsibility, people will begin to appreciate and respect the effort put forward to be responsible. In addition, by having a good relationship with other people they will perceive you as someone who cares for them and respects them. They in turn, will usually care about and respect you. To me, this means a lot to have the respect of another person, it means that they support me somewhat. For the most part, I try to also analyze any other person's responsibility and how they handle it. This affects how I view them, and I wouldn't expect any less of them when they judge my character and responsibility. By demonstrating how responsible I am, the relationship I have with other people, and their opinion of me will …show more content…
To me responsibility is an obligation you should fulfill even if it concerns you remotely. In addition, you should do the right thing to the best of your ability, despite the consequences it may entail. By being diligently responsible and upright, I will be set apart and viewed differently in comparison to others. Not only does the responsibility I have affect me, it also affects other people and possible their responsibility. But if you acknowledge and accept that as fact, and work towards your goal, people will not only view you differently, they will treat you differently. Because of my high moral standards and responsibility, I hope that I will be known as a respectful and respected man. While it is important what I think of myself, it is admittedly important what others think of me reasonably. Because I am responsible, my high moral caliber will hopefully continue to expand, and as it expands I will be known for being responsible and
Responsibility means having an obligation to deal with something. Some people feel honored to take responsibility, but most people want to run away from it. In the book, The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls, the author describes what happened in her life starting from her earliest memory. Together with her family, they strive to survive whatever life throws at them. Most of their decisions are made by her dad, Rex Walls, who is also incidentally the root of their problem -- or at least the majority of them. He is a highly skilled and intelligent man but with little to no sense of responsibility and resistance to temptations. We can see this when he was teaching Jeannette, when he tried to stop drinking alcohol, and when he was driving their car as fast as it could go.
I was taught from the beginning that I have to take responsibility for my actions. As I got older more responsibilities were added to my plate. At the age of sixteen I began working in a pet grooming salon and adding more responsibility on myself. I worked thirty five hours a week while still in high school. Right after I graduated high school I joined the Army, this opened up a window of new responsibilities. This was the first time I was responsible for myself and for others around me. As far as being a student it is my responsibility to show up to class prepared for each day and be where I need to be at the correct time. It is my responsibility to make sure that I learn and fully understand the material that is being taught. It is also my responsibility to communicate if there is something that I don’t understand and reach out to find a way to understand
My mom leaving to America showed me how hard it was to be responsible I believe that being responsible is a great quality that everyone should acquire at some point in his or her life. Being responsible helps me succeed in all that I try to accomplish. I believe in being responsible.
Responsible. During middle school, my parents were not getting along for various reasons. Seeing both of my parent’s angry over issues, primarily centered on money, made me depressed. As a result, I matured quickly and became a leader because it was now my responsibility to help my younger brother in and out of school, achieve high goals academically, and lead the football team as the quarterback. Dr. Gonzalez helped me tremendously because she assured me that my parent’s situation was not my fault and congratulated me for excelling at school.
Holding one’s self responsible for actions taken in a positive and negative light are to me, requirements of adulthood. Responsibility comes with being punctual in paying your bills, being at work ,
Accountability affects your everyday life without you even realizing it. At this point in our lives it is no longer a job but a part of life and a sign of responsibility. Another sign of maturity is holding yourself accountable for your own actions. If you are one of those people who goes around making excuses for everything you do, people will begin to lose faith in you, and in turn you will not only lose your credibility but their trust as well. After a certain point excuses become less relevant or believable and you are seen and/or treated as if you were lying. No leader likes the “It wasn’t my fault”, “I was gonna”, or “see what had happened was” guy/gal and you shouldn’t want to be him/her. It is always better to hold yourself accountable for your own actions, you will gain a lot more respect that way. Once again accountability plays a major role in the quality of your everyday life and the lives of those around you as well. Good accountability or a lack of accountability can mean the difference in somebody getting paid the right amount or even at all. It could be the difference of receiving a tax refund or paying the state more than what you owe. It could be your children returning safely from a field trip or sending out an ABB or Amber Alert. It could even mean the life or death of a friend whether you’re deployed or just downtown having a drink. Nobody knows how a lack of
The definition of responsibility is different in my head than it is in a dictionary. My definition of responsibility is to make the right choices and do the right things. It also is to be continuously responsible not just for one time. This is the same with my definition of maturity. Maturity to me is to be adult and act properly or with care in some situations.

According to Dictionary.com, the word “responsibility” means “the state or fact of being answerable or accountable.”
I may have been considered a responsible employee before this because I was on time to work, was efficient at work, and always completed all my tasks. But this was a different kind of responsibility, taking responsibility for making someone and something else better. The rest of my life I’m going to be faced with questions of responsibility, particularly what falls under my responsibility. I hope that because I went through this experience I will look at responsibility in a new way. May that be in working at a company and taking responsibility for my coworkers to be better or socially holding my friends to be better people. My point is, it is easy to say that something is not your responsibility, but being a responsible person means taking responsibility for others that you can help. This will in turn make them, yourself, the company you work for, and in the end the world, a better
Being responsible refers to our ability to make decisions that serve our own interests and the interests of others. You first need to trust yourself and believe that you can be responsible. It is important that you know your limits; therefore, you won’t let others down. Before you do all of this, you need to make people trust in you. You could start off by giving people an example of how responsible you could really be. Therefore, their trust in you will increase, and you will become more responsible because you will like that people trust you. Many people will know you for your
To build responsibility as a child I volunteered to take care of my family dog. Even though she was the family’s pet I took it upon myself to make sure she was properly fed, watered, and walked. My mother was very proud of my new development as an adolescent. She became very encouraging and would come up with other special chores around the house that I could be relied upon to handle. To some children this would seem like a punishment, but both of my parents were so supportive and persuasive that I looked forward to having the gained accountability. My father instituted honesty and respect as monuments for responsibility. I of course struggled at times with taking care of my dog, and handling some of my other chores. But my father always wanted me to not only be honest with my parents, but also with myself. He stated that a lie would not benefit anybody and it was disrespectful to tell a lie. He would tell me that a liar was the same as a cheater, and nobody liked either. If I knew how to respect others and be honest, than my responsibility would only increase. I asked why I would want added responsibility and my father told me two things that changed my perspective completely. First, it was that responsible people always tended to be more successful. Since I had always dreamed of growing up to be rich and famous, I guess I could accept the added responsibility. The second thing he told me was that one day I could possibly
Responsibility in a person is a must as they can be more trusting and dependable if they have even the slightest amount of responsibility unlike those who don’t have any they can be lacking in many things and most people will see them as drags on society. Not only that, but they seem to have negative impressions with everyone else as they do not really help contribute to the betterment of mankind but that is how most people act in today’s world. But they still seem to go on and make the best of the day that they can. Responsibility is hard for a lot of people, it puts stress on you and makes people think you’re dependent so they might start asking more from you. That saying, my life would be much better than it already is if I took reasonability for my Self in more ways than one.
Accountability is so important not only within the different theories in psychology but important in the lives of every person. Accountability is defined as an instance when a person is responsible for their actions, thoughts, or behaviors (Merriam-Webster, 2016). Accountability is also described as being willing to stand up and be held responsible for their actions, behaviors or thoughts. Accountability helps show people that there is an expectation or an assumption that they are accountable to their behavior, their
My family and friends describe me as a responsible person. I always take responsibility for my acts and I understand that result always depends only on me. I guess, people like that they can rely on me in any situation. For example, if I promised to come and help, people are sure that I will do it because there is no evidence when I could take my words back.
