Dear Mr. Chairman and other distinguished committee members, My name is Mingyu Liu and I am a transfer student who’s still in his first year at the University of Melbourne. It is with my extreme honesty and respect that I write down this letter to explain the circumstances that led me to make unsatisfactory progress last semester. Since I am an International student, I am terribly sorry that I will not be able to attend the hearing. May this letter clears the confusion and explain my thoughts on this. After the examination period I was almost certain it has been a semester of disappointment and a meeting with the University’s CUPC committee is inevitable. And I shall no doubt, take the full blame for the mistakes I made this semester that directly led to this frustrating result. I was somewhat confident entering the examination period. I foolishly thought that I have made enough preparations to handle the exams only to be ashamed by the results later came out. I was depressed and felt the world was against me. These grades are poor but also very true reflections of my subpar efforts and …show more content…
A lot of students are willing to devote themselves. Sadly, I WAS not one of them! No matter where I study, I should have tried to do much much more rather than just slack off and hope for the best.
When choosing this major as my future, I knew that many incredible problems await and as a programmer I should always behave myself and take steps wisely. I am ashamed of what I have done in this course. After receiving the notice, I realize that I should have asked for help from tutors and professors directly and go to Academic Skills timely to acquire proper support instead of only relying on lectures and tutorials and studied my courses in a way that made me walk on thin ice. I genuinely feel regretful for my immature behavior and biased attitude which may ruin my
I also want to apologize for the disgrace I may have placed upon myself as a University of Florida student, your hardworking and dedicated employees and staff, as well as the legacy of the University of Florida our past ancestors have fought so hard to uphold. I am a strong believer that an individual can change for the better in any situation. The individual, being myself, am aware of my actions and wrong doings, despite the outcome, out of respect I will acknowledge every single individual that I have negatively impacted along the way. I have created a plan to ensure that I never find myself in this situation or any other similar again. Once again, please consider this letter as a token of complete honesty as I hope this alters the sanction of expulsion that has been placed upon me. I am willing to fight, dedicate, and rebuild the opportunity that is being stripped from my hands. I need with every bone in my body to graduate from the University of Florida and continue on to become more educated, eventually fulfilling my ultimate aspiration of becoming a doctor. I want to be student that will make the University of Florida proud to say I served my undergraduate term here. I want to expand and continue on the legacy everywhere I go. I sincerely apologize to you directly as well as my professors, the dean of students office, and my peers. I know I must pay for my actions
The American Dream is the national ethos that people’s lives would better and more abundant with many opportunities. Although the “American Dream” is still possible, many minorities, a vast portion of people in low to middle class, are affected by the lack of social mobility. As a result, minorities fail to have a sense of the realization of the American Dream because of the fewer advantage and more problems we have to endure. Some advantages comes from the upper class and how they are fortunate to be wealthy to obtain good education and wealth. Ultimately, minorities are suffering within our society because we face intersectionality issues, having fewer opportunities, and are often struggling The article by Steve Lopez, “ LA’s Crisis:
First, congratulations on nomination as President of The West Virginia Bar Board of Governors. A prestigious position, for a minority female.
In this essay, I will describe how the ancient Indians used their environment and embodied two of the characteristics of an ancient civilization. The ancient Indians were innovators who were very successful in observing and improving the world around them to develop their society. They built several advanced cities which archaeologists have unearthed and learned from. They created unique ways to keep records, which were very advanced for that time period.

Hi, this is Charlie Spencer. I tried to get a hold of you by the phone this afternoon but the line rang busy. I went to the store and saw that the power was out and thought you would be very busy and returned home. I have set up my voicemail on my phone, but I am unable to receive calls during school hours. If you would like to contact me during the day, please email me, and we can set up a time to discuss a part time position. Looking forword to hearing from you. Thank you for your consideration.
Whenever the hushed cloud of anxiously awaiting silence was lifted to reveal chorused buzzes from the excitement of returned assignments, my neighbours would eagerly ask me “What’d you get?” These friendly comments and enthusiastic praises slowly morphed and warped over time, bending so far until they curved neatly into the shape of spite. A curious “So how’d you do?” turned into a remorseful “Another A+, right?” while an excited “I got an A too!” turned into a bitter “What, you got an A instead of an A+?”
With all due respect, because I've been waiting for this response for what I consider an inappropriate amount of time, I will be following up on this second email request by tomorrow, but if I do not receive your response by that time I will consider filing a formal grievance for unfair grading appeal type 1 and at a minimum CC. Bic Dovan and anyone else I can think of into this email request to help advocate and/or provide oversight for me receiving
Dear Scholarship Council: The purpose I’m writing this letter is to give my wholehearted support for an outstanding young man Joe Ren who has achieved extraordinary academic accomplishments while keeping himself well self-disciplined for the passing year. As a senior professor who has been at education front for a long time, I would rank Joe in one of the most outstanding students I have met. Overall Joe is modest, intelligent, honest, and incredibly hard-working. It still occurs to me nowadays the scene when I first meet him. He is really polite and raised some innovative questions. I’m impressed by his divergent thinking and knowledge level. In the course of the whole semester he continued to devote all his efforts to develop himself. In the academic aspect, Joe is a
As I faced the final exam of my Viet 4 Honors class in the fall semester, I realized a big mistake in my exam that could destroy my grades. I finish reading the short paragraph and answered the text-dependant questions. Then, I filled the correct bubble of the question, based on the study guide that I was given. Some of the questions was very difficult for me and the other questions were relatively easy for me. Next, I went on writing my essay, as I have 13 minutes left. Several students of this class have already turned their exam in.

So here I am, finally taking my father`s advice, and taking a chance. Perhaps the bravest thing I will ever do, I am retaking these two exams in hopes of accomplishing my dream. I am not resentful towards myself. I finally know who I am and where I want to be. It won`t be easy, but in my heart, I know that this is where I
