But as we all know there are some limitations to Licensing as well, like Limited market opportunities, Dependence on licensee, and the biggest drawback is that you have possibility of creating future competitor. One of the biggest example of Licensing is Calvin Klein Inc, who got about 90 percent of the $160 million a year in sales at Calvin Klein Inc comes from licensing the designer’s name to makers of underwear, jeans and perfume.
