My purpose for applying to Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated is to honor God by serving the Black community with my time, gifts and treasures in partnership with educated Men of character. Likewise, I desire to give myself for others. I realize that all promotions come from God and therefore I have no perceived notions about how the fraternity can assist me with achieving my career goals because I trust that the principle of ‘reaping and sowing’ will naturally come to pass as I share in service alongside of Omega. More importantly, I desire the development of manhood

Every member understands their duties as Ivy League black male and how to use their status to better the situation of others. Many times, for the betterment of the organization, Luke has made the unpopular decision. He has removed members from our fraternity that impeded our success. As a leader, he is able to identify the strengths and weaknesses of his subordinates and use them to create successful

The Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity provided a voice and a dream for African Americans around the world. For people who were colored at the time this fraternity was created, had to struggle in their everyday life because racism was such a huge focus. Alpha Phi Alpha was founded at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York by seven outstanding African American men who attended college there. They created a strong bond and brotherhood in the organization and were an inspiration to colored people all over the nation. The seven founders were known as “Jewels” at the fraternity. These seven men were Henry Arthur Callis, Charles Henry Chapman, Eugene Kinckle Jones, George Biddle Kelley, Nathaniel Allison Murray, Robert Harold Ogle, and Vertner Woodson Tandy. Good Morning, it is with great pleasure that I write this letter of support for Orion Edwards in his application for the University of Guelph McKendry-Baker Memorial Scholarship.
Throughout the story “Samuel,” Grace Paley uses language to generate a healthy dialogue about the fragility of life by comparing the thoughts and reactions of all the characters in the story leading up to and following Samuel’s tragic death. The text leads the reader through four young boys’ adventures on a train. The story chronicles the thoughts of the passengers on the train in New York City, and their actions leading up to and following the unfortunate death of the main character, Samuel.

In many of Thomas Cole’s pictures he depicts the mountains as wells as a river next to it. Surrounding oneself with men with common goals and interests resulting in outstanding achievement; while better one another through a brotherhood, shows the true definition of the word fraternity. Men that see each other as brothers assisting one other using their own specific gifts and intelligence to become significance in partnership. Striving for eminence can use support from people around, in this situation it would be the brotherhood. For example, few people may say Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. have accomplished so much in his time allocation as being an activist; However, there were people such as King-Abernathy, Abraham Woods, Calvin James, and much more; alongside supporting him with life-altering changes like the March on Washington.
It is with great honor that I write you a letter of recommendation regarding Daniel Eppes’ Eagle Scout advancement. I have had the privilege of teaching Daniel in my Junior English course at Hillsborough High School for the 2015-16 school year. From the onset, it was clear that Daniel would be a shining star in my classroom. Reporting to class well before the start bell, having materials out and prepared, and always greeting me with a warm welcome are standard practices for Daniel. He is impeccably kind, every day.
