Summer of 2013, was my very first time traveling to Rockport,Tx. It was myself, girlfriend, her daughter and many family members. As I was driving threw the small town the climate was different than San Antonio; it was muggy, sticky but better than being in San Antonio. That night was pretty relaxing sitting outside our hotel balcony watching the sunset with the ocean around it. Enjoying few cold beers. Came Saturday morning we all woke up to get ready for the beach. Even though the water wasn't clear blue it was nice. Not that much seaweed some jellyfish and minals. As I sat on the sand watching how waves were coming to shore, listening to the pelagun's make noise, hearing the sounds of all the kids splashing in the water, screaming, laughing …show more content…
We packed up and went back to our rooms. Girls went swimming in the pool, and the guys went out to the piers fishing. Since it was my first time well i didn't know how to fish but I learned. One person caught a small shark, another caught a huge fish what kind i don't know. And many other men in my group and others were catching fishes the ones catching the small fishes were getting thrown back in. And that was the end of our Saturday night fishing till dawn. Came Sunday morning before check out well we had to pack up and load the vehicle's not to go home but leave before kicking us out our room. We all went out looking for a place to have lunch. After driving around stopping at gas stations asking where was it good to eat at we FINALLY all decided on a spot Charlotte Plummer's Seafood right off the ocean. The salad bar was great anything you could possibly think of. My plate consisted of fried fish, fried oysters, and fried shrimp. I could say it was pretty delicious and worth every penny. After lunch we visited the gifts shops that were across the street. Bought souvenirs to bring back to remember this great vacation spent with my loved ones. And had to visit K-mart since San Antonio doesn't have one. Pretty much as i remembered it. Minus the food court yard they had. Still had pretty good sells good clearances. Which my girlfriend enjoyed and at the same time saved me money. But all good times come to an end and ours did. Had to
Although I was born in San Antonio, my childhood life wasn’t spent in the Alamo City. Up in north Texas, there is a miniature city consisting of three thousand people named Nocona. The town was my childhood life until my mother fell into a deep depression. As a result, my mother was unable to hold a job or take care of my sisters and I. This resulted in my mother giving us up to my father in San Antonio. When arriving in San Antonio, my mother would tell me that she was going to come back for us. It has been seven years and I have not lived with my mother since.
We’re just a group of minorities trying to make a change in the world.” A phrase I would use when someone asked about my community. We were the eastside of San Antonio, a community to most that contained drop-outs, minorities, criminals, gangs, government assistance and ignorance. We’re the area everyone avoided or spoke of with disgust on their tongue. Our community learned early on that we were on our own against the city and the country. Because of being ostracized from the whole city, no one truly saw the pride and beauty that could be found on the eastside. We’ve made it on our own and thrived through the troubles and pain our community holds. That is what has made me who I am know. I learned to fight through my troubles no matter who
After snorkeling we went back to the hotel and finished the night off in a warm Jacuzzi reminiscing about all the adventures we had on this trip. I think my favorite experience was snorkeling but soon the snorkeling gear began to chafe at my skin which will make an uncomfortable plane ride home. I can't believe we have to be up at 9:00 in the morning to catch our plane home. I had such an amazing time visiting The National Park of American Samoa and I will never forget the great experience I had
Francisco Franco man I just do not know what to say about that guy. We went to boot camp together; then we were told we were both going on the USS Nimitz to fight the naval battle against the Iraqians. There is just something weird about that guy that I just do not like at all. He has this weird look about him all the time as if a shark was trying to catch his prey. Personally I think he is up to something big. I have tried to convince multiple other people that the guy is bad, but it is like trying to trying to stick a piece of wood through a rhinoceros’s skin; it does not work.
I quickly changed into comfortable clothes and woke my brother up (which probably took five minutes) and ate breakfast. I hopped into our rental car, which was presumably small. Three layers of soft, feathered blankets over me, and probably holding onto five different head pillows. “I can’t believe we get to go to South Padre Island for three days!” I yelled to my family. It takes about eight hours to arrive at our hotel, so I definitely got carsick. The good news was that we got to eat fast food! Andrew and I got to sleep a lot while the parents got to drive. We arrived after 7 pm to our hotel. Then, we grabbed our heavy, bulky, luggage and brought them to our room to the 2nd floor. After we unpacked, we were exhausted and all but we still had the stamina to go down to the beach and take a view on the glazing ocean water. It looked very delicate like a clear foil was laid on top of the water. I doused my feet in the cool, numb water. While digging my hands deep in the soft, cushy, sand, I could feel all the grains go
I is for In South Carolina. Last summer me and my family went on vacation to myrtle South Carolina. It was a lot of fun we for to see the ocean for the second time. It took us 19 hours to get there. We stopped at some cool places on the way there. One place we stopped at was a cave it was a 2 mile walk for there through the cave and back. Once we got to Myrtle beach we took some of our stuff Into the hotel. Then my mom, brother, dad and got our passes to go out on the pier. We first went out onto the pier and then we went down to the ocean. We spent all day there and then we ate at the restaurant on the pier entrance.
It was a bright and sunny friday, school had just got out not 2 hours prior, and me and my family decided to head to the beach to start the weekend off before heading back to school that following monday. On our way there I realized they were heading to Waimea Beach which is a good 30 minutes from my house. I love Waimea beach, and has to be one of my favorite I’ve ever been to.
What an awesome, amazing trip! I get to go to San Antonio and Odessa! First, I went to San Antonio. I went to the wax museum and saw people made out of wax. I also saw the haunted wax museum! Then, I went to the movies and saw Ghost Busters. I was so excited to watch the movie! It was funny and great. We got popcorn too! Finally, I got to swim and swim the next day, it was fun! On the way back we stopped in Odessa and roller skated. We also ate cake because it was my cousin’s birthday! When I went back to Presidio I got to jump because I got a new trampoline from Odessa! Going to San Antonio and Odessa has been the best ever! I hope we can go back and have more fun! I enjoyed my vacation at the amazing, awesome fantastic San Antonio and Odessa!
I remember the first time I stepped on to ocean beach sand! Swoosh Swoosh, the sounds of ocean waves crashing into the lightly brown smooth sand on the beach. I remember the soft, smooth sand seeping through the cracks of my toes! The sun was beating down from the blue sky. Heat waves moved across the sand as I looked out into the deep blue ocean! It was all so beautiful! Thats when I knew this was going to be the greatest vacation ever! I knew that my family and I we’re about have a blast on this vacation!
Since it was so early in the morning, I decided to sleep for a little while but was awoken by the sun. I put my headphones in and watched the scenery change. We took a couple of pit stops for gas, restroom breaks, etc. Finally after driving for what felt like forever, we made it to Red Bluff. Once we arrived we saw my mom’s friend and her husband waiting right there next to their car. We got off and started to pack all of our stuff into their car and we said goodbye to our dad. As we drove from California to Oregon, the scenery changed from yellow and dried up to green and a lot of trees. We finally got to our final destination in Springfield, Oregon. We went back to room that we stayed in last year and unpacked and put our stuff where it went last year. We had pizza and watched a movie before it was time to
We went to disney and stayed at a resort in disney. Then we decided to go to Panama. We weren't planning on going to Panama till the night before we were going home. So we couldn't find a hotel to stay at. So we were driving down there and we stopped at some town to stay the night in between Panama City and Orlando. We couldn't find a hotel within 70 miles so when we finally found one to stay at for the night we didn't even care how nice it was. And it ended up being not too nice because we found some cockroaches. So the next day we made our way up to Panama City. Since we booked the hotel the night before because we weren't planning on going there we had to stay in a hotel that smelled like it had water damage and drugs. We called every hotel on the beach and they all were booked. So we went to the beach and it was hot and the ocean was crystal clear. It seemed like the Jellyfish were screaming for us to pick them up. But the worse part of this whole trip was I forgot to put sunscreen on and you're on the beach and It's hot so I was just asking to get burnt.Later that night this kid at our hotel asked my sister if I was naturally that red because I looked strange. When we stepped on the beach you the waves were crashing onto the beach, surfers hit the wave and have a salt stench on your hands. Even though this vacation was long I made some amazing memories playing at nationals
We do not take in to account how important our vision is, at least I did not. It was not until I
At the beach we did the normal beachy things like swimming, sandcastles, releasing baby sea turtle into the oceans, and watching sea animals in the distance. One morning at like 6 my mom took me to the beach she wouldn't tell me what we were doing. We waited till like 7 then we saw a guy approaching on a four wheeler with a bucket on the back of it. The bucket was full of little baby sea turtles there were almost a hundred of them. We released them into to the ocean it’s still probably the best moment of my life.
It was summer of 2015. My friend Amy and I went to Sarasota, Florida. It was beautiful there. We got off the plane, and the first thing I noticed was the heat. We went inside the giant airport where there was air conditioning. We ate Subway then went to get our luggage. We got our luggage then headed to the beach house.
It was the summer of 1977, and my father decided to pack the station wagon and drive from Fort Worth to Tampa, Florida. Besides my parents in the vehicle, my two sisters and brother also joined us for the long journey. I was young and excited and did not realize the distance my father would be driving on this trip. We made two stops on the way down and the first one was in Mississippi at a Holiday Inn. My first time spending the night the night at a hotel occurred on this vacation, and I was excited. We had adjoining rooms with my parents, and we spent the evening in the pool and watching television all night. I was never aware of my parents’ finances but I know now, we did not have a lot of money. From Mississippi, we stopped again in Tallahassee, Florida and we swam in the ocean during the afternoon and hit the hotel pool in the
