September 11, 2001 is a day Americans will never forget. It was a day that brought shock, anger, disbelief, and sadness to everyone. On that day, thousands of innocent people lost their lives due to an act that was unthinkable. It was the day that the United States of America was attacked by nineteen terrorists part of Al-Qaeda. That day was classified as the worst terrorist attack in America. September 11, 2001 changed America forever: in a way that we were not prepared for.

Many believe that flight was headed for the White House but passengers on board risked their lives in attempt to regain control of the hijacked plane. Unfortunately, all died on that plane but they ended up saving a lot of lives in the process because flight 93 never reached the White House.
The attacks left everyone speechless. All planes were grounded and many buildings were evacuated. Everyone was in fear. Then, at 9:59 am, World Trade Centers South Tower collapses. Debris covered the street and smoke was everywhere. People ran as fast as they could away from the collapsed building in fear of dying. When at 10:28 am the North Tower collapses as well. America could not sit back and let terrorists ruin our country. U.S troops were sent to Afghanistan to destroy their government who was in charge of the terrorist attacks. At 8:00 am, American Airlines Flight 11 left Boston, heading towards Los Angeles. United Airlines Flight 175 left Boston at 8:14 am, going to Los Angeles. At 8:20 am, American Airlines Flight 77 left Washington, headed for Los Angeles. United Airlines Flight 93 left Newark, New Jersey at 8:42 am, headed towards San Francisco.
