I came from the public schools district in Philadelphia, where they didn’t have enough money for books and computers to prepare student for the competitive world. Throughout highschool I have grown as a person. Three words I would use to describe myself as would be friendly, caring, and positive. My mom has always taught me to include everyone in everything. Getting ready to apply to college is a process that started the first day of my freshman year, and there are a lot of things I need to do to pursue my dreams.

I am a dedicated, hardworking student who made a commitment to “Service above Self,” something the Rotary stands for. Attending a college prep charter high school, where extracurricular activities are encouraged, I became an active member of the student council - elected student council president in my junior and senior years, inducted into the National Honor Society, became a member of the InterAct Community Service Club, member of the Dance Team, member of the Media Club, Captain of the Track, Cross-Country and Basketball teams, maintained a 3.9 GPA, and all while playing a key role in organizing social, cultural and community events for the school, and leading group meetings for the various organizations.
