One summer day, me and my sister penelope received a call from my aunt. The call was to ask if we would go to a baseball game. Well of course we agreed, why would we not go to what would be our first game. The date was set, it was a day before Independence day. I was very excited I counted down on my cute marble print planner with a big blue sticker phrased “ seize today”. Finally I’m going to do something for the summer!
Addicks Park Ten is a neighborhood that’s lasted and stayed relatively small for Houstonians who want both the perks of an urban environment and the know-your-neighbor neighborhoods of a small town. For years, Addicks has endured as a refuge for the hard working Houstonians who love those wide open spaces.

As you walk through the front gates of the park you are astounded by the different sights and smells of Huntington Park. As you walk down the tunnel underneath the stadium approaching the dugout your stomach begins to get butterflies in it as everything seems so surreal. The smell of the fresh cut grass in the spring time, the roar of the fans as you walk up the steps of the dugout onto the playing surface and the view of the beautiful field with the Columbus skyline in the background. Here is my sacred space, Carlin Park, which is located in my hometown, Jupiter, Florida! The park features tennis courts where I often practice, a running trail, a delicious restaurant, and of course beautiful beach access to Juno Beach. You can spend an entire day here and never get bored, although many people simply set up a picnic at the many picnic tables or just relax. This place is sacred to me because whenever my life got hectic, I knew I could pack up my car and head over to Carlin Park and spend a couple hours at the beach to clear my head. The space itself is so bright and open since it is right on the water. There is so much to do and appreciate. I had my first cross country meet ever in this park, and I was not even nervous since
Fast forward to the 1940s and another type of musical establishment brought traveling performers to Smithville, Texas in Bastrop County. A nightclub called West End Park was a Texas venue on the Chitlin' Circuit. The Chitlin' Circuit featured African American comedians and blues musicians who traveled from city to city during segregation to perform in theaters and clubs. The Chitlin' Circuit extended from the East, through the Midwest, and the South. It included such prestigious theaters as the Apollo Theater and the Cotton Club in Harlem and such legendary performers as Lena Horne, Ray Charles, Wilson Pickett, Moms Mabley and Redd Foxx. West End Park may not have had the swag of a Cotton Club, but famous performers such as Ruby Jane, T-Bone
As the triumphant arc of George Washington stands proudly in the center of the park it is surrounded by a history of death. One of the surrounding buildings now housing New York University students was once the stage of a tragic fire, the fountain in which the children are playing in lays over mass graves and the large proud elm tree at the northeast corner of the park was once the final destination of those condemned to die. This history is one of sadness but the city of New York and the park itself have been able to overcome this history and become the laugh filled recreation area it is today.
The City of Lafayette wrapped up its Summer "Art in the Park" series Tuesday night. The event was held on Memorial Island in Columbian Park.

I took the streetcar, 512 St.clair, on Monday morning from 9 to 10. This was my first time went to st.Clair. It is the beginning of the week. We took ttc subway to St. clair from Bloor-yonge station. Undoubtedly, it is very crowded on the subway. However, when we took the street car, there are few people on the road or on the bus, as well as only part of the stores have opened. People seems took a slow paced of life. I saw people who carried Gym bags, took their kids to park and old women went to grocery shopping, which is quite different from downtown. Working or living press is relative low here. On the other hand, people wore more casual clothes, most of them wearing for comfortable and keeping warm. I saw restaurants from different countries,
