I have the distinct pleasure of welcoming all of you into the National Honor Society, a group built off of high standards of achievement, not only in the area of academics but also in character and leadership. I congratulate each of you and your parents.

Richard Raines, you are a true homerun hitter my friend! Day in and day out you supported the Marines in the AO with what they needed when they needed; U.S. Marine Corps don't take no for an answer and you embodied that concept . Mickey Medley would know better than me, but I believe you have set a new standard. Your professionalism and work ethic was impressive to watch firsthand.
