Shooter's Warehouse: Business Analysis

All were a lot great ideas during the day of presentations; however there were a few that stood out to me the most that had the most viable business concepts. The first one I will be talking about will be Shooter’s Warehouse. Shooter’s Ware house stood out to me because it was something new and exciting and I never been to or seen anything like it before. But it wasn’t because it was new there was a lot of thought of that really pushed it into being a viable business concept. The team really hit what Kawasaki called the “Sweet Spot”(AOS pg9). It was obvious that members of the team had good expertise and love for the sport of soccer and wanted it to be more relevant in the city of Detroit so they hit that right on the dot. All of the entrepreneurs mentioned in this class had the drive needed to be an expert, have an opportunity and passion to make their idea a success in the real life. Now I am not saying that some of them missed the sweet spot by a mile. But I feel like there were people in different groups that had magnificent ideas but the project was limited to just one idea and those people who had different ideas weren’t able to show the class what they came up with. So they never got the chance to see if they hit the sweet spot or not. And then there are those who were there but didn’t really follow the rules about entrepreneurship mentioned in this class. An example of this would be the guy with the heath app. Kawasaki mentioned in his book that if you are not good with persuading an audience you should have someone else that is better than you do it. The health app pitch to me was kind of boring and could have been way more exciting to listen to if the right person were to make a pitch. So to conclude the ideas, expertise and the opportunity was there; passion was iffy because of the amount of time that was given and execution can most certainly be improved by some of the guest speakers and
