A modern day illegal trade of a human beings forced into labor, reproduction, and prostitution is known as human trafficking. There are different types of human trafficking such as sex trafficking, child labor, and domestic servitude. Human trafficking happens everywhere and everyday, but it continues to go unnoticed by humanity. Traffickers’ reason for committing human trafficking is because of poverty, war, and huge profit. Victims that survive can often suffer short or long-term effects that can impact the rest of their life.
Human trafficking is the same as slavery and violates the right to every human being involved. In 2012, human trafficking was the world’s second largest criminal enterprise that was estimated to be 32 billion dollars.
