As the sun slowly settled, darkness began to overcome the Earth. Sickness had come. The sickness slowly but readily crept into each home. It was the Midnight Theft. The destructive plague stole during midnight it stole lives. Deep in the heart of Tukenasville, people were dying, and the country was beginning to perish. The flowers withered as they bloomed. Animals fled to holes to live out the last moments of their life. People were distraught, and chaos was invading every planet in the macrocosm. People called me Nikolaos Gonzalo. I was the last of the Warriors of Pos. Long ago, the Sisters of Moiré ordained my doomed fate. I tried to bargain with them to change it, but in the end, I captured them and locked them up in a repository on a cliff. I was to lead the expedition to find the cure for the Midnight Theft. That, however, was not the reason I would go on this journey. My best friend, Totem, was dying of a rare illness called Takigifeay. It was causing the slow built up of lactic acid on his bones. I knew that death would come to him soon. Legend spoke about a necklace that can bring life to anyone or thing. Legend said that it have belonged to an Oceanian, one of the water people. The Lost Jade Necklace of Serenity was what it called, and it could bring healing to the Earth. Nonetheless, it could obliterate our civilization.
I began to pack since my journey was to start at that moment. I started going west toward the Moonlight Cave. I was on a dangerous mission, and I
It was dark enough to go outside, so I didn't need to worry about me turning into ashes. I kind a wished I did, but I couldn't guards would look for me and I wouldn't stand a
How long was I out? You wondered. And where am I? You racked your brain for what had happened before you appeared in this strange cave. The only memory that didn’t seem hazy was of you climbing
As I walked home, it was already getting dark and the temperature was dropping rapidly. I pulled my jacket tight around me.
It began to get dark and the sun was beginning to fall so I headed
Walking out, getting away from the noises inside the party house. I suddenly felt tired from everything. Walking towards to a pond located in the
At this point, I felt like I was in a dream or more of a haze. I didn't really understand what was going on. We ran and ran, again with all this running. Finally we stopped right in front of a small cave.
I was left alone with the boulder again, my only helpers some tea and a notebook.
Quickly night comes, after a full day of traveling towards their next destination which was a small village only a few miles away from Jason’s barn. As they begin to set up camp for the night the moon begins to rise lighting up the area just enough so Jason and Rose are able to see. After completing their shelter they had started to roast some food over an open fire, as Jason began eating his food he started to think about his home again. Even though he had only been gone for a day he missed the place, the fresh air, the open plains, the green grass, and everything else he missed home. Where he was safe and secure, but now he wasn’t, now he was in the open danger lurking everywhere and everyplace he hated it, he feared it! A few hours later,
As I got deeper into the woods the song got louder. I increased my pace, itching with anticipation. There was a light in the distance growing brighter as I made my way toward my destination.
A single event can alter the way we live our lives in many ways. In life we should always think critically of a situation no matter how harmless it seems. We may choose to see this life changing experience through an individual influencing you, getting a taste of reality, or not understanding social structure. Individuals can have a strong influence on how we criticize others. Getting influenced by a certain individual can alter a single event our lives significantly.
While we were shouting at each other, a faint sound of footsteps were getting closer and closer to us. Luminous dragged me towards the back door and gave me the signal to slowly stand
A cold rush of wind hit you as you walked out of the tent, wrapping the blanket tighter around you to keep warm. Your confusion as to where Bellamy went off to died off as soon as you spotted
I heard beeping outside, and dashed right out the door. My team mates drove to Morton west, where we would meet the rest of the team.
Just recently, a Target store in Escondido, California faced a lawsuit involving an 83-year-old woman tripping over an unattended ladder and fracturing her hip. This incident is a perfect example of stores having the liability of its customers “slipping and falling.” A slip and fall incident can happen in any location. Many incidents have involved a customer slipping and injuring himself/herself in a grocery store from a wet and slippery floor. However, it could even happen when you have friends over. It can be very difficult to know who’s at fault for any slip and fall incident. Just annually, thousands and thousands of people are seriously injured, or worse, when slipping and falling from on any kind of debris that can become dangerous
No normative theories are present where the single focus is based on the act itself – but to focus on the consequences, motive and situation of the perpetrator. It would be stupid to focus on the act itself – an example of a burglar will exemplify this. Take Robert to go out one night and burgle a wealthy individual – Robert being wealthy himself and commits the act due to jealousy. Bill on the other hand decides to burgle a wealthy individual on the same night that has excessive amounts of money in order to provide food to his family, as Bill is extremely poor. In the example, both parties commit the same act of ‘burglary’ – with most theories stating that Bill acted morally and Robert did not. When we decide whether the ‘act’ being the same
