My short term academic goal with research is to continue working on my project in Dr. Ferreira's lab for the investigation of the photoredox catalysis and complete the Honors thesis CHEM 4990H. I was fortunate to receive the assistantship in the past, which freed me to dedicate a significantly more amount of time, including spending time on the research on weekends as well. The assistantship would enable me to continue to dedicate the same amount of time in order to complete the rigorous Honors thesis course as I complete my time here at the university. I have been able to make significant strides on the research by expanding the substrate scope of the chemistry. As a student who is limited in time by financial restrictions, I would be liberated
This semester, I want to improve my vocabulary. I believe that I have very strong ideas, but I do not always have the right words to emphasize my message. I would also like to work on creating better flow in my writing; as mentioned in class, it is common for writers to start with an idea and continue on a tangent that does not always relate to the main idea. My third goal for this semester is to elaborate more on my ideas. I feel like the papers I have written in the past are good, but I could have explained myself further and received more points on my papers.
An experience in a biomedical research will help me to succeed in my long-term educational goals. My long-term goal is to attend a MD-PHD program at a Medical School. As a scientist, I would like to study the genetics of disease causing organisms and human genetics. Currently, I am studying Biochemistry at the University of Maryland, which I think will equip me with a knowledge of human biochemistry. However, since undergraduate schools mainly focus on theoretical not the practical application of most subjects, I need to participate in a hands on research project over the summer because It will give me an opportunity to apply my knowledge in a laboratory. This is when the summer research program at the University of Maryland school of medicine
Ever since I was young, I was exposed to a Historically Black College or University, Jackson State University. I had always went to activities and functions such as football games, summer programs, and other special events. I did not know whether I would attend a historically Black College or University (HBCU) or not at the time. I had finally decided to go to a HBCU, and I would attend Tougaloo College in the fall to further my education. I have many goals and objectives for pursing my educational experience at a historically Black College, and I plan to achieve them.

As a prospective Biology major and Veterinarian, I hope to gain experience working with plants and animals in the field of Biology and consider internships with veterinarians. I plan to put my experience and qualifications to use by applying for an accredited veterinary college. Upon acceptance, I will strive towards earning a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM). If I do not gain acceptance into a veterinary medicine program, then I will steer myself more towards the forensic science fields. A degree and certification in veterinary medicine is appealing and preferable to me. However, to keep my options open, the field of forensic science and crime scene investigations will serve as
Life is a continual learning process, which requires a strong method to develop better ways of apprenticeship. Personally, being able to obtain a higher education gives me an opportunity to be better in many ways. Everyone should have any personal goals in life in order to survive, prosper and succeed in every journey that life gives. A long term educational goal for me was going back to school after 4 years and a second child. I kept putting it off for months and months .I was extremely intimidated due to the fact that I had two kids to support and; I would only be able to work part time. Finally I had to drive to greenwood to see the dermatologist and I said that would be the day I go to Kaplan. To make sure I reached my goal I started by cutting down my work hours and keeping in touch with my advisor. My goals were achieved after a month and I was proud it made me feel like I could achieve anything as long as I put my mind to it.
My academic goal is to graduate Argosy University with a bachelors degree in Forensic Psychology in three years time. Forensic Psychology is the study of the criminal mind, in a nutshell. The main motivation to achieve this goal would be intrinsic. I love asking questions and knowing the answers as to why people do what they do, and in a criminals case, what led them to committing the crime. This goal, however, may have some extrinsic motivation as well. Being knowledgeable about certain behaviors that criminals poses may help solve or even prevent a crime. In addition, having a degree will help open different paths in life, ones that may present me with greater job opportunities. My attitude toward the learning process will help my achievement of each goal because I am eager, determined and motivated. My greatest desire is to succeed in life, and obtaining an education is one thing I know will help me. I perhaps will need to make some adjustments along my journey. I do not know yet if I will find another educational path that intrigues me the most. For now, I do not feel that any adjustments need to be made.
My future academic goals for junior high is to promote as a CJSF member and to earn a GPA of a 3.5 or above. During my two years of Washington I want to remain in the AVID program. As a high school student I want to maintain a GPA of a 3.5 or higher as well. For my four years in high school, I would like to also be an AVID member. As I graduate from high school, I would like to graduate as an honor student. After high school, I would like to attend the Colorado State University. In the University of Colorado
After two full weeks of college I have quickly learned that college is very stressful and if I want to be successful I need to learn how to set practical goals and acquire necessary tactics to accomplish each goal in the given amount of time. An obvious goal as a working adult returning to school is, of course, to earn a degree. My overall goal is no different than any other student, however, I also have several personal goals I hope to achieve while attending the University. Some of these goals are to acquire new skills and enhance my current business abilities, to apply what I learn in the classroom to forward my career, and to feel personal satisfaction of finishing something I started.
My personal long term goal is to go back to my country of Haiti and offer my assistance to those who have experienced and still experience the hardships and tragedies which the country has undergone. When I left home and came to the United States, I came with a high school diploma but could speak no English. As a single mother, I raised my four sons, worked, and went to school. With the help of scholarships and financial aid, I obtained an Associate Degree in Nursing. I want to “pay it forward”, as they say, and give back to my country so that others could receive the same opportunity as I did. This long term personal goal will be greatly influenced by finances. Therefore, one of the milestones to achieving this goal is tied into my professional goals (both long and short term). I will need to acquire one of those more stable positions at one of the area hospitals and I will have to be working there for at least a few years before I would feel comfortable enough to ask for time to return to my country to assist. This is where a timeline
Everyone should have personal goals that evolve around anything that needs to be accomplished. I set goals on a daily basis. One goal that I seem to have not truly focused on has been my college education. Considering all things, I decided I needed to focus on my college education. The first thing I needed to accomplish was to enroll in an institution for higher learning. Now that my enrollment is complete, I am an official student at the University enrolled in the undergraduate program for business management. As a student at the university, I now have to set personal goals so that I will be successful in my endeavors. My personal goals are to gain personal growth and development and graduate from my undergraduate program in business
