My first top short term goal is to survive basic training and be the top of my class. I plan on reaching this goal by being mentally and physically prepared in what I may encounter and this also includes following orders from a drill sergeant or any sergeant in general some roadblocks I may encounter is my mind set or people around telling me to give up and just quit when situations get stressful in basic training. My second short term goal is to transform my body to look and feel better of myself, I plan on reaching this goal by working out every day, eating healthy and not give up. Some road blocks I might encounter is again people doubting me telling me I can’t do it and temptations of eating junk food around me. My last short term goal

This trait is integrally connected to other servant leader traits like persuasion, foresight, stewardship, and even self-awareness (Spahr, 2015; Spears, 2010), and without proper development of conceptualization, my other servant leader traits will also suffer from underdevelopment.
One of the proudest moments of my life is graduating with my Bachelor’s degree in social work. I’m the first in my family to do so, and I am going to go further in my education by pursuing a Master’s degree in social work. The main reason why I am pursuing a Master’s degree is because it will give me more options than a Bachelor’s degree would ever give me. Additionally, it will give me the opportunity for job stability since most employment prospects is requiring a Master’s degree to get hired. My long term goal is to work in the VA hospital. Working at the VA hospital has many benefits and job stability. Getting employed at the VA hospital has been a goal of mine since I first started my social work courses. And a Master’s degree is the
Organizations, groups, churches, etc. all have a vision and mission. As a graduate student, I have come up with a vision and mission statement that are motivational in my success. I know that the sky is the limit when it comes to nursing fields but I have a sincere interest in mental health. I thoroughly enjoyed my clinical day at the Pavilion although I did recognize that the Nurses spend a lot of time charting which depleted my interest a bit. However, I do know that you can work in other settings I can work in especially if I continue my education to a master’s or doctoral level. Becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (PMH-APRN) would allow me to prescribe certain medications (depending on the state’s law I live in) and administering psychotherapy. (American Psychiatric Nurses Association, 2015) However, these are potential long-term goals! Let’s talk about short-term.
By the end of my senior year, my main priority, like any other senior, is to wear my cap and gown, walk across the stage, and receive my high school diploma. To accomplish this goal, I must continue excelling in school with all A’s and maintaining my diligent study skills. I also need to take as many dual enrollment courses at Clayton State University as possible in order to shorten my time in college. After graduating, the next leading goal is to get accepted into either Emory University or University of Georgia, but preferably Emory. Should Emory accept me, then I definitely need to apply to and receive scholarships like Gates Millennium and Zell Miller, for example. In addition, I desire to preserve my current rank as the salutatorian. Perhaps if I persevere more, then I could possibly graduate as the valedictorian. To do this, I can always study harder and receive tutoring about topics I do not completely comprehend. Also, somewhere along the lines, I hope that can obtain a job as a

In conclusion if I am blessed with a scholarship the extra money will help my family and I financially, and I will have
One of the most important key factors to succeeding throughout your life is creating goals for yourself. Some goals are short-term that can be accomplished within a year, while others are long term goals that you work for over a long period of time. Majority of the goals that I have set for myself require hard word, dedication, and planning. To achieve the goals that I have set for myself, I attend an institution that drives my creative mind in a direction that will bring prosperity and achievement. Receiving an education from Spelman college has enabled me to become a critical thinker in a society that is diverse. The three main goals that I have set for myself are based upon ways I can strive in my academic journey, personal life, and
