Humane Society’s all over our nation get 1,500 to 1,600 Pit Bulls every year and only 2 out of 10 find a home, the rest is put down. We all think Pit Bulls are the world’s most aggressive dog breed from the stories media tells about them. This leads to ban laws all over our nation, aggression is the cause of the laws, even though it’s not the dogs fault it’s the poor decisions of the owners. When will Pit Bulls be happy? Is it when they are gone and no longer loved? People should be allowed to own Pit Bulls.

Believe it or not, Pit bulls can be good dogs. They can be good rescuers or they can be dangerous. It all depends on who they are raised by. If they are raised by a loveable family they will most likely be a good dog, if they are raised by a bad family the most likely not be a bad dog.

There is a myth about how pit bulls can not be trained. This is false; it’s actually been proven that they are one of the easiest to train because of their intelligence, loyalty and focus. They put all their heart and energy into everything they do, so that energy they have can easily be redirected into training. “As intelligent domesticated animals, dogs require mental stimulation and most enjoy being trained.” This shows that it could be fun to own a pitbull because they can be kind of like a sidekick to the owner.
