The Amendments are the rights to bear arms, Quartering troops in homes, and search and seizures. The Right to bear arms is something that there is mixed emotions about the subject. Some people believe some people should have the right to bear arms for protection reasons and for hunting. Then there are the people who think people should have guns unless they have history with guns, or have a mental disorder. Last but certainly not least the people who despise guns. They believe nobody should own any type of guns or weapon. The Bill of Rights protects people's right to own a gun. But there are something that they had to add that the Bill of Rights does not include such as have a conceal and carry license, or an open carry license and you cannot
The Bill of Rights is a very important part of The Constitution of the United States of America. Among the amendments in The Constitution is the second amendment, the right to bear arms. The second amendment is,“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” (U.S.). That's about all most people know about the second amendment. When it was written and who wrote and supports it are very important things to know about the amendment.
The second amendment grants the right to bear arms. This is one of the big things that the new american people wanted to have as an american citizen. The american people felt it was absolutely vital that this law be in place especially since most of there food came from hunting and to hunt the usually used guns. Without this right many businesses at the time would not be able to keep themselves going and many families would not be able to survive. This right at the time was one of the best in the minds of the american people allowing them to own their own firearm. Not only did this right give people to own a firearm but also it gave them the right to create a well regulated militia in order to protect the security of the state. This allows the people to form their own militia and rise up
Kids always try to get their hands on a Nerf or airsoft gun. But imagine if people HAD to bear arms in the US. People get shot all of the time, and that is one of the major reasons why this law should be passed. Also, guns are popular, with people going paintballing and kids playing with Nerf guns. But the only problem would be that if weapons are distributed into the wrong hands, heck could break loose. This law should be passed because is for the better.
Have you ever had a life threatening situation? I will prove having the right to Bear Arms can be a lifesaver. I use guns in my life when I hunt or if something were to happen I could protect my family. I use guns hunting like if we need more food because our money is tight i can use guns to go hunt and whatever game I get my family and I will eat it. Someone attacks my family i can also use a gun to shoot or scare the attackers off. Someone who attacks me when I am walking to my car on a late night i can also use them to protect myself. Altho people may use them to harm others there always more good than bad.
What subject did I choose for this bill project? I chose gun control. I chose it because I thought it would be a good subject to do, and I think it's important that we have it. I also think it should be one of the top priorities for this country. Now don't get me wrong, I love that we have right to bear arms, I just think we should be cracking down a little bit more on gun control in bigger cities. One last thing is we should be making sure that not all people with guns have bad intentions and the gun is not the one who pulled the trigger.
The government is trying to take away our rights as Americans to Bare arms which is our second amendment given us the ability to defend ourselves against others trying to take away our God given rights because in the near future our government plans on turning on us and taking over America as a totalitarian government and by doing so they don't want anyone to be able to defend themselves the first thing hitler and the nazis did was take everyone's guns away to make it that much easier now that's what the government. Open up your eyes America and see the danger around you and start to think who we put into the White House to lead our country. The banning of our guns represents that the government fears us and doesn't want us to be able to defend
Our second amendment right is something that I feel that most Americans would go to war over. I never grew up around guns, I have never held a gun, or discharged a gun. More importantly, I have never used a gun to protect me, my property or my family. This is why I fail to see the fascination people have with the right to own a gun, especially military grade firearms like assault rifles. “Assault rifles were designed to kill people and have no legitimate civilian purpose.” (Infobased Learning 2008) So why then is ok for every ordinary Joe over the age of 21 with a permit to own one. Statistically speaking one in every three people in the U.S. own at least one firearm, and of those 48% own four or more firearms. In the past 40 years the percentage of gun ownership has gone from forty-seven percent to thirty-four percent. But guns do serve other purposes like protection and safety.
The American Constitution was a book of laws that gave a brief explanation of the American Dream. In the Constitution, there were ten laws that were considered the “Civil Rights,” and one of these laws laid commonly questioned and tested. The second Amendment of the Constitution: the right to bear arms was a very significant law in the American Constitution, since it has two sides of opinion. Many Americans consider that people should not have the right to bear arms, while the other party believed that America could be considerably safer if this law was ratified. Which party was factual?
Are the lives of Americans more important than the right to bear arms? As stated in the constitution, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”Drafted by the Founding Fathers, the amendment guarantees that all Americans have the right to bear arms. Trying to change the words in the constitution seem impossible that being the founding fathers words are basically irrefutable. Since each American has different ideals, the issue to gun control divides the nation. However, the Second Amendment must be banned due to high homicide rates, terrorism, and mass shootings.
“The Second Amendment isn’t there for duck hunting, its there to protect us from tyrannical government and street thugs,” states the British journalist Piers Morgan. When the United States Constitution it wasn’t put into place so people can hunt or participate in shooting games, it was so we didn’t give the government too much power. Putting a law about gun control into place will give the government the power it needs to turn into a tyranny and us the people wouldn’t have any way to protect ourselves. If we were to allow the government to place a law restricting the ability to bear arms we would be sacrificing things like our self-defense, the right to hunt and sport shooting, and finally
The Second Amendment is one of the most highlighted amendments that americans have seem to protect and fight for many years since its first coming. The right to bare arms as too many is a given right by birth. One that many love and strive for to keep in our lives. With this being said laws and bans have been put down on the control of guns in many states and across the globe in occurrence to many gun related violences. controlling the guns can only bring us to be more afraid of guns and not see what's the real problem here the laws need to be put on question again and looked back over the strictness to which they have placed on our society.
The first ten amendments make up the Bill of Rights. The Bill of Rights was written to protect people and their individual liberties. The Bill of Rights actually limits the governments power. That is why such congress men and women disagree with large government and questions if our civil liberties are being threatened. The Bill of Rights is important today because it allows people to follow whatever religion they want and do not have to feel like a criminal doing it. People are able to speak their mind with freedom of speech and voice their opinion and use that voice to try to bring change. The right to bear arms is a highly contested amendment now because of the amount of mass shootings that have been taking place.
In the American Constitution it is expressly stated that “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” However, due to recent tragedy, many groups advocating gun control have called that amendment into question. These groups question, not only the amendment itself, but the provisions of this amendment and the broadness of its terms. Reformers call for action to be taken and laws to be changed, but it could be argued that the power lies in the states, not the federal government, to make those changes.
The “right to bear arms” should be granted to people only who are in need for protection. Guns are simply taking lives of innocent people and the judges should take that into consideration. “From 2014 to 2015, the homicide rate in the district increased 54 percent (Vogue)”. This has to be stopped, crime rates are dramatically increasing in the United States. Guns are being used more frequently for violence than they are being used for protection. “Hillary Clinton has advocated for stronger rights (Vogue)”. Gun rights is major and growing concern to the extent where it has traveled into presidential campaigns. Lives of people should have more value than the second amendment. The Bill of Rights were created to protect the people, however if there
One American Ideal that is essential to our Democracy is the right to bear arms. This principle comes from the Second Amendment, which states, “A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” This is one of the most important right because it keeps the government from becoming a dictatorship or tyranny. With this right the people of the United States have the right to protect themselves. This amendment, keeps the government from taking our rights because we can revolt. Throughout history people have gone through times of being unarmed when the government or a higher power is trying to take over. The example is during the American Revolution when
