Schools have had after-school activities for decades, but this has made too difficult for many students to finish their work. Therefore, sports should be removed to increase the ability to save money, improve grades, and give kids the opportunity to pay more attention in class.

After school sports are a big thing in America. Although students cherish these activities; numerous studies have shown that students get better grades if they drop out of sports. Therefore, schools should get rid of after-school sports because they are expensive, students will get better grades, and athletics is a distraction from school work.

At the end of a long, stressful day at school, you look out to the field where you will soon be with your friends, enjoying the sun on your skin and working off the stress of your cooped up day at school, with your favorite sport, of course. The article “Should Your School Get Rid of School Sports?” has two very strong point of views. Part one, “Yes! It’s Time to Scale Back” by Amanda Ripley argues that we should get rid of school sports. However, part two, “No! Sports Are More Important Than Ever” by Tim O’Shei argues that we should keep school sports. School sports can be expensive, but there are many more benefits and reasons for having sports at school than getting rid of them.

Schools should eliminate sports because academics will increase. 80% of students passed there when sports were banned compared to 50% last fall. Also, More than 20 nations have a better gradation rate than America. Amanda Ripley from scholastic scope says” During football season in particular, focus shifts away from learning. Players speed long hours practicing and the commitment extends to the rest of the school.” One time a student sifts his/her learning way from class or a student turned in his/her paper late can have lifelong consequences. These actions have to lead to schools to ban sports from school.

Every year, thousands of kids move to the United States from all over the world. Something that constantly surprises them is, sports are a big deal in American schools. But some schools are taking away sports. Schools should get rid of sports.

Without sports America's schools would shatter in boredom and stress. Kids feel sports help their health and grades, parents agree with most of them. However schools think sports will cause academic failures. If sports disappear America's students will get stressed and stress results in academic failure. All schools should have sports programs because they relieve stress on kids, they help lots of kids score higher on tests, and they keep kids happy and healthy.

America has high school sports for many reasons. One sports allows young individuals to practice life lessons, sportsmanship,and allows kids to work on there social skills as well. Sports allow students to practice time management, character building and for many the high school athlete is also one of your higher academic students as well. Now this is not always the case , but for the most part kids who are involved in sports have to be responsible for academics in order to particpate . I think having good teachers and being able to fund good teachers has to be a priority. I am not sure what the principle did would work everywhere

Therefore, schools should not have sports because kids can prevent distractions, schools could save a great deal of money, students can have more time to learn.

For many years, people have debated about the importance of keeping sports in academic environments, or getting rid of them. Athletic activities have always been in U.S schools, but getting rid of them could allow kids to focus on their studies and increase their academic skill. Therefore, sports should be discarded in academic institutions to save money, allow more time for kids to study, and have additional activities available to students.

Today, majority of kids mainly focus on doing their absolute best academically, and they also enjoy after school sports. Though some students are doing great in school; many do not have the time to do homework because of these activities. Therefore, schools should get rid of extra curricular sports because they will save money, it boosts testing scores, and it allows students’ to focus on work.

To begin, school sports should be cut because they have a negative impact on academics. In Premont Independent School District sports were cut to improve grades. After a semester without sports the passing rate increased from 50% to 80%. As well, 100 more people attended the conferences (Amanda Ripley). Cutting sports improved grades greatly and it got more people involved in the school.

You are being held to tougher academic standards-and so is your school.The stress can get so intense,it feels paralyzing.That's why schools should keep their sports because school sports help improve academics, students have better grades on tests.
