The Flash Vs Quicksilver People always have debates about whether Marvel Or DC is a better and who has the better superheroes. Both comic book companies have had great superheroes, and some are better than others. The Flash and Quicksilver both have similarities but they also have many differences. A lot of factors go into deciding what makes a superhero better than another, including things like their origin story, their powers, and their villains. The origin story of a superhero can also tell us why they became a superhero. The Flash, Barry Allen, was a forensic scientist who was working late in his lab, which was the same night that a particle accelerator went off and exploded. The combination of the particle accelerator explosion, chemicals in the lab, and the bolt of lightning that struck Barry Allen; He was able to travel at amazing speeds. This only describes the process of how he got his powers but his drive to use these powers for good was something that happened to him as a child. When Barry was nine years old he witnesses the …show more content…
The main similarity they both poses is they can run at superhuman speeds. Although, one of them is slightly faster than the other their powers allow them to do similar things like running up buildings and across the water. They are both able to resist the air friction, reduced oxygen and kinetic impact they face when they run at super speeds. Another similarity both poses is their increased healing and fast metabolism, with their rapid healing factor they can take a hit which comes in hand for them in battle. Both of these heroes are also part of teams who help each other in battle. The Flash is in the Justice League consisting or Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Green Arrow and many others, and Quicksilver is in the Avengers who is made up primarily of Iron Man, Captain America, Hawkeye, and Black
All of us dream to one day be as fast as the Flash or to be as strong as Superman. Superheroes are a part of our lives. According to the infographic; “Box office Revenues: Superhero Movies 1978-2017” every year millions of dollars are spent on superhero movies, they are widely popular due to the fact that we can look up to them as someone that we would want to be. Even though they might be very different from us, there always is a human side to them which causes us to relate to them and laugh. Superheroes are so popular in our American culture due to how we are inspired to overcome obstacles in life and learn lessons from them. Ever since 9-11 many people looked for an escape from the tragedy which occured on 9-11. Superheroes were the escape,
When someone thinks of a superhero, they think of someone that is strong and immortal. Someone that can’t be defeated yet, they go into battle with as much bravery as someone that goes into battle knowing they CAN be defeated. Every superhero has traits that make them great, but they also differ in many things as well. Although Captain America and Beowulf are similar in their weaknesses, strengths, and bravery, they also differ in their motivations, character traits, and heroics, making Captain America the better hero.
Superheroes are unique and have abilities to do things that ordinary people cannot. A superhero does not have to have physical abilities. A superhero is a overall strong individual, whether their strength is mental or physical. Superheroes are unique and can vary in abilities. Beowulf is a superhero like the well known superheroes in television. Beowulf has similar characteristics to Incredible Hulk, Superman, and Spider-Man. Although Beowulf shares many characteristics, he also has many that makes him unique. Beowulf is strong like Incredible Hulk, but does not hurt anyone unless necessary. Beowulf is brave like Superman, although he is not as big. Lastly, Beowulf is daring like Spider-Man, even though he cannot shoot webs from his
Barry has his own team when being the city vigilante, his friends each have their own natural abilities. His main team consist of Dr. Caitlin Snow, Cisco Ramon, Dr. Harrison Wells, each person helps the Flash by using their knowledge. For example, Dr. Snow is a bio-engineer, Cisco is a mechanical engineer, and Dr. Wells is a scientist. Dr. Snow helps Barry by studying his abilities and their impact on his body, she solves biological issues that can harm him. As a mechanical engineer, Cisco creates devices that help and protect the Flash, he has created the Flash’s suit which has incredible abilities. Dr. Wells is another member of the Flash’s team, he also study’s Barry’s abilities and focuses on how to improve them. The team helps Barry solve crime in the city by combining their abilities to find the safest and most efficient way for the Flash to defeat an enemy. With their reasoning the Flash not only protects his city, but also
Both Marvel and DC have their collection of heroes and villains. The only heroes and villains that will be compared are ones with near god-like abilities. Superman is one of these god-like heroes from the DC universe. He has the ability to fly, super strength, near invincibility, super speed, and laser vision. Although he was killed in the events of Batman V Superman, he was revived in the events of Justice League. Superman could destroy tanks, planes and other enemies with relative ease. His comparative hero from the Marvel universe is Thor. Although Thor cannot fly without his hammer, he has the ability to call down lightning, super strength and immortality. Thor did lose his eye in the events of Thor: Ragnarok,
What makes us want to watch super heroes? Why do we think them as super-heroes? In films, We follow their battles and their struggles, as we hope they would come out victorious, we actually know they will never lose. The movies now not only target the young
The most well known Superheroes from the DC universe are probably Batman and Superman. Many times, hardcore DC comic book fans dispute over who the better superhero is. Many like Batman for his gadgets and others for his looks, while others like Superman for his powers and abilities. I would personally say that Superman is the more capable and better Superhero.
In the case of superheroes, they have the upper hand due to the fact of their powers or superpowers. Most of the superheroes have one power, but there are a few exceptions to this such as: Superman, Wonder Woman, and Spiderman. Usually superheroes gain their powers from an accident or their powers are hereditary. On the other hand, some are born with mutations in their genetic code that allow them to do some things most people cannot. The superheroes usually have one main villain or supervillain the just never seems to leave them alone. Some examples
In the world of the Flash, the protagonist is Barry Allen, who moreover is white in both the comics and the show and is aided in his mission to protect his city with the aid of his friends. One is a white, female scientist who holds multiple doctorates named Caitlin while the other is a latino, genius engineer
To start we need to look at the original speedster Jay Garrick. Jay was the first Flash and the only one to not wear a mask. In his original comic appearance he was the only Flash in existence but when DC Comics came out with Barry Allen he was sadly forgotten for a short time. After Barry started to gain popularity they had to find someway to work Jay back into the main story. It was eventually shown that he lived on an alternative world and that speedsters could cross back and forth to help each other (“Flash”). He is usually recognized by his signature metal winged helmet that has been around since the golden age of comics. Since it has been shown in the comics that he is slower than Barry Allen he is automatically out of the race.
But are they really? Of course not. Regardless of how great the two corporations are, a decision on who is best must be made. And it is obvious that the throne belongs to DC. Marvel is an impeccable rival; however, it needs a little work in the areas of character fluidity and getting complete international attention. All around DC is intriguing to any fan of comics who watches. The background story of the characters emotionally traps readers and viewers alike, the influence of its characters on real life people is obvious through reviews and expectations, and the audience's intake around the world is more favorable towards DC. In fact, when just searching the word “superhero” on Google, the definition states “benevolent fictional character with superhuman powers, such as Superman”. It contains the most popular and best known DC character Superman! Taking the poll outside of my own personal opinion I asked a handful of people who they felt was the better company. A middle aged woman reported that “DC has won me over because the new Batman vs Superman movie made me cry!” A peer of mine suggests that Marvel is better due to the “looks of the characters and their charisma”. However, my favorite response (maybe because I am biased) “DC is better because the connection between the viewers and the characters is real. It’s just too real.” The intake of these responses only sealed my opinion in believing that DC
With the introduction of Flashpoint, the upcoming The Flash season 3 still holds questions. It is already known that an alternate time line will take place since Grant Gustin, who plays Barry Allen, changes the time line during the season 2 episode finale.
When you think of a superhero one normally thinks of Spiderman, Batman, or Superman, but there were superheroes long before these characters were created. First one must understand that the basis of this name is hero. What is a hero? A hero is a person who does something special or out of the ordinary in order to help others. It could also be someone who is admired for a characteristic about them, be it physical or mental. They are individuals that normal everyday people can look up to. This being the case, a superhero is nothing more then someone who is a hero, but not just that once and for that one person, but someone who helps many people, or leads them. As time went by the number of people who were true heroes diminished and just
Wally West’s super power is the best. Erin Parisien from screen rant wrote, “Using his abilities to run at, and sometimes beyond, the speed of light, The Flash is able to also move through time.” First, Wally is so fast that he can time travel. There were no other superheroes that could time travel at the time besides the other flash’s. The article 15 Powers You Didn’t Know The Flash Has, “A bonus of being able to harvest the speed force is that it speeds up everything in the body, including the ability to heal.”Next, Wally has rapid healing. Wally’s power of rapid healing come in handy when things get rough. This is something the likes of Batman and Spiderman Didn’t have.In the text of The Flash: 15 Things Wally West Can Do That Barry Allen Can’t it says, “ But he was able to do it using wormholes, not by simply using his
Courage, selflessness, and devotion, are few of the qualities that a hero may possess. These qualities are evidently found in Oliver Queen, also known as the “Arrow,” and Barry Allen, also known as the “Flash.” These two fictional characters possess those heroism qualities, in putting their lives in danger, to protect the people in their city, and fight against their enemies. For example, Oliver goes out of his way to protect the people of Starling City, and Barry goes out of his way to protect the people in Central City. Nevertheless, they sometimes come together to join forces in helping each other out. They are vigilantes, meaning they prevent and stop crime, and protect, without having the legal authority to do so. They both wear a disguise to hide their identity from the world. Oliver wears a dark green jacket with a hood, and pants, and a green mask covering his eyes, and Barry wears a red one-piece with a lightning bolt on it, and a mask covering his whole face. Although they are quite similar, they are different in many aspects. For instance, Oliver uses martial arts and a bow with arrows to defeat his enemies, while Barry uses his speed and ability to control time, to defeat his enemies and fight crime. Oliver and Barry share qualities of courage, selflessness, and devotion because of their movement and hunger to protect the people in their cities, while having few differences such as their personalities.
