Happiness is something we are all entitled to, and even though some people might not admit that happiness is the true purpose of life, we all naturally spend our life time making efforts trying to find happiness. People have different definitions for what they classify as being happy, for some it 's acquiring a fast convertible car, buying a house or traveling to exotic places all over the world. Bottom line true happiness has nothing to do with material things or our environment, but finding happiness that is genuine begins from within us. All the happiness that we need is within us already we just need to find a way to connect with it so that we can experience it in our daily lives. When you discover how to harness the true happiness that exists within you, you will surely radiate in all areas of your life and even people around you will start noticing how your nature transforms to a happy one.
Most people feel they fail to reach the level of happiness they desire when they don 't reach their goals or when they don 't acquire the material things they perceived will bring
As human beings we are very diverse. We vary from numerous backgrounds, ethnicities, morals, and cultures. However, as much as we are unique, we all share one common goal in life. Everyone has a desire for happiness. I found that throughout my daily life I based my decision off of what would make me happy, whether it was for a long or short period of time. Often happiness is associated with successfulness and achievement. Though, like the saying, “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure”, happiness can be found in different ways by different people. This along with reading The Driest Season by Meghan Kenny, is what influenced me to want to find out more about happiness, if it is truly attainable, and how people achieve it.

Of course that’s true, the feeling of happiness is what it’s scientifically defined as, but happiness is much more than that. Happiness cannot be reached when it is being searched for, it can only be achieved by focusing on things other than your own happiness.

Happiness is not a strange term to us. We usually use that word to express our feelings in every day. Additionally, more than a word, “happiness” is what we really need and always seek in life. However, finding and understanding deeply its meaning is not easy. The online dictionary, “vocabulary.com” defines, “Happiness is a sense of well-being, joy, or contentment. When people are successful, or safe, or lucky, they feel happiness.” Thus, we always wonder if we are happy or how could we be happier in our life. Happiness, therefore, becomes a goal for everybody.
As humans, it is our natural instinct to pursue happiness. Many people search for different ways to live a happier life. Some find joy in helping others, while others resort to materialism in order to feel happy. Interestingly enough, a research from Buffalo University and Northwestern University reveals that as people age, they tend to become happier and more satisfied with their lives. Study shows that our perception of happiness differ based on our genetics, culture, social status, and many other essential factors.
