Fat is often labeled as the reason for obesity however it seems like there is sufficient proof that fat in itself does not cause weight gain. In 1977, the Senate Select Committee on Nutrition and Human Needs recommended a dietary guideline that limited fat intake to no more than 30% per day. According to statistics, the instances of obesity started to increase around the same time fat was villanized and low-fat products became more popular. Furthermore, similar studies claim that the "war" on fat led people to substitute butter and lard with processed low-fat food which are high in artificial flavoring and sugar.
More and more health enthusiasts are learning that not all fat is bad for the body. In fact, recently Dr. Jonny Bowden and Dr. Steven Masley, a nutrition experts, published their book entitled "Smart Fat," which details the benefits of consuming the right kind of fat to losing weight.

He explained that Masley have seen firsthand what fat deprivation does to the body and according to him, it is not good.
He further explains that their "Smart Fat" diet plan has one basic principle - five portions of smart fat, five portions of clean proteins and 10 servings of fiber. He claims that most of the pitfalls of people who embrark on a high-fat, low-carb diet is not including enough fiber in their meal plan. According to the doctor, fiber helps in the weight loss process and it prevents diabetes and heart disease.
The doctor was quick to explain that more than diet there are many more factors that affect weight loss. However he seemed more than certain that his fat-laden diet is key to losing weight in the healthiest
I have recently read a book, named What’s Wrong with Fat. This excellent book was written by Abigail C. Saguy, an Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of California, Los Angeles and published by Oxford University Press. Here are some questions and their corresponding answers about this book.
He stated that people this subject tends to strike a nerve with people because they tend defend their natural decision. That follows with the pros that line up with obesity being a disease, six pros as to why it’s a disease comes in 3 criterias: 1.Impairment of one’s normal life functions being able to physical move about.2.characteristics, breathing, and active levels as well energy.Mobidity. The human body organs can only take so much weight until the system starts to suffer and take an alternative to shut down. The second pro, as Dr.Nahmias spoke about is impairment of the body’s functions which have a breakdown of what takes place. The leptins become excessive which is body fat, now how one becomes obese is dominated from the excessive body fat this tissue than runs as overproduction of leptin which as control over the intake of one’s energy as well food it acts as our inside mediator but after the intake of food over passes due to lack of energy, abnormal regulations get out of balance that sums up obesity. Obesity as we know takes a toll on the body but joint wise puts are knees, hips and joints at risk due to the weight change. Another risk factor that can take place is sexual health for men and women, obesity lowers men’s sperm count and for women, it leads to infertility and miscarriages. To add on
Knowing the causes to obesity are important. Some causes of obesity are thought of off the bat. But some causes aren’t all that well known. Researchers have found many causes to the obesity epidemic in the U.S. Two main causes to obesity are added sugars/processed foods and genetics, specifically with one’s parents and grandparents. The last cause of obesity is the American government. Many citizens of the U.S think that all sugar is bad. This statement is not true. As stated in http://www.vox.com/science-and-health/2017/1/13/14219606/sugar-intake-dietary-nutrition-science “ Sugar is in so many of the foods we eat. It’s loaded into our granola and our juice, our BBQ sauce and salad dressing. Some ¾ of packaged foods and drinks in the US now carry caloric or low-calorie sweeteners.” In a healthy diet an American should consume roughly 6-9 teaspoons of added sugars. However the average in America is currently 41 teaspoons! Statistics have found that in the 13th century one pound of sugar would have costed roughly 360 eggs. Nowadays one pound of sugar would cost the same as only two eggs… this is a serious problem. The 1980’s was the national start of making and selling “low fat” products such as milk. In all reality this was also when the lowered the fat levels and raised the sugar levels sky high. As a result of extreme amounts of sugar in products it has given scientists evidence to prove that sugar is 8x more addictive than cocaine. Another cause of obesity is
No fat diets can actually do more harm than good. The body needs moderation of all energy producing macronutrients; fats, carbohydrates and proteins. By not eating any fat, the body starts to utilize the fats stored in the body, thus depleting the stores and people lose weight. However, once those stores are gone, the good fats or HDL’s, are no longer able to filter out the bad cholesterol. This can lead to increased cholesterol levels in the blood and heart disease. A no fat diet also causes poor vitamin absorption of the necessary fat soluble vitamins A, D, E and K. Fats transport those vitamins from the liver to various parts of the body.
Obesity is a condition caused in various ways. The number one cause of obesity is above average sugar consumption. According to the health documentary, “Fed Up”, the suggested amount of sugar intake per day is 4-6 tsp.; however, the average American consumes about 41 tsp. A common misconception is that obesity is caused by calories from fats; this is because when looking for a cause of obesity, researchers misconstrued fat caused by sugar to instead be caused by calories. This caused a “less fat” phenomenon and the food industry fooled consumers by putting the term less fat on their product. When that term is put on a food product, it typically means that in order to make the food have its delectable taste, the company adds more sugar. Sugar affects the body because once it gets ingested the sugar, or glucose, travels through the bloodstream until eventually the glucose reaches the pancreas. The human pancreas senses high blood sugar levels, causing it to secrete insulin, which will send the excess sugar back into other cells so that the other cells can use the glucose as energy, but the excess sugar after that process must be stored somewhere so it gets stored inside fat cells thus resulting in weight gain. A main issue with above average sugar consumption is the addictive factor to it. According to Fed Up, sugar is 8x more addictive than cocaine. Extremely large amounts of added sugar are found in carbonated soda beverages and while drinking soda in moderation is all right, drinking these sugary beverages can put one at risk of many health issues. Another cause of obesity is unhealthy lunch options in schools. In World War II potential military recruits had to be turned down for the army because they were malnourished. In response to this issue President Truman
For the most part people don't have any clue with reference to how to burn fat fast. They additionally don't have any understanding of how to reach their desired body. In addition, they're just bewildered on the subject of learning what works and what doesn't. For this reason, many are slaves to the fitness center devoid of getting real results.
Due to being on a high fat, high-calorie diet because of my Cystic FIbrosis gaining weight has been a hightlight in my life, to help me achieve this goal of gaining weight my dad bet me that if I gained ten pounds in one appointment he would give me one hundred dollars. Seven years after making that bet I hopped on the scale at the Children's Hospital and as the numbers ticked on I knew this would be the day, this would be the appointment then there was a screeched. As the doctor came in automatically I screamed so excitedly, "I gained ten pounds! I finally beat the ten pounds! Ha!" Knowing this would be the day and indeed, it finally was. As I talked to my dietician I truly had the realization that I achieved my life long health goal, I achieved
The two Uranium masses would hit each other so hard it would be so great that the bomb would blow itself apart. The second Atomic bomb was was dropped on Nagasaki named the “fat man”, which was an implosion-type weapon. The Fat Man device specifically used 13.6 lbs, about 12 US fl oz of Pu-239, which is only 41% of bare-sphere critical mass. Surrounded by a U-238 reflector/tamper, the Fat Man's pit was brought close to critical mass by the neutron-reflecting properties of the U-238. During detonation, criticality was gained by implosion. Implosion is where the Plutonium pit was squeezed to increase its density and by detonating at the same time. The implosion method is considered more sophisticated than the gun method and only can be used if
Over one-third of American adults are not overweight - but obese. Additionally, over one-sixth of American children are obese. Obesity is not just a condition, it is a physical disorder that poses numerous additional health risks. To measure obesity, the BMI scale is used and recognizes people with a BMI of 30 or over as obese. A healthy weight is from 18.5 to 25, and overweight is classified from 25 to 30. Furthermore, obesity is a detrimental disease that not only increases the risks of contracting other chronic diseases, but becomes a lifelong depression that consists of the negative development of fat cells and the feeling of utter hopelessness.

The most negative point about notifying parents about the BMI on the “Fat Letters” is, it may affect to their children emotionally if they open the letters that show the sensitive information about themselves while bringing it all along the way home. Most of the schools are sending “Fat Letters” by just put it in the kids backpack. For example, “Kids are kids. It’s unreasonable to send sensitive information home with a child – especially when that information could prompt serious problem with information home with a child” (Maria Mora). We already know that most of the child are always confusing with the item that have sealed in the box, pack or an envelope…etc. When the school sends the “Fat Letters” home along with a kid in the backpack,
The relationship between obesity and health has been a major factor in drawing national attention to the growing prevalence of obesity. As the second leading cause of preventable deaths in the United States, obesity
