There is the death of a friend, love of a parent, and survival of those who can take it. World War II was a devastating period and many did not have the mental strength to survive it. The Book Thief is about Liesel Meminger and all her accounts with death and how she coped with it, how she survives it all through words. The book is narrated by Death, and throughout the book, he adds in his own input at times. The Book Thief makes you realize the power that words can have, you just have to pay attention to them.

Who know how long someone may look for and item that got lost like keys, cell phone, wallet, or purse. It seems that at the moment when the object is needed it tends to hide away like if it were to grow legs and find a hiding spot as if the person and object are playing hide ans seek. During and emergency cell phones will get lost and the struggle to finding them is a big pain. It may be that humans are not aware where they put the objects or just flat out block out the transition when picking up an item then leaving it somewhere else with no memory of it. Women purses are always with them but in some cases like said here: “A woman's purses, despite their great weight, frequently travel through six or seven rooms to find a hiding space under a couch” (Baker 8).

I do not really consider myself a thief. In fact if asked, I would probably proudly say with a sense of self righteousness that I have never stolen anything in my life. Thieves are criminals, and I am definitely not a criminal. Except for actually I kind of have stolen something, so really I am a thief. So that makes me both a criminal and a liar.
