Houston Police Department can better serve Southwest Houston residents from the new Southwest Police Station at 13099 Nitida St. After the police station is completed in October 2017, the 50,000-square-feet facility will allow HPD to better serve a patrol area that includes Meyerland, South Braeswood, Reliant Park and parts of Houston located in Fort Bend County. Lawrence (Trey) McIntosh III has applied for a position with the Austin Police Department. Trey is currently employed as an intern for Nacogdoches Fire & Rescue and is a student at Stephen F. Austin State University. Trey has worked with us since June of 2015 and has been a positive addition to our staff.
These units serve over 700,000 people in the county. The air support unit helps with searches and rescues. It consists of three airplanes, five helicopters and one airbase located in Meadows Field that help with investigations. Moreover, there are four detention centers which include the Central Receiving Facility, the Lerdo Detention Facility, Mojave Jail, and Ridgecrest Jail. The metro patrol unit is responsible for responding to calls for service and patrolling streets. Officers within metro patrol directly interact with citizens in the community.

On Monday, May 23, 2016, at approximately 12:45 a.m., I, Trooper Bradley Brachear, received a telephone call from Sergeant Robert Ventura. Sgt. Ventura advised Trooper Bradley Otten of Illinois State Police District 13 requested my assistance with a two-vehicle crash on Illinois Route 4 approximately 0.23 miles south of Norton Lane in Tilden Township, Randolph County. I responded from the Lebanon area to assist. The crash resulted in one fatality.

Buchanan was suing the city of San Antonio under the Americans with Disabilities Act” (Buchanan).
