In the movie Space Jam Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny vs A crowd of animated monsters in basketball. Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny are both the most important players in the movie Space Jam.Michael Jordan is a real life super star. Bugs Bunny an animated movie character.
I also noticed in the movie Space Jam that M J and B B both team up to dominate a huge crowd of animated monsters. M J gets the tip off runs ‘’open lane! The crowd screams’’. B B drives to the hoop opts from the foul pointer and he still made the bucket.’’This guy is on fire’’ The reporters say. ‘’Outstanding job team we just need to drive the ball more play defense and score points if our team does those
Often, films reflect the expectations and norms of femininity and masculinity of the particular social context in which people create it. However, a film can also challenge such gendered norms and expectations which can cause viewers to perform an inward examination and even begin to challenge the gendered societal norms and expectations within their given social context. While the film, High Noon, conceptualizes characters in their typical gender expectations and norms, the film simultaneously challenges these norms through the characters of Sheriff Will Kane and Helen Ramirez.
The enchanting and heart-warming film Satellite boy, directed by Catriona McKenzie is a story set in the Kimberley Region, north of Western Australia and follows the character of Pete on a journey of discoveries and learning Indigenous culture. McKenzie delivers and utilises a range of different film techniques which help develop the themes of conflict between tradition and changes, confronting challenges and sense of belonging. Through these film techniques, the audience is able to understand that indigenous culture will be more appreciated because of its significance to aboriginals in their life.
When you educate a young girl, she has fewer children, she takes better care of her children, she marries at an older age, and she also contributes to her country's economy. Therefore, why is the education of women so greatly underestimated in many parts of the world? This is a question that has caused many individuals to take action against the act of prohibiting a woman the right of receiving an education. To begin with, education enables parents, and the rest of society, to see the value of a girl. As stated in the film Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide, "Educate a girl, and she can change the world around her." Education acts as a safe haven for many young women and as an opportunity of having an advancement
The film “Juvies” really made me think about how the criminal justice system treats young children. Before watching the film, I was under the impression that children were treated fairly and with care when they commit a crime. After all, they are just kids. However, to my surprise, this was not the case. Many children have been cheated by the law because they are put through the adult system and are not given a fair trial. Meanwhile, these children are expected to make the rational decisions that an adult would make. There is biological evidence that kids do not have the ability to control impulsive behavior because their brains are underdeveloped. Thus, I believe this system is extremely unfair because children are not protected in adult prisons, which makes it very difficult for them to succeed once they are released back into the free world.

Anything containing oil has been an increasing problem to the environment and to people. The toxicants that the oil produce harms people with their health. In the film Fuel, the director Josh Tickell talks about how crops can produce fuel, which produces cleaner air and is safer for the public. There are also other ways that Biofuel could be produced, such as adding human waste onto algae. The way that society utilizes oil is hurting the world, which in fact is affecting the human population and environment, but people only realize it until it is too late. With biofuel people would not be in danger and it could be produced without struggling to find oil.
Two amazing basketball players have made a huge impact in basketball. The two amazing basketball players are Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.Even though Kobe Bryant was an amazing basketball player Michael Jordan played basketball way better than Kobe Bryant. My three reasons that Michael is better than Kobe are Michael has many accomplishments, very dedicated, and and has a really good out of basketball life.
One unknown to the game of basketball will assume Michael Jordan changed the game, or at least the one who made the game famous. However, before the ‘Gifted MJ’ there was one of the greatest rivalries in basketball, which raised television ratings, ergo, helped make the sport prominent. Magic Johnson and Larry bird’s rivalry was a sight to see. Magic and Bird’s contribution to basketball varies, their training techniques and personal life has led both of them to make phenomenal sport history, and everlasting legacies.
Dope is a film written and directed by Rick Famuyiwa, which depicts the struggles and achievements of Malcom Adekanbi. Malcom, a teenager who is growing up in the Darby-Dixson neighborhood commonly known as “the bottoms” in Inglewood, California, understands who he isn’t, but struggles throughout the movie to figure out who he is. This film brilliantly explains a few reasons for delinquent behavior, including societal need to label and/or define people, which is often decided based on race, gender, socioeconomic status and social standing, as well as how to overcome obstacles that have been placed in front of us, thereby changing the trajectory of our lives. The following quote from the movie given by Malcom explains how labels have made it hard for him to figure out who he is: “For most of my life I’ve been caught in between who I really am and how I’m perceived. In between categories and definitions…. But when you don’t fit in you’re forced to see the world from many different angles and points of view” (Famuyiwa, 2015). Malcom wonders if he’s a geek, a poor black child who doesn’t know his father and is being raised by a single mom, a menace, a drug dealer or is actually Harvard material.
The crowd was going crazy. It was the matchup they were all waiting for. Two of the best players to ever play the game, Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, were finally facing off. This would be one of the most memorable moments in sports history. Even though these two played in different eras, they share some qualities as well as differences.
Jordan not making his varsity team, Kobe being moved to another country at a young age. They didn’t let these obstacles hold them back from their destinies and being persistent paid off. Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan are both professional athletes apart of the national basketball association. They’ve spent their entire lives training their body and minds to match up against great athletes from around the world. Giving a dream to young athletes from around the world to become just as great as they are.
Unarguably, two of the best to ever play professional basketball. Flashy dunks, dazing buzzer beaters, and unimaginable scoring done by these two players. If you thought Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant you would be correct. Michael Jeffrey Jordan, the absolute best player to ever set foot in the NBA, or at least until Kobe Bean Bryant came along. For many years these two players have been compared side by side between each other. But who was the better player? Both players have amazing stats and have done pretty much the same things. Where one player has beaten the other in one area, the other will have beaten him in another area. This essay will be comparing and contrasting these two players’ professional basketball careers.
In his 2017 horror film Get Out, Jordan Peele not only makes his director debut, but delivers a particularly insightful view into the state of racial affairs in modern America. The stories narrative follows an African American man named Chris, who goes to visit his white girlfriend's parents at their rural home only to uncover a horrifying plot in which the girlfriend and her parents are in fact racist and have been abducting black people and using their bodies in medical experiments involving the transfer of consciousness. On a surface level, the plot of the film has the ability to come across as quite simplistic in scope, an obvious labeling of privileged American whites as racist; however, a deeper analysis reveals careful consideration to
“The Mission” is a film that gives a historically accurate depiction of the events that took place in South America around 1750, displaying the jesuit missions and their attempt at expanding missionary ventures in the area. These missions foresaw the Jesuits going to uncharted areas of the jungle inhabited by the Guarani people, demonstrating the significance assimilating the Guarani people meant to the Jesuits. Additionally, the Guarani people were accurately displayed as a self-sustained society where basic components such as: productivity, protection, justice regulations and a form of a leader was evident in the form of their King. Nonetheless, the Guarani were an isolated group of individuals who were secluded to the outside world; their only contact with outside personnelles were slave traders who would put them into forced slavery for personal benefits. Not to mention the “Treaty of Madrid”, which resulted in the social and political disputes between the, Portuguese, Spanish and Catholic community; manifesting in the form of territorial conflicts and misunderstandings amongst the three vigorous societies, where each have a different purpose for the Guarani people.
