Accordingly Makeup can be used for many things. The ancient Egyptians used makeup made from oils and cream to help clean and protect their faces from the hot mild wind. Today we are using makeup for a totally different reason. Makeup isn’t to cover up what's underneath, but it can be a work of art. Most of women are so unhappy with their look and they want to change it. You want these sleepy under bags to disappear? You want to cover the freckles? No problem!! All thanks to makeup.

Wearing makeup has become a social norm for women. Little girls put on costume makeup to play dress up because they see the “beautiful” women on TV and in the media wearing it. Those “beautiful” women become the young girls’ idols and they start to admire their looks and replicate

God gave us all unique faces, all beautiful in their own ways, so why not have a little fun with them? Why not show off what we love about ourselves, show how we like to display our features, and talk to our friends what we love about them? Wearing makeup gives us a chance to do just that. Society today, though it denies even the slightest notion of it, tells us that if we look and feel good, we should also feel some kind of insecurity. We have the ability to wear makeup in a way that fights against this idea. Makeup has the capability to transform us into confident people, which in turn molds us into braver and more courageous lights for Christ. In addition, makeup can show who and what we are as people, just like a passion

It is crucial to take care of your skin. No matter how hard you try, if your skin doesn't look or feel good, your makeup won't either. You need to make sure your skin is clean, once again to prevent bacteria from spreading around. Then you need to moisturize so your foundation can go on smoothly. The products you use here really depend on your skin type. For example, people with dry skin may need more hydration than someone who has oily skin and they might use a heavier face cream. While makeup is considered a part of growing up, it can also be seen as supporting ideas of covering up an individual’s flaws, perfectionism and consumerism.

Makeup has been around for at least 6000 years and some may even say 100000 years, but it all has evolved to what it is today. Women use makeup to enhance their natural beauty, but how they express themselves to the public has changed constantly.

Make-up has been beloved by woman throughout history. Some wear a little, some wear a lot, it can make a statement, or it can be simple. We are introduced to make-up at a young age. As a young child we all loved to play with our mother’s make-up. I know firsthand that smothering my face in my mother’s deep purple eye shadow and bright red lipstick was a favorite past time of mine. Even now as a grown adult I buy my younger cousins make-up kits for holidays and birthdays. I laugh and snap pictures of them drawing a neon pink smile across their faces with lipstick. But if you take a look at what ingredients go in to that lipstick that that ten year old has in his or her hand, it would not be so funny.

Makeup does a lot for one's looks. It can even out a person's complexion. It can improve one's looks. Many people follow strict rules when it comes to makeup. Of course, rules are important in life. However, there are times when you can toss out the rules, be who you are, and have fun.

Throughout history, the beauty industry has had a major influence on women, especially through society. For years, women have felt need to compare themselves next to celebrities’ appearances and feel as if they are not what society considers as “perfect”. Society has built up standards of beauty. Some standards were women should have a slim figure and flawless skin. Some women have the need to follow them by changing their looks and ways. Makeup is one of the ways women rely on to give them confidence with their appearance. Advertisements have a way of persuading the public in a certain way.

Makeup is used in modern times like no other time. In our society beauty means it all.

There are many different ways to apply makeup with many different products, I will be giving the basic outline and most effective way to apply it. The world of makeup consists of so many different products, tools, and color schemes, that it can be difficult to figure it all out. Every product is different in its own way, some work better than others, some are more expensive than others, and some just don't work for certain skin types. I used to have no idea what I was doing, when I first started wearing foundation I didn't set it, by the end of the day it looked like my face was basically melting off. I will explain the following steps, face washing, eye makeup, foundation, shaping your face, and setting your face.

Ever since I was a young girl, makeup has been a tremendous part of my life (BE2) I do not remember one day when I would bare a clean face in the seventh and eighth grades. Wearing makeup made sense in my head. If I darkened and lengthened my eyelashes, that would lead to more boys showing me affection. If I gave myself a blush tint to my cheeks, it would lead to more of my fellow popular girl peers showering me with compliments. And if I filled in the sparse hairs that laid upon my forehead, I was more likely to gain the attention of people looking for friends.

Some use makeup to feel glamorous and others use make up as a way to take time for themselves. However, should children be introduced to the world of makeup? At what age is it appropriate to use makeup? It is important for children to build a solid sense of self before introduction to make up. There are many negative factors that can develop in a child’s mind by introducing them to makeup at a young age, such as self-esteem issues, and blurring what children know as appearance and reality. Many believe that makeup can be a way to express our identity, but I believe makeup can be destructive to the development of children and their identities.

Foundation is my favorite part of makeup, but if you don’t get the foundation that matches your skin tone you’ll look like a ghost. Foundation gives you a clean base on your skin, it makes your skin tone one even color. Something that’s very similar to foundation is a concealer, but concealer is a little more intense, it’s typically used to hide dark circles, age spots, pores and small blemishes. To keep it all locked on, you apply powder, powder is an overcoat to get rid of any shiny parts you don’t want to stand

To me Makeup is art, expression, it can transform a person into anything of their choosing. Color is vibrance, it can tell you a lot about a person. It can give confidence and make women/men feel beautiful. It isn’t just about decorating the face, or caking on some makeup. It’s about bringing out the beauty from within in so many different ways. I always like to express myself whether it be from blue eyebrows or green eyeshadow. Other people’s opinions don’t matter to me as long as I am happy with myself.
