Late Night Broadcast Monday To start this week off, Mrs Hernandez brings you our opening news story, when she was forcibly removed from the convenience store at 4:38am this morning. The lights had gone out for the 7th time when she finally snapped, lunging at the shapeshifter who was about to purchase the last banana. A brief statement from the Convenience Stop Food Mart follows. “To Ms Hernandez - We understand that the fate of your banana cake is dependent on our quality produce, but please realise that when the demons enter for the shift change, there is simply nothing we can do. The static of the speaker system alerted us to the fact that the shadow figures are indeed here for work, which should give you ample time to approach the …show more content…
Thursday Our top story tonight, 4 priests are found floating along the the Mississippi, although their severe bloating delayed the identification process. They seemed…happy? Are we sure we have that right? This comes just days after the old church let out a sigh and collapsed, sick of being abandoned for so long. No new information has arisen about what happened to the priests boyfriend, but if anyone has information about Joseph, call 911 immediately. You should know that Lucifer has been picking up the calls of late, if this happens please talk to him, and tell him about your day. He’s lonely and some company would be nice. Friday Our top story, the town clock won’t stop chiming. Local youth Nancy Matthews was doing trigonometry homework underneath it, when the noise started. As I’m sure you all know, town legend tells of the spirit that lives within those stiff hands, reportedly an avid despiser of calculus. We are unsure of what this means for young Nancy, but her school has reported 2 teachers missing already. She has also been given detention for not adhering to the school dress code, as she arrived on Tuesday morning covered in blood. I mean really, these dress codes have just gone too far! How else are kids supposed to express their creativity today without the incredible drive of our consumeristic society? Saturday Our top story tonight comes from the hallways of the new Primus Hotel, where two hypnotised boys are reportedly
It was one Saturday night in October when Cesar and Vanessa were at Diego’s house with nothing to do other than just watch the T.v and play board games which they didn’t want to do either of them. “ Diego we should go somewhere that haunts since Halloween is right around the corner,” said Vanessa. “ Let’s go to the haunted hospital,” said Diego “ Which one,” asked Cesar, “I think it’s called Mercy Hospital,” replied Diego. So they decided to go, but before they went, they gathered stuff that might be needed might need like flashlights and water bottles in case their thirsty while they were in there. Later that night they had finally gotten there and they were looking for a way

“Whoever thinks that he alone has speech, or possesses speech or mind above others, when unfolded such men are seen to be empty”. The play “ Antigone” was about how Creon a king who supports polis, a society where the country is more important than family, dealt with a girl who buried her brother when her brother was a traitor of the city and were banned from burials. The girl’s action strongly offended Creon’s faith and Creon wanted to punish her. Creon ignored the chorus, the seer and his son’s advices and buried Antigone in a tomb. Creon’s son which is the future husband of the girl killed himself because his father said he will kill Antigone in front of him. Creon’s wife died after her son died due to grief. At last, Creon finally realized what he did and became crazy. Creon’s
In our lifetime a lot of unusual things will happen, some good and some bad. My speech in particular is about one of the bad things that has happened in our parents, maybe even grandparents lifetimes. This case is frightening and disturbing, but the most shocking part is how he doesn’t remember what he did or how he did it. All he remembers is being taken into custody and an abnormal loss of teeth. My information is from “my life among the serial killers”, written by Helen Morrison, an interview from CBS news, and an article written by one of the detectives assigned to the case. In “my life among the serial killers”, Morrison tells about her time hypnotizing “Baby faced” Richard Macek and the horrifying story of what he did.
A. Attention Getter: How many people in this room own or have owned an IPod, IPhone, or IPad? Isn’t astounding how one man’s vision and innovation gave us all devices that have made the world today more connected than it’s ever been? Devices we NOW can’t imagine leaving behind when we walk out the front door in the morning. Whether it’s listening to music in your bedroom, reading the news on the train ride to work, checking your email at home or even sitting in a waiting room watching Netflix. It’s hard to deny the influence and impact that Steve Jobs has had on modern culture.

“The Atlanta Exposition Speech” by Booker T. Washington, “The Talented Tenth” but W.E.B. DuBois, and “The Negro’s Place in American Life at the Present Day” by T. Thomas Fortune were written during the end of the nineteenth century when African Americans were faced with great challenges on a range of different levels. These documents are very like one another considering they are all addressing the same issues, but I also feel like each of them are unique from one another because of the person who wrote them. Washington focuses more on an industrial education so the blacks can go to school. He has the whites to believe that it will also affect them and make things better for them at the time and that they will
As first stated by the ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle, the art of rhetoric in persuasive speaking is based upon the usage of the three key components, logos, ethos and pathos. Logos representing the usage of logic and reasoning within the speech or text, ethos representing the writer or speaker’s credibility and pathos representing how the speaker or author establishes an emotional connection with the audience. In former president Bill Clinton’s 2012 democratic national convention he relies heavily upon Aristotle’s persuasive speaking techniques to help convince the participants of the convention and those watching at home to reelect the nominee of the Democratic Party, current
“The greater part of our happiness or misery depends on our disposition not our circumstances,” once said by Martha Washington the first First Lady in history. In the White House, there have been many different personalities, and families living there. Including forty four first ladies and their families. Each woman has had many different responsibilities and pressures throughout their lifetime (Waldrup 1).
Good morning, My name is Jordan and this morning I will be touring you around today’s Ned Kelly museum exhibit.
The purpose of George Bush’s speech is to justify his future military actions and to unite the Americans by appealing to their emotions. Bush used a variety of emotive language and stylistic devices to express his concern over the incident for the audience.
On December 29, 1940, President Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR) spoke to the nation via radio broadcast. The American public had come to appreciate his radio address, which were known as fireside chats. However, on this night, Roosevelt’s tone and delivery took on an ominous air. This fireside chat had little to do with the ongoing economic recovery. Instead, FDR spoke about national security. He told the nation of the alliance of three nations. Two European nations Germany, Italy, and one Asian nation Japan recently formed the axis powers. He explained that the axis powers intended to dominate the world, and end democratic ideals. He expressed concern for what might possibly happen should the aggressor nations from Europe or Asia advance into
Draft speech of Mrs. D. Purandeswari, MoS-HRD (HE) as Chief Guest on the occasion of the Annual Day of the Rainbow Concept School, Mahaboobnagar, A.P on 9th February, 2007 at 5.30 p.m.
I have lived in this world for seventeen years, and throughout these years I have always felt like I have been betrayed. When I was young, my mom used to lie to me. She would tell me that we were going to Disneyland when we were actually going to the dentist. She would tell me that the Boogey man would haunt me if I did not go to bed by ten o’clock every night. She would tell me that the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus exist. The worst part is, I believed her. The five-year-old me had never felt so betrayed in my life. I hate being lied to. I mean, everyone does, right?
