St Clare of Assisi was born July 16, 1194 Assisi and died August 11, 1253 (aged 59) Assisi. St Clare is an Italian saint and one of the first followers of Saint Francis of Assisi. She founded the Order of Poor Ladies, a monastic religious order for women in the Franciscan tradition, and wrote their Rule of Life, the first set of monastic guidelines known to have been written by a woman. Following her death, the order she founded was renamed in her honour as the Order of Saint Clare, commonly referred to today as the Poor Clare’s. Her feast day is on the 11th of August.
I am choosing St. Anastasia because she made it through tough times with her faith always in God. St. Anastasia was not canonized, she has been declared a saint by the early Christian community based on her life of heroic virtue and her martyrdom. St. Anastasia spent her time caring for the prisoners. She would feed them and care for them if they were ill. The prisoners she cared for were not there for any violent crimes, but were locked up for being Christian. A virtue that I identitfy with St. Anastasia is charity because I help people that are in need and out of the kindness of my heart. St. Anastasia was so self-less about helping other people, even if it meant risking her life. Her father was a pagan and her mother was secretly a
St. Ignatius of Antioch understood the Christian faith to be objective and sensible, stating that Christianity is fundamentally a religion based in historic, tangible realties . He was adamant to the fact that Jesus Christ was a real human with real flesh; he encountered real suffering and died a truly human death. Ignatius saw Christian faith and the person of Jesus Christ in such a way that it put him at odds with the Gnostics, who held to a Docetic Christology that was circulating widely among the Church. For Ignatius, this was a serious issue that needed to be addressed due to the purity of the faith and the truth it held. At stake was the validity of the incarnation, suffering, death, and resurrection of the person of Jesus Christ. If this is not real or true, Ignatius believed that man
After a year of negotiations, Francis's ransom was accepted, and he was released from prison in 1203. When he came back to Assisi, however, Francis was a very different man. Upon his return, he was dangerously sick in both mind and body—a battle-fatigued casualty of war. i like bannanas cause they taste
To me, Saint Quiteria has proven she is more than worthy of being called a saint. Saint Quiteria was born during the second century, and was a part of a nonuplet, or nine children born at the same time. Quiteria’s mother and father were both high figures a part of the Roman Empire. Her mother feared she would be compared to an animal, because of the amount of daughters she had at once, she ordered a maiden from town to drown her nine baby daughters. The maiden taking mercy on the children, decided to raise them with the other peasant women. The nine children were raised in a close-community and raised in the Catholic faith. A few years later, the daughters were arrested for refusing to believe in a Roman god, and they were all taken to the governor – who was their father¬ - who recognized them through their familiar features.
When I first went to St. Mary's in preschool did never wanted to go because I just wanted to stay home. That's how it was for my early schooling years, but eventually I made friends and was having a good time at school. I think that the School of St. Mary has made me a better person throughout my life. My favorite thing at St. Mary's was the sports some years we didn't win often and other years we did. At school the teachers helped me reach my academic goals and were very nice to me. Now in eighth grade I like going to school to see my friends and teachers. In school right now I have a lot of fun. My favorite at St. Mary's are math and science. With great teachers like Ms. Baniewcz I can reach the moon. St. Mary's has taught me well and I will
Do you know how many of your County neighbors are barely making ends meet—often not earning enough to cover just one unexpected expense? A recent survey revealed that about 46% of Americans don’t feel they have enough money to cover a $400 emergency expense. Rather than paying it outright, these individuals and families have to put the expense on a credit card or simply cannot cover it.

Two well-known saints in Catholic tradition are St. Francis of Assisi and St. Dominic de Guzman. They are both well known and respected; Francis and Dominic are common Catholic names and their lives have been the subject of many books, articles, movies, etc. It seems to be the common opinion that St. Francis and St. Dominic were very similar. After all, they are both great Medieval saints who lived the consecrated life. However, they cannot be exactly the same, or even have the same vocation. It is not certain, at this point, if St. Francis and St. Dominic have enough similarities to be called similar; if they do, it is unclear how much they are. After some research on the part of the author, the truth appears to be that St. Francis and St.
Clare a plain robe and veil. Under the advisement of Francis of Assisi, Saint Clare decided to join the convent of the Benedictine Nuns of San Paulo. Saint Clare showed an extreme amount of courage and strength, by giving her entire life for Jesus Christ. Over time, other women joined the convent to become brides of Christ, and gave up their wealth and money. They were called the “Poor Ladies of San Damiano” and were known for their devotion to the Lord and how powerful their prayers were; which is why Assisi was saved from invaders twice. Over time they ended up naming the order “The Poor Ladies”.

Saint Agnes of Bohemia shares her feast day with my birthday; March 2. She was was born in Prague to her parents, the king and the queen of Bohemia. She had one brother and was a very religious kid. When she was very young, she made her decision of entering the religious life. She later declined a marriage and decided that God was more important than a marriage. God was the biggest part in Saint Agnes’s life. Instead of marriage she became a nun. She then built a hospital for the poor started a Poor Clare monastery.
My saint’s name is Saint Catherine of Alexandria, she was a martyr, her feast day was on November 25th. Catherine was an 18 year old girl who loved to read and study. She was well liked for both her beauty and intelligence, so Emperor Maxentius so he decided that he would be able to put up with both of them. Saint Catherine was not okay with that and refused to marry him. Roman gods were sent to her to try to convince her to marry him but she always had an excuse not to, so eventually the gods started changing their mind about Maxentius. She was imprisoned, however over two-hundred people went to go see her, including Maxentius wife but Catherine would still not change her way of thinking, she was very stubborn and stood up for what she
