If students could choose their own electives, it would provide more self knowledge, and students would be much happier to come to school. People would look forward to doing the classes they picked. In my opinion, coming to the decision of whether or not to fast-track grade 12 courses was a relatively effortless decision. Based on my interpretation of the data, taking grade 12 Chemistry and Computer Science would be way more beneficial in the long run. I wouldn’t need to spread myself thin during grade 12, and I could give the grade 12 courses priority in grade 11. To me this all made perfect sense, however, I understand how someone else might come to the opposite conclusion. While I tended to pay attention towards the idea of having an easier grade 12 year, somebody else may not have been able to get over the thought of having absolutely no friends in their class. Why does society pressure children to grow up so fast? We face pressures from the media, friends, family and our schools. Children have to choose an estimated career path of which they would like to pursue when they come towards the end of their secondary education. I am a firm believer that a child is only classified an adult when the suffix on their age doesn’t end in ‘teen’. As yet, 17 and 18 year olds still need to decide upon a career path on which they can embark and pursue jobs in the future. Something has to be done about this pressing matter in today’s society, as careers chosen at university are being increasingly wasted.

When computer games get in a student's way, nothing more will be left but tired eyes, empty pockets, and piles of school and home works unattended. What makes it worse is that they get to obsessed with these trend that it evolves into a harmful vice which pushes them until they reach the point of neglecting school and cutting classes just to go to those stations and play. These youths are apparently addicted. They are destroying their future without even noticing it.
