Students Should Have Recess In Middle School

Recess is a time for kids to take a break from their class work, it’s typically 15-20 minutes and it helps them release their energy built up from sitting still all day. Many middle schools do not have recess fit into their schedule because it is too much class time wasted. I believe that middle schools should have recess because it allows the students to release energy, it allows the brain to have a break, and it can help the students exercise.

Middle school students should be able to have recess. Children and teens are definitely right about saying that they need more recess time. Most schools are not giving enough time for recess, and children and teens are not satisfied.More recess time should be given to children and teens because it would help them with many things. Schools should understand these reasons and act upon them. It is important that they know why they should be giving their children and teens a longer recess

Ultimately, middle school student should have recess. Although some may say that recess takes away learning time for play time, which they can do during gym class they are wrong. Recess helps student be able to concentrate better in their afternoon classes, so that they can learn things quicker. Which overall they will learn more in the school year if they have recess. It may take away learning time but without recess by the end of the day teens are daydreaming. And will take way longer to learn things that should take them 5 minutes. Recess also gives students a time to make their own decisions and learn how to communicate with others when they get jobs. It also keeps students active and healthy so that they are able to come to school healthy

One major reason why people support structured recess is because, “Recently, policy makers and funding organizations have called for more opportunities for daily activity as a means to address childhood obesity.” (Text 1, Lines 4-6). Structured recess lets students be able to play the same activity. This means that there will be less conflict because students often don’t agree with playing the same activity. For example, one group of students would want to play basketball while another group would want to play football. Do middle school students need recess? I think that they do need recess because some kids need a break from learning. Another reason is kids and adults need some fresh air and exercise throughout the day. Somebody might disagree with this idea because the teacher dont want the kids to take up their whole class period. If the teacher don’t want the kids to take up their class period we could possible do it on double or seventh period.

The time is 12:30. The middle schoolers and high schoolers are watching the elementary students in envy on the playground, wishing they could have recess. They have had no chance to talk with friends, be creative, or just have fun outside. Every student needs a chance to do these things, not just elementary students. Middle and high school students should have recess despite all evidence to the contrary.

Another reason why I think that elementary schools should have longer recess is because kids need 30-60 minutes outside a day, that is double the amount we are given. Being outside helps children be less fidgety and more focus on their school work. You wouldn’t want a child to fail because they weren’t focus. Part of the reason why kids need that amount of time is because the sun gives out VD which is good for people especially for growing children. I know that kids also have allergies when they are outside, however they should be responsible enough to stay away from whatever they are allergic to. Being outside also helps prevent heart

My first reason, Why I think we should have recess Is because It helps kids learn. By giving them a way to explore different things around them. Helps kids brains reset and it is also Scientifically tested. And last It helps kids improve their memberizion skills.

I think students in middle school should have short breaks in between class throughout the day. Students would not sleep in class. Students would get more exercise than just sitting in class. Students would not talk in class.

Many students wish that there would be a time for recess in middle school. I think there should be a set time for recess. I think there should be one because it would help kids to get their energy out, and would also give the teachers a break from teaching.

Over half of students at Hebron Middle School think that they should wear what they want, but teachers say no. Students “cheat” the middle school rules, meaning they sneak clothing in that are not allowed in this specific school building. The kids here in middle school want to wear tops and think that this school is the only middle school that does not allow wide strapped clothing. On the Ramona Vikings website and on many others, talks about how halter-tops, sheer/see through blouses, and spaghetti strapped clothing is not permitted in school but wide strapped tank tops are. If someone were permitted to go outside during school it would help them concentrate better for their next classes. Concentration is heavily affected by nature.

I believe there shouldn’t be longer recesses . Some people feel kids get more exercise and well get healthier . Some have argued that longer recesses mean more time for kids to interact with each other and make friends . I disagree because it means a longer time for bullies to strike.
