When someone mentions countries that are most advanced, Canada definitely comes to mind. Canada is known for being a mosaic of culture whereas multiple cultures exist in the same time and space, but remain independent. However, one subculture called the Amish keeps a safe distance from technology, and therefore our modern society, since it is their belief that it weakens the family structure. The Amish is one of the most profoundly distant subcultures that is found in Canada. The members of this society socialize with one another, and they have very little interaction with the outside world. They believe that community should come first and that the family unit is extremely important, they value technology to a certain extent and are not slaves to our society’s expectations. These are values that should be adapted into our society to keep our society pure.

The Amish people don’t simply talk when it comes to helping and supporting their peers within their community. They’re entirely committed to being there for each other when challenging times arise, or when disaster strikes. They have a profound respect for others, and demonstrate what it looks like to live by the Golden Rule. One of the Amish customs that is most admirable is the way they care for their family members and the rest of the people in their community.
