When people talked about the leaders of some famous companies, they firmly believed that these leaders leadership talent is born. In the book “Mindset: The New Psychology of Success”, Carol S. Dweck discussed the fix mindset and growth mindset how to affect themes such as sports, business, relationships, and parents. Leaders with fixed mindset feel that they are superman or a genius, consider that employee who has more ability be more useful than the person who work hard and want to grow. Also, they also believe their company will not be defeated and replace. On the other side, leaders with a growth mindset preferred many people can become an excellent leader by hard-working and learn how to select people: for their mindset, not their pedigrees. Although both mindsets can make a leader successful, the growth mindset person gained more success in business, since they have true self-confidence and think they are not excellent but try their best to learn, credit and nurture. They also know how to use feedback to strengthen their leadership and arrange the company 's employees appropriately. In the teamwork, they will work to solve the problem with staff quickly. They notice their improvement in their employees on the management side and also believe themselves can be educated in negotiation abilities.

Success can mean different things to different people. The definition of success can change for a person at different stages of their life. A person's culture, family, friends, experiences, and environment can be a big influence on defining what success is to that individual. We all hear the stories of people failing and failing until one day they make it to the top, beat the bad guy or pass the trial. The story can also go that they got all they desired or raised up from the ashes. All of these have one thing in common, it is at the end of the story. It's never the beginning or middle. It's always at the end of the story that the person succeeds in their quest. But why does it have to be at the end? Simply, like how there is no good without evil. You can not have succeed without struggling and failing first.
What matters the most is what you do day by day over the long haul, explains the author. Growth mindset is the cone to an ice cream. It is the foundation of what I think a successful person is. Without it one couldn’t use the characteristics mentioned above in more ways than one. Across oceans and seas, in every village, city or town, an apple falls at 9.8 meters per second squared. This fact has remained unchanged since it was discovered, and the myth of individual opportunity and the myth of gender in the United States have also stayed true to its original meaning since the beginning of the myths, only with a few minor changes. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines the word myth as “an idea or story defined by many people but is not true. These myths, in particular the myth of individual success and the myth of gender can give us unrealistic beliefs about the society we live in and cause psychological harm due to society’s preset gender roles that are pounded in our heads and reinforced by our peers, our families and the media. Through educating people about the realities that underlie these myths and finding ways to break free of gender roles as well as encouraging others to do the same we can start a movement to end the chains that tightly secure us to behave based on expectations.
Having a growth mindset can help a person with a positive attitude, and a positive attitude can help people improve to accomplish a task. If someone has a fixed mindset they will be less likely to succeed. When someone is trying to win a football game or accomplish a task that their boss gives them at work they need to be in the right state of mind to complete the task. If a person messes up they need to fix their mistake so they can succeed. If someone has a fixed mindset he/she might just get angry and not worry about improving. A person's thoughts determine a person's failures or successes because if people say “you can't, you won't”, if people think negatively they won't try hard enough, if people think positively they have a growth mindset.
Employing a growth mindset will allow students to achieve bigger goals and overcome challenges with greater ease. Regardless of which direction a person chooses to take, they will require common skills such as collaboration, responsibility, honesty, or preparation. The purpose of school is to aid students in developing and improving important aspects of their characters, so that they can become well-rounded, productive individuals. In order to successfully navigate through my academic experience, I hope to keep a growth mindset which will allow me to take on new experiences and overcome obstacles. By keeping my options open and having a willingness to always learn from difficulties and mistakes, there will be more benefits in store for me. Nowadays, a great deal of students view their education as brutal competition where their grades are the only thing that matter. Those who struggle or make mistakes are regarded as unintelligent and as a result, students shun challenging situations to avoid the risk of failing. Keeping this kind of mindset in turn restricts and reduces the creativity and enthusiasm students have for learning. Having the right mindset goes a long way when you are trying to become successful. You have to be able to have faith in your own ability and manage negative thoughts so they do not discourage you. According to Matt Mayberry, a former pro football player, turned into a motivational speaker believes that, “To be successful, you need to have a positive mental attitude, or PMA. If you do nothing about negative thoughts, chances are you will be settling for average. “Mayberry’s point is that you need to have a positive outlook on life for good things to happen. This is something many people struggle with when they hit roadblocks in what they are trying to achieve and end up losing faith not only on themselves, and also start to question if they are even good enough to strive for more. You have to actually believe that it can be done. Belief in oneself is a critical first step of being successful because no one may have faith in you at first. According to Michael Gram Richard, who is an author and an editor he states, " Growth Mindset believe that intelligence can be developed, and that the brain is like a muscle that can be trained. This leads to the desire to improve." In other words, Gram believes that everyone has the same intelligence you just have to develop it. People with this type of mindset do not let obstacles stand in their way, instead they try to find a way around them. This is a very important trait to have considering that many successful people face countless obstacles. Success is defined as the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. We live in a world where success is viewed as gaining popularity or earning large amounts of money, but is that truly the aim or purpose everyone is looking to achieve? The word success is far from universally understood because everyone has different aim or purpose they are looking to achieve. While many people view success as popularity or large amounts of money, I believe that success is an elusive state of happiness and content in a person’s life, but success can also be elusive to the people we say as successful.
Esteemed developmental psychologist Carol Dweck (2006) coined the word mindset after dedicated research on success and achievement. Mindsets are defined as beliefs - beliefs about oneself and their most basic qualities. In “Mindset: The New Psychology of Success” Dweck expounds upon her theory that there are two different types of mindsets. The fixed mindset is a crystallized approach to mentality. In a fixed mindset, individuals believe their basic qualities i.e., intelligence, talents, fixed traits are innate and largely predetermined. In contrast, the growth mindset is a fluid approach towards mentality. The growth mindset emphasizes the role of development and culmination of mental processes. In a growth mindset, individuals believe that their most basic abilities can be developed through hard work and continuous practice. Dweck claims that all individuals are born as learners and possess a growth mindset. However, as individuals begin to grow and interact with the environment they can either retain the growth mindset or transfer to a more static mindset. This theory illustrates the dynamic nature of mindsets and the involvement of external factors on an individual's outlook. One of the factors that influence mindset are cultural stereotypes. Kanahara (2006) defines a stereotype as a “particular belief about a group of individuals” (306). As an individual gains experience, stereotypes influence mindset by grouping society into categories and generalizing behavior.
