Okay, we all know wonder, but this is kind of a behind the scenes part two called, Auggie and me it was published in august 2015. It doesn't go along with the story, it is more telling the whole book in a different way. R.J Palacio is the author of this exciting story she lives in New york city with her husband, two sons, and two dogs. In the beginning of the book there is an introduction about the author and why she wrote the book. R.J says she wrote chapters for pretty much everyone. Amos, miles, Henry, all friends of Auggie, Nate (dad of Auggie), Isabel (mom of Auggie), and even daisy (Auggies dog). The characters she chose were Julian, pluto, shingaling. Julian's chapter is really surprising if you read the first book. It's no spoiler that in the first book, “Wonder”, Julian doesn't like Auggie too much, he portrays a bully. He put mean notes in his locker, he made a game called the pledge, so if you touch Auggie or anything he touched you would have the pledge. Julian also turned everyone against Auggie, you can tell he was a mean kid to Auggie. When Julian got his class picture he made sure that his picture to not have Auggie in it. In his chapter he says, “I hope you’re planning on burning that” to his mom and he meant it. You would not believe what he really thinks of Auggie though, you'll just have to read his chapter to find out. …show more content…
Pluto is Auggie's old friend Christopher. Christopher and Auggie were best friends from the time they were babies until Christopher's family moved away. they were Star Wars buddies through thick and thin. Pluto's chapter is a great story of all Auggies memories that you may have missed in the first wonder
The Wonder is an award -winning novel and movie that has touched millions of people. The book was written in 2012, and the film was released on November 17, 2017. This movie is about a 10 year old boy that has had 27 surgeries since he was born. Because of his rare condition, he looks quite unique compared to the other kids his age. Sadly the result of his physical appearance is that he gets bullied and left out of social activities at school. For example, as shown at the first cafeteria scene, no one had the desire to sit with him. Because he looked different. All this proves how brave Auggie really is. Write 3 or 4 message here to clear them for reader.

August Pullman is a 10-year-old boy who has a mandibulofacial dysostosis. Which causes his face to appear different. Because of Auggie’ appearance, people a very unkind to him. Auggie has gotten 27 surgeries to help him with his facial deformity. He lives with his parents, his older sister Via, and his dog Daisy. Auggie has been home schooled up until the 5th grade, but his parents decide it's time for him to go to a real school. They register him to Beecher Prep and take him to meet the principal, Mr. Tushman. Before Auggie starts school he takes a tour with three students who will be in the same grade as he was going in. On the tour, he meets Jack Will, Charlotte, and Julian. Jack Will was the kind kid, but Julian was really mean to
I think that Auggie’s experience at Beecher Prep was a good one for him to get a taste of the real world. The reason I think this is because he made good friends like Summer & Jack and to a lesser extent Reid. Also, he made good relationships with his teachers and Principal. Also another example is how more towards the end of the the story Amos and Henry stand up for him when 7th graders mess with them.
August, nicknamed Auggie, says in the first chapter, “I won't describe what I look like … Whatever you’re thinking, it’s probably worse .”(pg. 3) Auggie is beginning to start middle school; he has a meeting with Mr. Tushman, the principal. Jack Will, Julian, and Charlotte gave Auggie a tour around the school. When the three students first met August they were afraid that they might catch some sort of disease. In honor of Halloween soon approaching the students had the option to dress up in costumes and come to school.
The first reason school had a positive impact on Auggie’s life was that he made many friends. It was shown in part eight, where Auggie thought, “I walked with Summer and Jack, and we just couldn’t stop cracking up. Everything made us laugh. We were in that giggly kind of mood where all someone has to do is look at you and you start laughing.” Before Auggie went to school,he was only comfortable around family and a few other friends, but now he has opened himself up to almost everybody in his grade. Another example in part
In a book that commences with Solem, Though a high end funeral of a global leader does not sound any attractive to a reader, the book, The Guns of Augest immediately captures the attention of the reader to the world history as it unfolded in the First World War with edge hanging suspense and accuracy of history . The book details vividly how a local war turned out to be a struggle for the Europeans as there was a call to war against Russia. Immediately after the war, it turned to be a global affair (Tuchman pg13). The book commences at a funeral procession of King Edward VII of England in 1910. In this procession there were a number of highly respected Kings and Nobles globally and this was
This quote highlights Auggie's desire to be known for something other than the way he looks. He is not so different from other kids on the inside, and when people get to know him, they find a funny, likable person worth befriending. The problem is that few people take the opportunity get to know him, since many people are put off by the way he looks. Auggie wants everyone to realize that it matters more what is on the inside than on the
Auggie's debated “We can't protect him for the rest of his life, well how do you expect me to send him to school being a goat to slaughter at the school, you know that kids are hateful and will make him the laughing stock of the school”(10) Auggie's parents go back and forth between letting him go to school after hearing what happened on the first, they just want the best for him and nothing else but they don't know that the best is, they are
Julian is probably the meanest person in the book. He has done many things that makes people think, “Why would anybody do that?” Sometimes, it doesn’t make sense to why he is so mean, but maybe him having a view of the story that would give some reason to why he did what he did. Wonder has almost all of the character’s points of view in it, besides Julian; if we did have Julian’s view, we might learn more about why he bullied August or any new insight on his life that is unknown to the Wonder readers. He still does not need to be looked at as a good guy, but some type of reason he would be so mean, whether it is a good or bad reason, should, in my opinion, be seen.
Meanwhile, although Auggie aces every pop quiz, he struggles socially at school. One toxic teacher's pet (played by Bryce Gheisar) mercilessly teases him whenever adults are out of earshot. Predictably, after a few difficulties, Auggie makes some meaningful connections.
In any case, Justin's situation toward the finish reminds carefully readers that there are endless approaches to be lucky, and Auggie is lucky in the most ideal method for them all: he has a love and honoring family that dependably remains by him. The "war" beginning in the public school over Jack with Auggie is an awesome case of the way school can be an
I like how the book went. It started out as someone who didn’t like going out much because of his face.Auggie always used to where an astronaut helmet to hide it. His only friends at the time were the kids on his road.
Wonder is a fantastic book whose realistic and feel good plot can be attributed to it’s multi-perspective storyline. Where we can see how all the characters feel and think, and get a sense of the whole picture. Wonder is an inspiring book that I would recommend to anyone to read over the summer break, rereading at least two times, to fully absorb all the goodness the book offers. 10 out of 10 for
As per IT’s perspective, he was doing good for the society. But, he wasn’t doing any good. Therefore, being on the ‘Good or Evil’ side is just just a conflict within IT in this case. Moreover, in the novel “Wonder” by Palacio, R.J., August is a child having medical issues due to which Julian bullied him. But, towards the end of the novel, Julian confesses that he was not doing right and apologises for his mistakes. This point leads to the fact that people can have both good and bad qualities, there is no specific categorisation for the
