In the article “Be Cool To The Pizza Dude” by Sarah Adams it’s not actually about a pizza man. Overall the article talks about the 4 principles to treat the pizza man. During the whole article it references a pizza man, it is a symbol not a real pizza man. Principle one was about giving him the benefit of the doubt on the road. By letting it go if they don’t signal before changing lanes, letting them exit before, or even letting them in when they are trying to change lanes. Principle two was about the practice in empathy to the less fortunate. It talked about how people will take a job just so that was not their idea, or that is beneath them that they have higher standards. To think that maybe these people that are delivering the pizza this
“Be Cool To The Pizza Dude” is a laid back narrative. First, her main point is to be nice and kind to the pizza delivery dude. She states you need to be forgiving to the pizza delivery guy, no matter if he cuts or pulls out in front of you. The second point is empathy. The author states that the customers and people in general need to be grateful for the pizza delivery dudes. Next, the lesson is to respect their honesty. The pizza dudes never did anything harmful so respect their honesty. Finally, the last lesson is to give the pizza guy worth. He is just another human just like the rest of the world. The author of this narrative is very laid back but clear on her point. The author didn’t write this narrative just to express her opinion on the pizza delivery dude. She wrote it to tell the readers her message
2005 will mark the 100-year anniversary of the first pizzeria in America. Americans eat approximately 100 acres of pizza each day, which is about 350 slices per second. According to an American Dairy Association random sampling survey, pizza is America’s fourth most craved food behind cheese, chocolate, and ice cream. American’s obviously love pizza; we have even designated the month of October as National Pizza Month. But whether you bake your pizza in your kitchen oven, in a wood-burning stove, eat it in a restaurant, or choose delivery, there is no denying this phenomenon has become as American as apple pie.
Sarah Adams article “Be Cool to the Pizza Dude” addresses how we can remember to be kind towards others. She explains “Sometimes when I have become so certain of my ownership of my lane, daring anyone to challenge me, the pizza dude speeds by me in his rusted Chevette. His pizza light atop his car glowing like a beacon reminds me to check myself as I flow through the world.” Likewise, we must remember that we share a planet, we like to believe that we are the center of the universe. David Wallace Foster demonstrates how this is our default setting, he states “We rarely talk about this sort of natural, basic self-centredness, because it's so socially repulsive, but it's pretty much the same for all of us, deep down. It is our default setting, hard-wired into our boards at birth.” Adams recognizes her own default setting, her article reveals that when she becomes too certain
Based on the article it shows Perfect Pizzeria is a normal company. The company has a basic structure for the employees like any other company. They have store manager, shift manager, and workers to do labor like making pizza, cleaning dishes, cashier and more.
In a survey of Houstonians, over 82% of those surveyed says that they would rather travel on a four lane street compared to a two lane street because they feel that it is faster (Vu). With more lanes on Old Foltin Road and Essie Road, drivers will have more opportunity to switch lanes if the lane that they are currently on is slow or an accident has occurred on the lane. This will reduce the time spent in traffic. By reducing the time spent in traffic, one is able to help reduce the congestion by being one less car on the streets. Additionally, on a multiple lane street, there is typically a fast lane (“When”). The fast lane, usually the farthest left lane, is designed for drivers who tend to drive faster than others around them. The fast lane enables traffic to flow smoother which in turn will deduce the amount of congestion. “The left lane is saved for those currently passing. It is a very simple, yet effective rule that helps drivers stay safe and minimizes traffic congestion” (“When”). With the reduction of traffic congestion due to the fast lanes, drivers are able to have more time on their hands to spend with their families. By using more lanes, Old Foltin Road and Essie Road will be able to reduce the disruption of vehicles entering and exiting Our Lady of
In Sarah Adam’s “Be Cool to the Pizza Dude” she believes there are four basic points to maintain the “pizza dude philosophy.” Principle one describes how we must have humility and forgiveness towards the pizza guy. Secondly, being cool and having patience towards the pizza guy is having empathy towards him. Third, being cool towards the pizza guy is showing great honors towards him and the honest work that we do, as humans. Lastly, coolness towards the pizza guy is showing equality. Adam’s essay shows that there are many people in the world that deserve respect and kindness regardless of their job or title. A very important job that people often disregard is social workers. Social workers fight every day for those who cannot find or defend
This uses love because some people love pizza especially italians because came up with pizza. This uses greed because they say they have better pizza than anybody else the serves pizza’s and have better ingredients. Papa John’s uses fairness because it's only fair to the people that live in the U.S.
The papers my group discussed on Thursday were What Ever Happened to the “Cool” Kids? Long-Term Sequelae of Early Adolescent Pseudomature Behavior” by Joseph Allen et al., The Quest for Identity in Adolescence: Heterogeneity in Daily Identity Formation and Psychosocial Adjustment Across 5 Years by Andrik I. Becht et al., and Risk-taking and the adolescent brain: who is at risk? by Adriana Galvan et al. However, the main two we focused on was and Risk-taking and the adolescent brain: who is at risk and What Ever Happened to the “Cool” Kids? Long- Term Sequelae of Early Adolescent Pseudomature Behavior”. We discussed specifically how these two papers fit together in which growing up as a bad person coincides with risky behavior as an adolescent. The paper

One thing I see that my community lacks is the disrespect of driver to a bike lane and the way they consider it as part of the street and when you are there they honk their horn on you telling you to get off the road when they are actually who are doing the wrong thing. They use their power against you because they got a life taker car and we got a small little bike that is power by your feet. It had happened to me a lot where I am one the bike lane cars just honk and then goes over the bike lane which is really unfair.
Well my point of view for the diversity of this movie is that in our world diversity is totally different than the movie because people follow and do things what other people do, some people are afraid to show their diversity, a lot of people are not afraid to show their diversity, there are a lot of unique people in out there with different diversity’s. In the movie there where to sides of diversity’s, there were white people who lived and worked in a black neighbourhood. There was a lot of the same diversity’s in the movie. The central issue of the diversity in the plot was that a white family with a pizzeria who worked there and lived there and in their pizzeria they had a “wall of fame” decorated with American-Italians, and black people would come in start complaining about the race, as there were no black people on that wall of fame which got them all
I would like the dornos to build in my area is a Incredible Pizza. If the dornos build a Incredible Pizza in my area it would make everyone happy because we want have to drive all the way out of town just to throw a party or have fun.Incredible Pizza has games and you can also eat there to so you can do both things at the same time.
Some drivers in this sea of horrible ones seem to be retaining good driving habits. Just the other day I needed to turn into a store off of a two-lane road and a kind gentleman let me into the parking lot, by stopping short of the driveway. Most people with little cars have no idea how much more room it takes to swing a bus or truck when turning most
Back when I was only five years old, pizza was always one of my favorite food in my life.
